Hype! KKairos here (like Zephyr elsewhere here, one of the Missing Cats devs and one of the One Hero's Trash devs). Thanks for featuring us, you made several days by doing this video.
Finally these itch games get a spotlight! I made a huge couple lists on the subreddit naming some favorites. The lightkeeper and trespasser devs last game was better than both imo! Off the top of my head too, plagued station 2, Wanted (the gameboy western one), transmission: kill, LXD red honey, tank-o, echo of cinder, and meteora all are great
Oh man. LXD Red Honey deserves to be polished and given a proper commercial steam release. It's just that good. A lot of MVM games nail the 'feel' really well, but I don't know if any MVM game, or even some games I've paid for, felt so good to play.
Some more Free MVs I liked: Momodora 2 Kobold Siege A Palace for Fools A Graveyard for Dreams Insomnia: A Sleepless Journey One Last Adventure Wonder Flower Infernal Throne Satan Loves Cake
How do you even find these? Regardless, awesome list and your commentary is just so good. Some people just go through bulletpoints but your reviews flow like a good essay! I would definetely play these after a hard day of work as they're nice and short for one evening. Also these devs should add their games to steam, it really helps with exposure and maybe can garner up enough of a fanbase to fund bigger projects?
All the games in the video look like a student project, a very simple student project. Only Millennial Warrior stands out, but only a little bit in terms of visuals, it has a lot of problems. Monotonous animations, monotonous environment, platforms hanging in the air and other and other problems.
Hi! I was one of the devs for Missing Cats and One Hero's Trash. A bit of context here: they were entries to Metroidvania Month competitions, meaning we made everything in one month! A bit of rough edges is the norm here. I can't speak for all the other games, but Millenial Warrior was also an MVM entry (and a solo entry at that!). Also, we are amateurs making games outside of full-time jobs! We made short games that you can play and enjoy for free. Or not.
@@zephyr_creationsСпасибо за ответ. Your answer explains a lot. As I wrote earlier, it's something close to student projects or created within the framework of a game jam or something similar. It may seem harsh, but one must still evaluate realistically. As an advancement in developing abilities, developing skills and abilities - this is commendable, maybe in the future there will be something more. But as a full-fledged game, this is not highly rated.
What do you think of this new series? Do you find it useful?

I truly hope they proceed with some bigger projects, there's huge potential here!

I cannot recommend enough that you try out The Trespasser :D Don't judge a book by its cover!
