    Baretta, there is something about the guitar that just makes it fun.

    Another good vid, A-J. I have the Baretta Special - in candy blue... with the maple neck. It's pretty cool. I've been looking at those Focus's for a long time now. Just haven't picked one up yet. That one for sure is a mod-platform, and a tinkerer's dream. LOL I wish they made the Focus in a few other colors. Anyway - cool comparison vid. Both fun budget-friendly guitars.

      Thanks Jimmy Z! In my opinion , i'd take the Baretta "all day long".

      @@AJgeartalk It's a better guitar. I looked at 3 of the Focus models in G-C today while I was in there picking up some strings. They're cool - but super cheap. I hate the colors they come in too. But cool. Still.... the Baretta is also pretty cheap - but more solid, and definitely the better guitar. Much better pickup in it too, although you just get the one. But on these types of guitars... what more do you need, than a bridge pickup?

    I have a Baretta Special and I like it very much, especially the neck feel. The only tricky thing about it is the nut, how the strings are angled towards the tuners. That causes some issues in tuning stability. Might change to Floyd Rose style trem with a locking nut. Good review, keep on rocking!

      I had the same problems with tuning stability when using the trem. You should try to wind the strings on the 3-4 lightest string the other way so the angle becomes less. It solves the problem for me.

      @@geirygard730 Thanks for the tip, l´ll try it next time when I change strings. Makes sense perfectly!

      I'm pondering whether to buy the baretta special or the pacer classic, I'm leaning towards towards the pacer classic from what I've seen the classic s a brilliant guitar

      @@stevehalling816 I have Pacer Classic and for the money that it costs it is stolen guitar is worth much much more. I even compared my pacer with one Gibson Les Paul that costs nearly $2000 in the guitar store in the Sam Ash and Pacer was far better I couldn’t believe I was lost.

    First run had steel trem blocks last two I bought had pot metal blocks and now I'm beginning to have high fret issues. first run flawless fret jobs. get a GFS trem you only have to dremmel a bit of wood out like couple mm to fit it in focus.

    I have yet to hear anybody say a negative thing about the Barretta Special…it must really be a good guitar…I’m surprised they haven’t raised the price!!!!

    I don't think the baretta is a better guitar than the focus, all you have to do is change the pickups in the focus and you will have a great guitar.

    • @AJgeartalk
      @AJgeartalk  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was referring to the "stock" pickups. You can change the pickups in any guitar and make it a great guitar.

    The Focus, which I just bought, is a lot of guitar for the money - EXCEPT - the tuners are absolute crap, need to be replaced, and you will probably have to file the frets down so that they don’t stick out and possibly scrape your hands. Kudos to Kramer for trying to pack a lot of quality into a budget guitar, but I think most of us would gladly pay $50-$75 more to not have those two issues.

    baretta special all the way- the focus is just a cheap garbage guitar the Bareeta with some mods becomes a pretty good guitar neck is good frets are well done the "mahogany" is cheap qualoty on both though
