@@filmismorefun i was hesitant to rewind my film (first timer here) because i thought it’s gonna be a problem if the leader(?) is gone inside the canister. i thought we have to leave some behind just like we bought it the first place so it’ll be easy for the developer person to work on it. but seeing you rewinding up until it’s gone, i feel at ease hehe thanks 😬👉👈
Really helpful video! I have a Minolta Srt 201 and have been having problems getting the rewind bottom back out. I pushed it in to take film out and once I was ready for another roll it stayed pushed in and hasn’t came back out. Do you have any suggestions, I’m thinking of taking the bottom off myself.
Hi there! Taking the bottom off and using rubbing alcohol may help remove any gunk that's built up in the opening that's keeping the button from moving freely (if that is the cause). It can't hurt to look, though! Good luck. 🙂
@@filmismorefun so I did that and figured out it was the metal underneath the bottom that was keeping it from going up. It still stayed stuck there but I can push it back up after taking the bottom off so do you think I should still test it? Or does that cause a big problem with the operating of this camera.
Hi, I saw this video & it inspired me to buy one used for $3. I’m not sure it works. Do you need to load film before the shuttle button & zoom etc work? The battery icon blinks on the icy screen on the side of the camera?
Hi there. It really depends on the type of camera you purchased. If it is a fully mechanical SLR then it will work without batteries or film. If it is an automatic point and shoot then the electronics may lock out some controls, but if it has batteries should will work without film. For $3 it is also possible that you've purchased a broken camera. I would suggest searching online for the manual and reading it to see how it should operate and then you can test it. I hope that helps. 🙂
