Sounds like he's advocating for 13 year olds to be taken away from their clubs and put in county academies, for county boards to not worry too much about the club championships, and for millions to be invested in the county set-up's. That doesn't sit well with me.
Lot of valid points made here by Mr. Gogglebox but the delivery comes across as a bit arrogant / rich coming from a fella who was substitute goalkeeper for the majority of his career and who’s performance in the 2018 final cost Galway another All Ireland.
Limerick got 3 of the softest goals I've ever seen in one all Ireland...Galway should have won that, if they weren't so tired and lethargic...they only started playing in the last 15 minutes....
I don't know much about Galway GAA or Galway Hurling but to me it sounds like the will and the leaders are there in the county if they are listened to. Sounds like James Skehill could be one of those leaders. I wish there was greater turnover or term limits for administration personnel in County, Provincial and National GAA roles.
Fair play to you james for your honest opinion it is past time for those who are destroying galway hurling namely top table move away and let galway hurling prosper don't destroy galway hurling
Given Galways talent pool and given that they have only 1 all Ireland in modern era shows that there is a missing link. Gifted players need brilliant leaders. People like O'Donoghue are hard to find. They should do everything to get him onboard.
Could listen to James talk Hurling all day, Brilliant!
Fair play to him, he told the truth, finally someone spills all the dirt of what our county board is like,
We all know that they're a shower of gangsters
This was one of the most honest interviews I heard no fence sitting at all
Why would he sit on the fence? He's a retired inter county player. He wants to make a name for himself.
3 people that disliked this video must be on the board
Brilliant stuff James. Love it

We need more Skehill

And that means he's not entitled to his opinion??
His talent as a player has absolutely zero to with his points raised here. Doesnt make those points addressed here any less valid.

There is. There is a 5 year limit on all offices. This applies at all levels of Gaa for volunteers. Getting volunteers is the problem.

Skehill is Gold!
Left a couple behind, you can go into double figures.Skehill should be on an evolutionary advisory role in galway.
Skehill, great but they should ask him about more than Galway situation, great hurling brain.. I reckon he misses nothing
Galway need somebody like Brian cody in charge he would ruffle a few feathers
And look it was Waterford or you would not have got the 1
