    I have this same car, same year, trim, colour etc. Whilst economical you'll never get the mpg quoted. It is such a great car.

      @@ndzalamamathebula2104 overall I get around 36mpg, but most of my driving is around town. The car excels on the motorway where it'll happily idle at 1500 rpm at 70mph. I dont have specific mpg for the motorway but it'll be somewhere between 40 and 50mpg.

    Best review of the XF I've seen thanks. But you're the first to recommend the 2.2ld over the 3.0l. What's the real life mileage like?

      @KKTR3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is what someone told me
      2.2, avoid the 3.0 (chocolate engines), and the 2.0 in the later ones are horrendous. The 2.2 is the DW12, the 2.2 version of the 2.0 DW10 thats in the black mondeo. Only thing to watch on XFs is windscreens leak, any steamed windows etc walk away, the electrics under the seats cop for the water that comes in and corrode the connections on the ECUs, other than that they are really good cars. Cambelts are 72k or 5 years.

    I had a 03 Jaguar S Type, one of the best cars I've ever had, I loved it up to 15 years old and 157K miles. Then I bought my 2012 XF Supercharged v8 Portfolio Edition. I hate this car, I've spent thousands of dollars on repairs. $1,400 fuel pump, $1,300 water pump, $2000 + computer, $300 trunk latch, now Im told I need new motor and transmission mounts at just only 82K miles on the car. I cant wait to get rid of this damned thing! Jaguar are like Oldsmobiles, Mercury's and Saturn's. Cars of the past, now they build Tata's in Jag Drag!

      @@BarrieCrampton Thanks Barrie. I agree Range Rovers are extremely comfortable Ive been in a few and Bentleys look plush but I've never been in one. However, both these are not reasonably practicable to own for us mere working class. I went to test drive a Premium Luxury just yesterday actually 2.2, nice car and the ride was fine, but as for the seats I found them extremely uncomfortable in the full leather. We took my wife's 15 years old Renault Megane 2 on a three hour run to test drive the jag, and I still say the meganes seats were by far more comfortable than the jags, obviously it can't quite compete travelling on a motorway but the meganes seats are still a far more comfortable place to sit on long distance.
