actually the reason why she evolved as a different Oni is because if you remember in s2, when she was getting resurrected, there were not enough magicules and Noir (at the time not yet named Diablo) offered the demon underlings with him as sacrifices to compensate for the magicules that had dissipated and Raphael agreed and used the demons, hence Shion is no longer a pure ogre/kijin from that point and was part demonic.

Its why she can break swords so easily, why she can turn Edmaris and the other 2 into flesh soup and keep them alive while not allowing healing magic to work. Because if she turns them into flesh soup and says that thats their normal state, they cant heal. They arent injured. Being flesh soup is their normal state according to Shion. Its one of the most overpowered skills in Tensura. And she uses it to make her food taste the way she wants it to taste.
This actually isn't filler. I'm glad they are putting this in, so far this season has been very close to the novel. In the novel it implies Hinata took her time on the way because she wanted to judge for herself Rimuru's intent by seeing his actions in his nation. Which reflects in the episode. So far it seems slow, with the meetings and such but this part of the story is lore dropping and world building for a reason. The future of this season and others is gonna be insane.
Slime has been dialogue full because they're following the light novel very closely. This season will adapt two arcs, and they are not that big, that's probably the reason why they've been so faithful to the source material. Especially when the material for next season is FIRE, and they probably don't want to tap that in this season!!
Btw when Hinata says the Oni should be considered Special A, it's also referred to as Calamity class which is the ranking Charybdis was given. It means alone they are a threat that a small nation would have a lot of trouble dealing with. Benimaru could probably without much trouble invade and destroy Blumund alone.

I understand the frustation which happen to take place in many minds, but i can agree, that the world building + story explanation was mandatory to understand what is currently going on. I also believe, that they could have done a better job with the pacing of the episodes and how they were telling the story in the past episodes, but just as you i enjoyed ever second of it. My guess would be that Hinata has so many questions including why so many of her own people were there that she'll try talking instead of fighting. I could be wrong and probably am but that seems the way the story is headed. I just don't see Slime taking on the worn superhero trope of hero taking on hero due to pre-conceived notions.
Hinatas Reaction to the happy family has to do with her onw backstory .... still hopping the anime touches on it ... but does not seem likely now, so if interested can write it into the comment. As for her Anger at the camp site .... The amount of manpower, effort, time, resources to implement and build an infrastructure, in this world makes things like that prohibitively difficult ... so much that most otherworlders are forced to give up on large scale implementation ... and have to be happy with implementing small scale changes ... not to mention they often lack the encyclopaedical knowledge and understanding to reproduce things This is because majority of the things above in this world is spent on survival and protection from monsters and such. So its only settlements and areas that are rich enough to have excess resources that can afford to invest into things like that ... that is why it is mostly concentrated in capitals and other big cities .... But Rimuru is pulling all of this off like its nothing ... he can turn a human life hostile place like the Jura Forest to the point its like taking a pleasant afternoon stroll in a few months and transform a small rural backwater like Blumund into a prosperous town rivaling the greatest city in the west Englasias capital .... And at the same time he has the capacity to perfectly recreate dishes from their old world .... Something Hinata and many others had to give up completely on ... Make sense why its irritates her ...
Do people not say "served as" in the UK...? It's definitely not the same as "was served as"... it's used to refer to having a rank in an organization. Usually military or police, but it could be a religious hierarchy as well.
You keep forgetting through different isekai shows... We have people from Japan in these worlds... getting modern weapons is one of the staples of the advantages of these characters when they come to the "retrograde" worlds... Same for the robots and mecas in overlord...

I think this season get's more hate than it deserves, people kinda got into a spiral because of the slow pace and it became really negative for no reason. It mainly comes from people who already read the manga and/or LN so they can't fathom that learning new info can be entertaining since for them there is nothing new
The pacing this season is actually quite fast. I expected volume seven to end on episode eight. Yet in episode seven we already got introduced to the beginning of volume eight. They rushed the pacing and skipped a lot of info

There is no winning here, sometimes too fast paced sometimes too slow paced. I actually really enjoyed it but I don't criticise if some people didn't. IMO, I think they just fear that it happens like S1 where they miscalculate and they throw a lot of context at the start of next season
I think it was a really good decision not to hastily assume that they were enemies of God when the information was still lacking. If they had done so, those using the highway would have questioned the Western Saint's Church's policies, and since the majority of the merchants using the highway built by Tempest are legitimate merchants from the Kingdom of Brumund, a powerful intelligence nation that has a mutual security treaty with Tempest, Brumund's dissatisfaction with the Western Saint's Church would have spread to other countries, and the reputation of the Western Saint's Church and Ruberios, which had been built up over more than a thousand years, would have plummeted in an instant. Not only that, Tempest also has diplomatic relations with the armed nation of Dwargon and the Sorcerer Dynasty of Sarion, and the entirety of the Great Jura Forest is officially recognized by the Demon Lords as Rimuru's territory, so the Western Saint's Church's invasion of Tempest would have been an extremely dangerous situation for Ruberios.

Slime Diaries is must watch for more of the peaceful life in Rimurus kingdom. Lots of Milim hanging out and some lore we dont get in the main anime.

My guess would be that Hinata has so many questions including why so many of her own people were there that she'll try talking instead of fighting. I could be wrong and probably am but that seems the way the story is headed. I just don't see Slime taking on the worn superhero trope of hero taking on hero due to pre-conceived notions.

The amount of manpower, effort, time, resources to implement and build an infrastructure, in this world makes things like that prohibitively difficult ... so much that most otherworlders are forced to give up on large scale implementation ... and have to be happy with implementing small scale changes ... not to mention they often lack the encyclopaedical knowledge and understanding to reproduce things
This is because majority of the things above in this world is spent on survival and protection from monsters and such.
So its only settlements and areas that are rich enough to have excess resources that can afford to invest into things like that ... that is why it is mostly concentrated in capitals and other big cities ....
But Rimuru is pulling all of this off like its nothing ... he can turn a human life hostile place like the Jura Forest to the point its like taking a pleasant afternoon stroll in a few months and transform a small rural backwater like Blumund into a prosperous town rivaling the greatest city in the west Englasias capital ....
And at the same time he has the capacity to perfectly recreate dishes from their old world ....
Something Hinata and many others had to give up completely on ...

You keep forgetting through different isekai shows... We have people from Japan in these worlds... getting modern weapons is one of the staples of the advantages of these characters when they come to the "retrograde" worlds... Same for the robots and mecas in overlord...

I think this season get's more hate than it deserves, people kinda got into a spiral because of the slow pace and it became really negative for no reason. It mainly comes from people who already read the manga and/or LN so they can't fathom that learning new info can be entertaining since for them there is nothing new
The pacing this season is actually quite fast. I expected volume seven to end on episode eight. Yet in episode seven we already got introduced to the beginning of volume eight. They rushed the pacing and skipped a lot of info
@@jerbylumbang1777 I think you're confusing the volumes, we're still well within volume 7, there is at least 3 maybe up to 5 more episodes within Volume 7. Volume 8 is the start of preparation for the festival
There is no winning here, sometimes too fast paced sometimes too slow paced. I actually really enjoyed it but I don't criticise if some people didn't. IMO, I think they just fear that it happens like S1 where they miscalculate and they throw a lot of context at the start of next season
