    To haters' comments. Here is man who plays guitar, has made millions of people around the world happy with his songs, has got to be very rich along the way, and has done a lot of charity when he is super rich. Yet there are sore losers out there whose lives are so miserable that they can't be happy for other decent human being like him.

      he s an idiot servant and you re defending him with idle arguments ... "at the end of the video eric said kinda "if you stay here one hour you ll see people other than those who shop everyday in an ordinary store" with that cocky smile ..well there is no harm to be a capitalist and a an aristocrat and play the blues .but dont comme and tell me i agree with his way of seeing things..some poeple like ellen desgeneres, dicaprio, clapton .. live literally on another planet..house of 30 million dollars, boats of 10 million dollars, dont have contact with the ordinary people, the mass etc ... just a pure fact

      oullah takane bghik awili hbiba diali, You sound a bit jealous my friend, as well as looking to find something in EC comments and smile. You even missed what he was saying about the kind of people who shop at the store! He said it was more for esentric taste, and not for the high end stuffy shoppers. The man has had an extremely interesting life, and has accomplished more than 99 % of society, while overcoming a lot of demons. He is not perfect, no one is, but give credit where it's due. Not easy to become the most revered and influential guitarist of his generation and setting the bar so high that few will ever reach or surpass it is not easy in any field.

    In reply to StratBlues (manually, because YT is as buggy as a Chinese christmas roast):
    I think by what he actually meant was not a certain class of people, but more the uncommon eccentrics that you don't meet in your everyday shop. I mean think about it. How many ordinary people- rich or poor- visit a fancy suit shop to buy a traditional country tweed jacket that makes them look like their from fifty years back- by all modern mainstream standards? Most think it silly, but ah, to the clever individual who knows exactly what he wants and wants something out of the ordinary. Something he can't get most places, it's like a blessing in the sky.
    Personally, I can't wait to visit a store like this once I get back to England. I have lots of ideas and I'll take myself a lot of time browsing and rummaging round' these niceties.

    Some things if you can afford them are worth every penny. The clothes are a bit pricey but not extortionate. Compare to some of the crap made by named brands that are made in Asia, these are top draw British clothes. I have a hat from Cordingtons and love it

    well, there is a difference between being political and living your life the way you want. Clapton is not like Ted Nugent (for example), who butts into every controversial political debates.
    So, my point is that Clapton lives his own life, unlike Uncle Ted.

      I take it you're a vegetarian, in which case all the fields they grow those veg in makes sure they kill all the mice, frogs, snakes, insects and anything else that might eat their vast fields of veg. Vegetarian types simply haven't a clue how food is produced. As for shooting birds, they do it to eat them. If you eat meat then you're just paying someone else to kill them for you. Life is not cute and cuddly and these birds live in a constant state fear anyway. I once saw a sparrowhawk swoop right over my shoulder and pounce on a blackbird right in front of me, 5ft away at most then it just flew off with it in its claws no doubt to be ripped up and fed to a nest of chicks. Its called nature, and we are a part of it. To just shoot things for sheer bloody mindedness no I don't agree with. But living a free life in the wild then dying a fast death you know nothing about for a pheasant has got to beat being pounced on by an eagle or fox etc.

    Am I missing something here MrStratblues? Eric likes a particular style of clothing therefore he's turned his back on his roots and his respect for the working classes? I'd quite like an Aston Martin but being working class I can't afford one but if I won the lottery...no wait, I couldn't buy one because I'd be turning my back on my roots and the working classes!

    • @Darrenski
      @Darrenski 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As I see it, the whole point of working is to live the life we want. We all have likes and dislikes and I guess these are just Eric's. Of course I detect the sarcasm, but im working class as well like 90% of us, even the pretentious ones who think they're middle class (apparently that means something totally different in the states) and I've worked all my life to try and afford things I like and to provide decent stuff for my family. Anyone who says winning the lottery wouldn't change them is lying, and if they didn't want their life to change they wouldn't buy a lottery ticket. As I see it he just has old school taste, like me. Can't beat a real barbour jacket, even though they're expensive. I'd rather pay the wages of ppl working in the North East than waste my money on cheap knocked up chinese crap. But each to his own.

You could be scoffing at some billionaire and he would walk out without spending 10,000. He shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Terrible. Didn't like him before and even less now.
