    Abby Ray Vlogz: So I purchased this tonneau cover and installed it last night. Grateful to you guys for posting this video, it made it so much easier. Not intended to hijack your install, but I would recommend pre-threading the side bed rail torx bolts "from hell", before attempting to install them on the rail. You guys were correct that they would take the longest time of the whole install. Using the supplied torx wrench in such a confined space, put me in touch with God :)

    Another suggestion. The rear holes are full of paint. Grease up the torx bolts and run them in and out. When you begin to tighten them in the confined space they will start and tighten without so much difficulty!

    Excellant video to watch before and during install. Only thing I would recommend is to change the 4 torx bolts, 2 on each side where you cut out the rectangles, for hex head. Will make your install a lot easier.

    Ok video, other than you didn't follow key component of the instructions. I see their is an earlier comment about the Rivnut which you called a bushing - the advise that user gave you was also wrong. There is a very specific instruction page about installing RivNut. A RivNut needs to be compressed by pulling using a special tool. If people do follow your instructions either the Rivnut will not be compressed at all or it will be compress via twisting which can damage the Rivnut, or damage the bed or it can also compromise the safety of the installation and per the instructions will clearly void the product warranty.

    I just bought this cover for my 2022 Gladiator. You have two Rivnuts that need to be compressed. I bought a rivnut kit at Harbor Freight, $50.00, cheaper on Amazon but did not want to wait. Rivnuts are like a pop rivet but are threaded on the inside for the front mounting bolts. Never saw one before but they work well!

    i have heard this one leaks inside the truck from a few people.

    • @abbyrayvlogz
      @abbyrayvlogz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It only leaks if the seals are not properly set. Mine does leak because I have my bed rack that causes the seals not to sit properly. This is honestly the only cover I have and never tried anything else. Im not sure what cover leaks or not. Our goal is to have a cover that is compatible with a bed rack. It does provide great protection of whats inside the bed it just leaks when it rains. The leaks are only on the side anyways and not in the middle.

      @SeanOzz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@abbyrayvlogz thanks. I think I am going to pass on the Mopar because if it leaks and then freezes at night that will create some issues. That and it looks like removing and making room for a dirt bike is not quick or easy to do. Thanks again for your answer.

    I tried to install mine yesterday but not sure what I did wrong the tailgate seems to be hitting the end of the rail and wont shut completely. Also, how the heck did you get the Voodoo rails with this tonneau cover to fit? Ahhh I am having the hardest time making it fit. You guys made it look so easy

    • @abbyrayvlogz
      @abbyrayvlogz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Im sorry you are having trouble. The rail is probably not pushed all the way back to the front of the bed or not screwed in all the way. Or you mean the cover is preventing it from closing all the way? We had issue with tailgate not closing because of the cover being pulled back more than it should be. There are 2 screws that are in the front of the bed that you can lossen and push the cover towards the front until the cover lip is about 1 inch overlapping the tailgate. Thats is where you want it and makes sure the rubbers are sealing it. The voodoo crossbars were actually easier to install than the cover itself. We actually took out voodoo bars out and are upgrading yo another bars. Stay tune fo that video. We are just waiting for it to arrive!

    • @alymanzo5312
      @alymanzo5312 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@abbyrayvlogz my issue with the vodoo bars is that it seams the bars (brackets) push the cover trails a tidbit in and reduces the distance from each side of the bed and when I go in to put the Mopar cover on it won’t sit on the trails by a tid bit off. Did you have this issue?
      The tail gate issue has to do with the Mopar tonneau rail sticking a bit out near the tailgate I will go back and check on screws at front o the bed but seems they were all the way in. 😩

    Great video! Though, not great cover! I would advise anyone considering getting one to avoid if you expect security. After the install (which as others listed was hell with the threading). I was heartbroken to realize that by just pushing the cover from side to side, you could easily stick your hand in and pop it open. Took me less than a minute to just pop it open. It's not rigid enough, and gives to much once installed. Easy to say it, and move it away from the latches enough to pop open. Feel badly ripped off.
