tbf you really have a point within just 8 months i started my journey with expert+ maps (i play ost maps since i wanna play mod beat saber when i get it on steam) and with osu!mania i started my hard level journey within a least a year or two
but idk about osu!standard, if you have a drawing tablet, it would be pretty easy to play osu!standard because i always played on mouse but left it YEARS without playing it losing rank until i decided to come back and somehow i managed to go for 4 stars level
