- Charles racing down Mt Lemmon for the first time after an exhausting climb. Im with 2 Carmichael coaches, Richard, Pat and Andre. Gopro camera mounted under the handlebars. WATCH: 14:48 , chain come off the gears, my pedal unclips I put a foot down and sparks fly at 80kmh. Pat gave up after that. The real fun begins at 15:50 when we start playing around with motorcycles.
You guys have some serious balls of steel. Amazing descent.
Wow! Great video. Awesome riding skill. Even faster than motorcycle on certain turns.
Thanks!
Excellent, one of the most enjoyable cyc videos around.
Great ride and amazing view! Cheers :-)
Great vid guys! Enjoyed every minute of it. I ride an ICE recumbent trike, and love to go fast, but I really don't have the huevos to go that fast! Well done.
It got caught between the frame and the smallest gear, but i managed to shift it back up into the gears and everything was fine. Close call... Thanks for the comment, it was a blast!
I WANT TO BE THERE NOOOOOOOWWWWW! What an amazing fun you guys have....
Very cool! Beats what we have here for sure.
Can't do this crazy stuff anymore. Thanks for the cheap thrill . It was great !
Watched it on the big screen !
The "desend"videos are much better when you have a whole group of riders, all riding at the same time, [LIKE THIS ONE],congrats,on this video,...
Excellent!! One of the best descent vids I've found.
I wish I had this place in my city... congrats boys nice ride!!
My father is 62 and climbed all the way up, we can see him in the descent! Dont give up!!!
It is funny to look your thumb wiglin around :D Loved every second though
Nice Nice Video..Love that speed
The "BEST"DOWN-HILL DESCEND VIDEO I'VE EVER SEEN,SO FAR,.....LOL!!!
That thumb is ready to take on the world
GReat quality video and awesome ride.
thanks! it was a lot of fun!
i live in tucson and no way would i try that.... thanks for the video. it was great.
+Barzell Bell do it!!!
The Palo Verde trees were in bloom (yellow) so it wouldn't have been May. It had to have been late March into April. :) (Native Tucsonan here. :)
I'll get there one day, that descent is crazy awesome!
I was passed by Tom Danielson the other day going up!
I love this climb. Glad to live nearby it!
WATCH 'EM!-WATCH 'EM BOY,-WATCH 'EM!!! [FEEL THE INTENSITY!]........
Love the video. Gotta get those cars and motos out of the way! Back when I did that ride we didn't have GoPros - wished I had one. The biggest problem was not having enough teeth on the front ring to go really fast. 55 MPH was the goal on the last hill at the bottom.
yeah, a 55-11 setup would be better. I think I had a 53-12 in that video...
wow that's such a great descent
a descent from 8,000 feet elevation to 2,400.
Nice! you sure are lucky! Maybe you'll pass me there one day!
it was lots of fun! cant wait to go back
what do you mean your chain came off your gears? you were coasting the rest of the way afterwords? Awesome video. My palms were sweating just in the epicness of the descent.
very nice!!
did this yesterday. just made it to 7000 ft. not bad for first time and being 61 and not in good condition. at least I tried
i love it superb. and you should say I NEED FOR SPEED lol.
Lol we'll see if I get in decent shape enough to do that. I'm just getting into cycling for real finally, putting on lots of miles with varied types of workouts. After I get a decent base I'll probably join the UA cycling team, since I'm a student here.
Too bad it's all wet up there today, or I'd be there. My bike is old, coming with freewheels and likewise doesn't have machined sidewalls on its rims, so wet road descending is kind of out of the question for me personally.
wwoooow... amazing
I think I would have been there with my gear bicycle to ride in ur country because in India there is no such beautiful roads and lots of population on street,I love ur USA
viva Quebec!!!
thanks!
great raid ... I want taid with your team please ...
What was the total distance covered in both videos?
Average descent speed?
Approx 25miles total. Speed was 45mph with peaks at 55mph
Incredible!
Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Wow le reve je trippe juste a descendre le Mont-Royal a MTL je capoterais a descendre ca : P
wow!!!
The best thing is:NOBODY CRASHED!
you have to trust the engineers!
SWEET,......
부럽다. 우리나라에도 저런길이 있으면 참 좋을텐데 :D
I will do some downhills next summer. What should I take in consideration regarding the bike? Brakes, rims, gears.. please can someone tell me? I mean it will be a hot summer day, going at 70 100 km/h (I think).
Did you guys do this ride in the spring time or summertime?? I think I would die in the Arizona summer heat...
I think it was in May
It was spring, thank god
Nice, beautiful ride!
wow.......
How fast where you going and how long is it to the bottom
If you had read the comments, they answered someone else that it was about 25 miles and that they were going 45-55mph.
about 105kmh
Easy , no switchbacks basically riding down a super highway.
where jojo left his home for some california grass
What's you're all time top speed?
holy crap this is scary as fuck
Amazing descent, but even thoug your speed is over 100km/h it is pretty safe if you know what are you doing. For example this is much, much more dangerous; watch?v=aK-fjnZMbnU
foolish the motor cycle !!
