If the people vote for a NDP government they deserve everything that they get.

Anybody voting for the NDP needs to give their head a shake. If you think Notley was bad get a load of Nenshi and watch your taxes skyrocket They love spending other peoples money.

Don't understand why anyone would vote for this putzz.. All you have to do is look at what he did to Calgary.. The water problem actually fell under his watch.

Nenshi is Singh v2.0 in the eyes of most Albertan voters, and it will guaranteed stay that way.

I don't understand this headline. If my comment is not censored, can someone explain why the NDP would be ahead of UCP after Nenshi was elected? He is a terrible politician, look at his record as mayor

When you watch the interview Dawson explains how polls indicate that the UCP still lead the NDP by 14 points even after Nenshi, who won by a landslide, became party leader in Alberta. Many political experts thought the gap would tighten which wasn’t the case.

In Edmonton I suspect younger voters lean towards UCP along with a general 'It's time for a change' mentality. Danielle is easy to understand, and she has a solid understanding of provincial jurisdiction. She's a protectionist and a strong leader. She listens and adapts to peoples needs. Even if I don't agree with everything she says, she will act in Alberta's best interests and will not tolerate federal overreach. She will do the best job at supporting our economy.
Our world has progressed ALOT in the past 15 years or so. Isn't it time for a stabilization period, and a conservative approach to change? We have everything we need, we just need to chill for a bit, get our house in order, and be free to do what we do best.

Look at the spending notlley did it was awful, Nenshi is 5 x worse than her because that guy is a narcissist and he’s all about leaving a legacy. We had him in Calgary and it was horrible. Look at the water main break he was told to have it checked and left it the money went to art and bridges taxes up to 50 % over his term I don’t know how he got elected for 3 terms because nobody likes him here.gave himself a raise he was the highest paid Marion Canada now the new Calgary mayor is higher pay than the premier of Alberta, which makes no sense , who carries the heavy load here so if he gets in, he’s going to make sure that he is paid higher than the Calgary mayor,

If smith doenst keep her promises she may have a harder time next election. I voted for her but she needs to step it up. No corporate welfare for one and lower our taxes as promised.

Who on gods green earth would want to be part of the cover up coalition? Right now as it stands a vote for Nenshi is a vote for Singh. As far as separating from the federal Dippers it really begs the question will Singh allow such a move? It would be my guess that the federal arm of the NDP writes & controls the rules & regulations of the party.

Nenshi, Gondek....two spend-happy, tone deaf individuals who failed their constituents by putting their own vanity projects ahead of basic responsibilities like infrastructure, not art or 4 million dollar "monikers" for the city. Whether it was Alberta or currently B.C., Toronto, wherever the ndp are, higher taxes and discord follow. Nenshi, Gondek cant distance themselves from the ndp/liberal arrogance & entitlement.
