(9:42) The Mattock is a semi-automatic assault rifle. It was great in ME2, but it's not as great in ME3. (11:00) You can't see enemy health bars when they are obscured by smoke. Also makes it hard to target them with powers. (14:35) Ideally you would have had the Paragon or Renegade points to keep both Miranda and Jack, but that ship has sailed for this run. (18:30) As an Engineer, your best strategy against a Cerberus mech is to use Overload to remove it's shield and follow up with Incinerate to destroy the armor.
(4:40) David Anderson is still on Earth, leading the ground forces resisting the Reaper invasion... like a BOSS . (5:55) I will say that I think the Viper sniper rifle would be a better long gun for you than the Vindicator assault rifle (or any assault rifle, really). You can get good punch from a heavy pistol and high rate of fire from a good submachinegun, and a sniper rifle will give you range. Those three should serve you well and still be light enough for very fast power recharge. (8:25) You don't have biotic powers, but Liara and Javik do, so you could use their powers to generate biotic explosions. You have access to Incinerate and Overload, which can generate tech explosions, and Garrus can help you when he's on your team. Power explosions are GREAT!
Tip: When you hear two NPCs talking to each other, it's not always just background noise for the sake of creating an atmosphere. Take time to stop and listen to their conversation. Sometimes it will generate a new side mission, or give you info that can help with a decision later on. Also, when they finish speaking, move on, but make sure you come back to them later. Very often they will continue their conversation. In some cases, you may have to return three or four times to hear the entire thing.
I also prefer Miranda over Jack but both are great characters. Jack simply shines more if you're romancing her (you have to play as male Shep to do that though). Miranda also shines but she's fine just as a companion too. Shields Pylons regenerate shields. If you stand next to them, they will regenerate your shields. If your enemies stand next to them, it will regenerate their shields. It is possible to kill the "drivers" of those heavy mechs, without destroying them. That's why they will sometimes stand empty/not moving in the battlefield. Anderson and Sanders are in somewhat platonic relationship. They both seem to be too focused on their career and responsibilities to work it out but it's clear that they feel something to each other. A small trivia about Joker: to get the spot on the Normandy, he stole it, took it for a joyride, evaded fire from the Alliance vessels, and only then turned himself in, claiming that he was born to fly this ship. Anderson, who was the new commander of the ship was so impressed, that he took him in.
Great video, hope you stay healthy! No need to apologize for favoring one character over another, we all have preferences 😄 In ME2, need high Paragon or Renegade, but can shut down Miranda/Jack fight without choosing sides, but in a first playthrough, not always easily done. I have some sympathy for Jack, kidnapped as an infant, raised in a Cerberus facility to unhesitatingly kill Cerberus enemies (tortured when she hesitated, rewarded when didn’t). As a result, she’s both antisocial and borderline psychotic, making her a hard character to like. Despite her flaws she is known as humanity’s most powerful biotic, so having her on the Alliance’s side is really a positive boon- and something that would not have happened without your Commander Shepherd’s intervention. 👍 That said, I like Jack as a companion, her bloodlust is on a par with Grunt’s, and her shockwave cuts through husks like a they were made of tissue😄. But Miranda is a more likable character-intelligent, sociable, has a certain elegance- and her powers are more versatile, with both Overload and Warp and her companion boost of health and fighting is invaluable, so in ME2 she is usually at my side.
Harrier is an amazing choice for an assault rifle because with upgrades, it does a ton of damage. Also for snipers, people love the Black Widow because it just tears through stuff but my choice is the Mantis because you can upgrade it till X and fill the damage meter.
Hey hope you feel better soon. 8:30 there are lots of combos that you can use the one on the datapad you found was 1st cast singularity then 2nd cast warp.Try to cast warp before the singularity wears of. Try on unshielded enemies and see what happens its fun and addictive.Liara is the best squad member for that combo or you if you chose to be an adept. But you can do tech combos as an engineer as well. I can give more info about combos if you want but it's more satisfying to find them by your self and i don't want to take that from you.
Jack's okay, if understandably a bit abrasive with people. She mellows a little over time. In case you need to take some time away to pamper yourself back to 100%, get well soon, Lucille.❤ We'll all still be here, I'm sure.
My wife and I take the herb "Echinacea" as soon as we start feeling like we are coming down sick. It might be some kind of placebo effect that helps keep me from getting sick, but I very rarely actually become ill if I start taking this herb soon as I start feeling anything. Either it works or it's my brain thinking it works but either way, it might be something that might work for you in the future. Aside from that, I am always excited when you post videos, so thank you for providing my favorite entertainment.
ive heard that that herb boosts ur immunity!! so Its probably really good for you! but sadly here idk where I would get it😭 I usually get some ice cream if its my like really first day of sickness, sometimes it prevents it! but this time I think I got something stronger bc so far nothing helped 😭😭 Also thank you for your kind words!! It makes me so freaking happy to hear that someone likes my videos!🤍
(0:15) Javik and Liara together can definitely produce some biotic explosions. (0:40) I get that keeping a schedule is good for your TH-cam channel and views, but don't feel like you owe us an in-depth explanation. Don't forget to stand up, stretch, and drink some water between missions. 😉 (1:10) You can still access the Squad screen during a mission to assign ability points. (1:25) Small plot problem for me, here. If the Cerberus forces haven't detected the Normandy, you must be running in stealth mode. If you're in stealth mode, how does Kahlee Sanders know you're here? (2:20) I have to say... after the battle that the Normandy won on the far side of the Omega-4 relay against Oculus drones and the Collector ship, one Cerberus cruiser and a half dozen fighters don't seem like that much of a challenge. Also: it seems that your discomfort is a side effect of cat paralysis, a condition that strikes us all without warning.
yeah they are cool!!😃 thank you so much! But still I feel like I dont want to disappoint anyone even if it is only one person so I really try to publish consistently 🤍 I workout every other day! its really helping me!! my pain is barely affecting me ,but if I get the flu ill have to stop working out for few days😭
Hope you're feeling better. Something to be aware of with engineer hacking, you can hack Cerberus turrets and make them attack the Cerberus troops, just strip away the shields first.
Interesting bit of continuity here. If you took somebody that would've been on your roster of squadmates in ME2 (EDI probably counts because David did try to hack the Normandy), one of them would've said "He's looking much better now" in response to seeing David at Grissom Academy. Because Javik was sleeping and Liara would've either been busy on Illium or being the Shadow Broker in ME2, neither one would've seen David, so you don't get that line from either of them. It would've been neat if they gave that line to Shepard instead in that situation... instead, you don't get the line at all (unless you cut it from the video of course)? It's not a big deal obviously, it's a pretty small throwaway line, but it's neat that they thought about stuff like that when writing the script for ME3 if it wasn't just you cutting it out in editing. I suppose Liara could've said it being the Shadow Broker... she seems to know everything.
That ink must have taken time. And hurt. 1992. How strange. That was the year I went to serve in the BiH. The year of declaration of independence, and international recognition of BiH. Was someone important to you born that year? For some reason I always found Cerberus the hardest to fight - the shields, the engineers and their turrets and those mechs. I suppose my build of Shep didn't work well with them. Never much liked Jack, sadly. Never really could relate to the character, she was always a weird nudist with anger issues to me. You remember when you liberated her from the prison in ME2? The guards and inmates describing her as extremely dangerous, and remember how she just destroyed everything in her path in the cutscenes breaking out? I always wondered why she never at any point was even remotely that powerful as a companion. I suppose there was a vacuum after Liara and Kaidan in ME2 and powerful biotics were needed. But there was Miranda and Samara, so. Never quite wrapped my head around the purpouse of Jack.
my "owl" tattoo was much more painful because of the shading and stuff, but this one is date of my brothers birth (he died in 2008) I was 9yo then and he was 15 So for my 17th birthday my mom allowed me to get that tattoo🤍 Omg my dad is Bosnian! Yeah I really dont like Jack too,she is like the person that I would avoid in real life😂
@@LucilleGirlGamer I’m sorry for your loss and really sad about persons taken away so young. Lost one of my sisters (they were twins) when she was 12 (I was 7). Loss is familiar - it is a good thing your family deals maturely with it (mom allowing the tattoo), in my family we deal with trauma by never mentioning it. Not very helpful. Well in my original family. In my present family - me and my daughter - we talk. Better strategy for mental health. Jack and Zaeed were both hard for me to stomach. They both need therapy and are not fit for combat duty in their mental state. I tended to never bring them along. Wether playing a rogue Shep or a Boyscout Shep I still didn’t like the idea of a loose cannon behind my back. Maybe he just reminds me of some of the guys. But I am also entertained by his conversations with Cortez, which one can overhear. There is some sort of game going on there. There is a lot of toxic masculinity about James, but I also see a lot of humanity and the more helpful traits of masculinity. He is also very amusing in the Shore Leave DLC. James is a bit bland as a character at times and the developers put him in there to aid new players, who had not played ME1 or ME2. James ask the same questions as a new player would and is supposed to help out understanding what’s going on. For a player who has played ME1 and 2 this becomes superflous and boring. I agree he is a little bit like Jacob, in that he contributes very little drama or suspension, no added complexity, and both of them are actually junior officers in the marines. But I find James less boring, he does no trauma bragging, has no loyalty mission, he is loyal no ifs or buts. Playing Shep I usually needed James as a ”tank” on missions, drawing fire nd taking bullets for me, so I have heard most his lines. And, I suppose, got used to and felt comfortable having him around. I do see your point tho. He’s just another guy and not a very interesting, deep or unusual one at that.
