  • This is a saga of trying to connect an external 6v battery, from my kids jeep, on my buddy heater fan. I discovered my motor had failed! I needed to make a princess auto run and got parts to make it work!

    What do you think of using the heat from the heater to drive a thermoelectric generator that can power the internal fan? This would be analogous to using a wood stove fan on top of the heater.

      Wow! I didn’t even think of that. I did a quick search on it and I should have tried that route for sure, it would have been around the same price to get the plate and motor. Thanks for your idea, it might have to be my next upgrade

      I'm currently using that exact thing, it works great. My big buddy heater doesn't have batteries or electric fan
