Apart from the fact that Rebecca Pidgeon is a wonderful actor, I must confess that I could look at her exquisite face all day long. I wish she'd get many, many more roles in movies. Undoubtedly, her performance in "The Winslow Boy" is a calling card that requires no further proof of her acting talent.
I fucking love her face too.
Love Rebecca Pidgeon in this movie!
Thank you for your contribution.
David Mamet is a great writer and director. He knows what he’s doing and he knows what people want to see these days and he’s good at entertaining. God bless him. Can’t believe he’s married to Rebecca pidgeon and she’s very lovely and beautiful. They’re both good together.
Rebecca is a very underated actress and lovely woman...Dave Mamet is a very lucky man..!
Thanks for posting these!
I loved the way that the two leads" played their roles in this version. The build up of their connection, especially the end, which added a little to the Play?
She is a great actress.
It's an hilarious movie. I haven't laughed so hard in years. It is also a lapidary, well-wroght film, when looked at from most every angle. The melodrama centers around the patriarch choosing to jeoprodize his reputation in society by standing up for his child and family name, instead of accepting that injustice was served to his son by the system. The melodrama is self--aware. Very relatable but funny.
8:54 Rose asked Rebecca Pidgeon this question but David Mamet knows exactly what i"Mamet-ian" means, similar to the famous expression "Mamet-speak". en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Mamet#'Mamet_speak' It means clipped, intelligent, layered dialogue that sounds artificial. Ricky James spoke this way in The Spanish Prisoner as well (as did Pidgeon) so he's well aware, and I suspect Pidgeon is too, that it's not just attributing an actor's delivery to her relationship to her husband.
Next, maybe he could turn that great British play 'London Wall,' into a movie, that is a great play.
Gorgeous
I like that she says "golly" in real life like she did to Joe in Spanish Prisoner.
My troika was pursued by wolves.
@@theexpresidents huh?
Did you buy it in Paris?@@theexpresidents
Can't believe she's a singer song writer either, she's a legend in her own mind.
Elegant woman.
