  • In this episode we explore Pointe au Baril in Georgian Bay, Canada onboard our R25 Ranger Tug.This body of water is the world's largest freshwater cruising destination of the world . We entertain ourselves during numerous hours of rain, Michael catches us some fresh Bass which we share with new friends that we met at our anchorage. It is wonderful to have an instant connection with people who own the same boat as you do.

    Jewel, you made my day!!!! You're such a cool mom. My kids are always embarrassed with their 60 yr. cool mom that dances anywhere, pickle baller, roller skates, deep sea fish, e-bike, etc. I'm living my best life. Now, I can tell my kids, "See Jewel is living her best life as well"

      All I have to say is .. “you go girl!!!!” They will realize later how incredibly cool you are . You sound like my kind of lady. Modelling for them what makes you happy and being your own authentic self is the best. Thanks for sending me such a wonderful message!

    I am so happy to have found your channel! The quality of video production and the very personal (low-key) nature of your content is much appreciated by my wife and me. We've been boating here in the PNW for over 25 years, with summer-long trips through the Inside Passage and Southeast Alaska. Watching your videos makes me want to downsize from our diesel trawler to something sporty and fun like the RT! Btw, like Mike, I was a documentary filmmaker producing for PBS and Discovery Networks before retiring from that career. Keep up the good work!!

      We are happy you are enjoying our videos. We plan to explore your side of the country in the future. It sounds like you would have some great advice for us after 25 years of exploring! We appreciate your kind words about the video production as we are very new at the post production

    An excellent video! Loved that you showed the activities of a rainy day. You did some cruising in so choppy waters....caught some fish and ended it with a good fish dinner.

      Thank you T Mac we appreciate your kind words . We thought that water was choppy until we recently crossed the Gulf Stream to the Bahamas…stay tuned…

    Another fantastic video, thank you so much for making them. As in previous comments, I appreciate greatly you sharing your live aboard life and sharing it with everyone. It keeps me going through our winter here in Czech Republic, eagerly awaiting the time when I can also get back on the water. I love seeing such a nice boat, which is not something that I am ever likely to get here, so the insight is always interesting.

    Great videos! Love your channel. We’re looking at upgrading our boat and keep coming back to the Ranger Tugs. Your vids are giving us a great look at how life on an R25 goes. Did you guys buy the NW or the luxury edition? Is the portable gen how you make hot water for washing while you’re out on the hook? Oh, and being cooped up in a small pilot house in the rain… dancing is necessary for maintaining sanity. 🤪❤️

      Hello Urjunk, we bought the luxury edition . We found it necessary to get the air conditioning. We use a small propane cook stove to boil water for dishes and tea. We don't feel the need for hot showers. The generator is used to top up the battery especially when we are doing work on the boat using Starlink for internet. We find that drains the battery extremely fast. Good luck on the purchase. We are very happy with our R25, and that you are enjoying the videos. Thanks for your support on the channel!

    I love your videos although I'm insanely jealous. I only live a mile from the sea on England's South coast but have mostly lost my sight so rarely get out on the water these days. Your videos are the next best thing and I love your little tug/trawler yacht. Keep up the great work.

    2 brave souls in a tiny boat.
    You guys don't have your home port marina?

    • @expeditionseanest
      @expeditionseanest  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Our R25 sits on a trailer. So a marina is not needed. We are enjoying the Bahama's right now. Today we are surrounded by sea turtles eating the grass of the sea floor. Video soon the come.

    Really enjoying your video series, actually began with some of your later videos but have gone back to the beginning. As a fellow adventure boater in the UK can I ask do you always travel at displacement speed or is this just while videoing? Your boar is a planning hull, do you find it much more economical at hull speed?

      Hi Gary, Many times we just run at 6 knots because we are pulling the dingy.
      Other times it's too rough to run on plane. there is definitely a fuel savings as well.

      Glad you enjoyed it. We did not film the inside as we felt like it was a bit intrusive of the guests. Perhaps if we go again we can manage an extended tour.
