    Springville, lovely city and wonderful people! Lived in for about a year as foreign student. Very cold during winter though, and sure greenhouse is the only option to see diverse produces such as yours. Good work!

    Our greenhouse from greenhouse in the snow is almost finished. It has taken almost two years to build ourselves. Last year it was so wet that set us back and then issues the company really doesn't tell you about and have no answers for were a struggle. Not as easy of a build as we are led to believe. You have helped with your videos and are greatly appreciated. Hopefully we will be in ours by November....and hopefully the geothermal part works as it should.

    How did the greenhouse do keeping cool in the hot summer? Is there a reason you aren’t doing heat loving veggies like peppers/tomatoes/ect? How does it get pollinated?

      We stay well below the outside temperatures during Summer. Mid 80's to low 90's were my high's depending on location. I keep the veggies outside. For pollination, we open the vents during spring to allow the bee's to come in. We also have a couple of bee houses and buy bee's in the spring to help. They usually leave but we get lots of bee's from outside.

    If you don't know what to grow in some of the beds, just plant some basil plants... (think pesto, or tomato salad, etc.) Sells quickly as well, I would think
    Another idea be to plant mini lemons, mini oranges. Forgot the name of them.

    Thanks for sharing the current state of the greenhouse. The trees look great. How do you feel the ventilation worked this summer?

      working well! The summers get better every year. Mostly because the trees are bigger providing more shade/cover

    this is amazing, I'm in Lindon and this is exactly what I'm wanting to do. Any tips on how to research doing this?

      I watched a bunch of TH-cam vidoes. Ultimately just went for it. Learned a lot along the way.

    Can you please share the climate control software you have on your phone to monitor the greenhouse temperature? Does it work well? Is it worth the investment? You mentioned it once but I have gone through all the videos with no luck. Thanks.

      I have a 5 in 1 weather station from accurite.com. I have a wifi hot spot in the greenhouse (I think $5 per month). So I have a weather station outside the Greenhouse and 4 monitors inside. I can monitor the Greenhouse from anywhere. Temperature, moisture, humidity, etc. I really like it since I live 30 minutes from the Greenhouse.

    What made you decide to go with Koi rather than a "harvestable" breed of fish?

    • @trailbreakfarms
      @trailbreakfarms  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I like Koi. They are colorful and social and hang around the viewing window. I may do harvestable fish at some point but am enjoying the Koi for now.

      @@trailbreakfarms Thanks! I had just watched an earlier video of yours that mentioned trout. I just wondered what changed your mind.

      @@hishers4535 The Rainbow Trout are real jumpers and not very social so I keep them in a Pond outside the GH. Still my favorite fish!

      @@trailbreakfarms oh... that makes sense! Thanks! We are putting in a greenhouse now and hope to add some harvestable fish. What made you choose trout? Did you watch your water temperature for a year to find your highs and lows? (I'm trying to figure out how we will decide the best fish breeds to add)

    • @trailbreakfarms
      @trailbreakfarms  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@hishers4535 yes I monitored water temperature. was a bit warm for trout but the rainbow trout has always been my favorite. I don't recommend them in a small greenhouse pond.
