Bella esecuzione! Esiste un video del concerto in S. Lorenzo?
Bwv 49 [16:08]
Gracias!
These are 3 excellent cantatas, and I think much of it is beautifully done, esp soprano Kožená (as everybody always says) and also bass Harvey; listen to them in the "love duet" at 27:40 (and beyond... 36:16, ah). I also love how the alto Mingardo sounds low in her range. Robert Levin did a great job in the 3rd movement of 162 - the flute and oboe are not in Bach's score but scholars could tell that 1 or 2 accompanying "solists" are missing -- Levin wrote those parts and they sound perfect.
to hear superb tenor singing, check out Kurt Equiluz at th-cam.com/video/VYHiET4VSO0/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for your comment, which helps to like even more the wonderful music of J. S. Bach.

Thank you for you comment! Yes, I can hear some similarities too... It's probably a coincidence (Hammerstein knew and studied Bach, but it's unlikely he knew this cantata).
