This speech is an example of the Gaeltacht natives preserving the Irish language so passionately which is hugely admirable. Long may it continue

Enjoy the speech everyone whether you fully understand what he's saying or not. This isn't the place for boasting or arguing about irish/Gaelic etc.

That's how a speech should be, pay tribute to your manager and an injured player and what an honour it is to bring the cup home to the county.
Never mind thanking the statistician, the mindfulness coach, and whatever else

He's speaking Irish. Everybody who know what they're talking about call that language "Irish". In English, "Gaelic" refers to Scottish Gaelic. Muna gcreideann tú mé, cuir ceist ar dhuine ar bith a bhfuil Gaeilg aige...

@@cuhulainsblood “Citizens of Kerry and friends alike. I am joyful that this privilege has fallen to me, of bringing Sam back to the kingdom, and back to an ghaeltacht! I’m happy that this privilege has fallen to me, so I am the one to bring it back to an ghaeltacht, to corca Dhuibhne, to my home. I have a rare chance that I’m very thankful of, and I’m very thankful also for, I don’t have to postpone his name, Mick Dwyer! I don’t think if we look in any sport that we will find a manager as good as mick o dwyer. And I want to say my thanks for tommy Doyle, who plays for west Kerry, and I hope that this trophy will come to Tommy Doyle next year! Thank you all so much”

Sorry but you don't know what you're talking about. He is speaking in, what is correctly called, Irish (or Gaeilge in Irish language) which belongs to a branch of languages called Gaelic. Saying that he is speaking Gaelic is the equivalent of saying that English people speak Germanic.
