  • Upon winning the 1991 Illinois High School Association Class AA Basketball State Championship, Proviso East alumni, Michael Finley traveled to the Deerfield Multiplex in Deerfield, IL, to face the Chicago Bulls' Micheal Jordan in a game of H.O.R.S.E and a 1 on 1 game to three.
Hosted by former Chicago Bear receiver, Johnny Morris, watch Michael Finley test his skills against one of the best of all time, if not the G.O.A.T.!

I remember Finley in high school. They had a big three. Finley, Donnie Boyce and Sherrell Ford. They beat Mr. Basketball Howard Nathan in the state final. Finley was legit, a good young player. So was Nathan. Finley went to Wisconsin and they should've been better but another Chicago kid, Rashard Griffith, couldn't stay in shape. Ditto Griffiths King teammate Tommy Hamilton. Speaking of... back then, the other hot Center prospect in the nation was a kid named Rasheed Wallace.

It’s really nothing special. Any pro, or even college athlete can shoot comfortably with their left hand. With that amount of training you should be comfortable enough with both hands that you can just switch the mechanics to your other side. I myself can probably make 4/10 from three left handed. I use to play Yogi Ferrell(Indiana alum and current NBA player) sometimes in high school and he would still be one of the best shooters on the court with his left. I remember one day His right wrist was bruised, he had fell on it playing at the same court the day before, he came back the next day and resorted to shooting left handed and he was still lethal and would hit at least 1 three pointer per pickup game.

No its hard to shoot from your left hand especially from distance and he's form just shows you how great he is on it.

King Hughzy yea like I said, if you aren’t a well practiced basketball player it’s going to be hard but if you are it’s very easy. There’s high schoolers who can shoot well with their left. There’s D3 guys I’ve seen with my own eyes hit like 10-15 straight with their left. If you’ve been playing basketball long enough there’s no reason your offhand shouldn’t be strong, maybe not as strong as your dominant hand but still strong. Basically I’m saying you don’t need to be MJ to do this there’s so many ball players who can.
