The beauty of living on an island is fantastic. I’m looking to move somewhere warmer, buy a small place and another to rent out as I have no private pension and need some kind of income. Even if I only buy a place I’m more than willing to work for an income. Don’t want much in life just freedom

Maximum i can take 100£ with me and that's if I'm lucky. Sometimes after bills i even don't have that much left for all month. If you are in the Balkans anyway, maybe check out Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Croatia and Hungary. I've lived in Serbia for 10 years so I know a little about the region. Where ever you settle the language will be a pig. Romanian and Hungarian are the easiest, but don't read that as easy, just easier than the others.
I'd only advise that it's pretty corrupt in Montenegro. Research it. Mid or east Europe is better, Poland Czech rep, Bulgaria.. They're more respectful, aware of Brits.

Define "the UK". I grew up in the 60's and 70's and to me that is my home and the UK I love. Life before the internet etc was so much simpler. The UK has changed so much since then.
I moved back to the uk. Free country, friendly honest people, great healthcare, beautiful scenery, never far from a beach. Best country to live in by far. Even the weather is improving.
Last time i went to the beach i had to spend 3 weeks trying to get a drs appointment to check me for aids cus a needle went thru my slider. All clean luckily but still.

I don't see many germans in Cyprus, most are british. Cyprus is so expensive, I don't understand why they come here. The infrastructure is bad. There are many roads especially sidewalks in bad condition. It's full of messy buildings ,cities are not impressive at all, it's so hot and dusty, they never clean the streets with water .I live in Deryneia there is a small field next to our building full of trash ,people from other areas come by car ,throw illegally their trash in our trash bin and when they are full ,the wind blows the rubbish on the field , they can't keep the island clean . There are also a lot of people who smoke cigarettes. People drive cars so much hardly someone walks or bikes and there are a lot of old cars which pollute the air which should be forbidden. I moved to Cyprus because my husband wanted ,I thought it is similiar to Spain but no. I would like to leave Europe one day and go to Southeast Asia especially Singapore or Thailand one day❤
I lived in SG for 2 years and escaped. It didn’t work for me at all. Apart from making loads of money I felt trapped in shopping malls! The weather is unbearable and your can’t swim with 400 boats parked in the area. Cyprus is ugly, dusty, Middle East kind of place and totally overpriced. But there are some good tax breaks (very individual situation), untouched nature in many parts and gorgeous beaches. I like it here. People are kind and not complicated. I do wonder how much longer I am prepared to pay rent of a penthouse but live in 1980s. Terrible housing here.

Parts of the UK are better than others. London has massively gone downhill in terms of crime rising cost of living, but it's still a beautiful inspiring city. Consider other cities like Cardiff, Liverpool and Manchester. The UK weather is very comfortable, not sure why people want to live in 25-30+ degree weather year round it's so uncomfortable.

Poland is very xenophobic to start with, and racist. And they don't really like gay people either. The salaries are low and if you're running your own business you need to pay high monthly fees every month (circa £300) whether you're making money from it or not. People will be jealous of your success, the government is crazy (I mean, even worse than in the UK), and the only positives are: lots of nice historical places to see, lots of nature, and no terrorists. But you'll need to learn Polish, most Poles struggle with foreign languages. And they only pay plumbers so well in the UK. In Poland every other guy knows the basics of DIY so it's not a very sought-after skill.
