One thing I noticed during the Kickoff is in The Bloodline family tree. if you look at The Rocks name is says "High Chief." and you look at Romans name, it doesn't have Tribal Chief on it.
The Rock is a genuine High Chief, given to him as a title by the King of Samoa back in 2004. Compared to Roman, who is only Tribal Chief in kayfabe.

People hate the situations like this one precisely because the management thinks that their fan base is to stupid and gullible, so why bother to write good stories when making as simple a thing as making Cody just hand the Rock what he wants is, in their opinion, is good enough. This also illustrates how Endeavor, who grabbed all the power in the company after ousting Vince, are actually incompetent in this business. They believed the Rock that his appearance in the main event will somehow be better for business, and, when people called them out for their BS, went all panic mode. And then they sure ran to HHH for him to save their asses, and they ultimately tasked the creative to come up with whatever believable explanation they can invent in such a short time. And this is what we have now.

Maui was a man made fire. The people there have been denied permits to rebuild their homes and have been shuffled from hotel to hotel. Many have been unable to make mortgage payments which will result in land seizure. The whole Maui thing is a dark situation, and the Rock asking the everyday person for money is not a good look. Although the people weren't chanting Maui, it's just one other thing that has made the Rock easy to hate lately

I hate the fact that Rock confirmed he's turned heel. It's obvious to anyone in the know that's what's going on but if the marks want to get riled up, let them. The funniest part is the smarks are getting fired up which really shows you how good the Rock is at his job. A lot of us are aware the Rock has taken up a position on the TKO board. Smarks have jumped the gun and got angry thinking he has used his position to insert himself in the main event as an ego boost but in reality he's just taking heat away from the Vince situation. This is awesome mulit layered story telling on the part of WWE, Cody finishing his story, who's the real head of the table, the bloodline story expanding, corporate/authority figure vs underdog, Seth siding with Cody, Rock and Roman aligning, even the underlying decades long Rock and HHH beef is creeping to the surface again. There's so many avenues available for this story to venture down let's just hope they don't bomb it like they did with the invasion angle in 2001, which in my opinion was the last truly epic storyline they had. Rock is truly a master of his craft. Wrestling hasn't garnered this much genuine intrigue for a very, very long time
