thank you for the video Thank you for showing us your error in having to swap over those connectors cause a couple of the connectors are larger then the other side. I appreciate seeing what you did. my water heater was spewing out a lot of really hot water from the pressure release valve component. Your video is great to help me figure how to fix that. Thank you so much! Now I can tackle this issue tomorrow. I'm a full timer RV'r and a newbie.
You are welcome, Kathy! I'm really not sure if I even fixed the problem. We used the RV once or twice last year. Your water must be really hot to be coming out of the pressure release valve. So, you're full-time RV'r! Very cool! Do you plan on uploading videos of your journey?
Thanks! You know I really need to check the temperature. I just used the RV for 10 days straight and after changing all the parts that I did it seemed like it made no difference in the temperature. It still seems like it will burn you.
No sorry, not yet. Very sad, but we haven't been out camping yet. It's actually still winterized. I'll try and get it out this coming week and see how hot the water gets. Thanks for checking in!
You are totally right! Just ran out of time. We only went RV'ing once this past year. I did notice that my repairs really didn't seem to change the water temperature
@@themintoshow I figured out why the old fixed temp thermostats don't work, its because of the calcium deposits inside the tank are acting as an insulator, so the temperature on the outside of the tank is cooler than the water temperature inside. No matter what you do you will never be able to get that corrected, except by replacing the electric with a Hott Rod stick in the drain plug, that has its own thermostat.
Mine looks the same. I changed the circuit board & now it's giving a lockout when I turn it on. Can't find a reset button or switch. Any ideas? It's not on the back eaither
Primary and secondary thermostats. Primary us 140° , way to hot. Secondary safety cutoff thermostat us 180°. I dont understand this at all and cant find less heat thermostats

Thank you for this video - we have the same system on our trailer. However, not sure how the temperature will lower by installing everything??????
Yeah, I think you're right!
The propane only models have the same thermostats. The thermal cut out doesn't control the water temperature.
Thanks for the info!
@@themintoshow it's for when there's a fire in that compartment. Do ask how I know that.
So did it work. Getting ready to do this repair myself and was wondering if it worked?
Honestly I don't it changed the temperature of the water at all. I really need to do another video and test the water on propane vs electric
Never mind I got it had to watch hole video appreciate it
You are very welcome!
Ok , nice video , And What would be the normal temperature coming out at the shower with propane heater ?
Thanks! You know I really need to check the temperature. I just used the RV for 10 days straight and after changing all the parts that I did it seemed like it made no difference in the temperature. It still seems like it will burn you.
Run a test? Water at a more accurate temp now? I've got a 2018 travel trailer with the same water heater and the same issue.

After changing the parts parts,, why not test it??,,, before you start your trip and find out then that its not working

Atwood kit service adjust control 93105 lets you adjust the temp with a screwdriver, about 45 bucks at home Depot or Amazon
Thank you so much!!!!!

Would you have a link for this control kit? I cannot find it.
So did it work?
Get all the way to the end of the video after listening to all your random talking and you say I think I fixed it hahaha good job bud great video lmao

I haven't changed my circuit board yet so I'm really not sure. Could it not be grounded?
Did this repair your heater? When I replaced these parts my water was still at 175 degrees.
I don't know if it will work?
I need to check out my repair this upcoming spring.
So not Multimetering anything to see what the problem actually is? Might just be bad continuity thermal fuse.
I'll be honest with you, I have no clue on how to use a multimeter.
One is 60 degrees celsius one is 82 degree Celsius idk which one goes on which side
60 degree is t stat 82 is eco.
So you screwed up but did you need to get another set of NEW thermostats or turn them around, NOT CLEAR
U didn’t tell use which one goes on which side
