I saw a guy use a polisher on the windows in a detail vid. The regular window wash was good, but after he polished the windows they were 🥰. Cheers, great vid and car!

My SLK 280 is Silver and I love this color for how it ties in all the chrome +wheels as they are the same seen here. (She looks like a Silver bullet.) I am saving your vid to remind me of how to do a great detail on this style car. I've had my '06 for about a month and have only restored the headlights while things keep failing! My top is 'stuck-up' lol and a rear shock has gone out. (Don't even talk to me about that janky lower [between seats] stowage area, frustrating junk!) For a recent purchase, it's got me a bit down, but I'm fighting to keep her and my warranty will cover it all. (I'm dying to give her some hands on caressing with her sexy silky-smooth lines. I'll probably have to take a cold shower first!) 😊 YOU GOT ME FIRED UP!!
I absolutely loved doing this car and I still frequently talk to the owner. I got the opportunity to drive it a few times, and let me tell you, what a car! Definitely a FUN driver's car. He recently put on some meaty R888R Tires too for grip, and the man drives the heck out of it.
@@jimnunya1253 I also have a silver 06 280. I recommend, if you haven't already, getting the facelift antenna and getting some clear side markers with the chrome dipped amber bulbs.

I also added a nice CB antenna because I use that shit! 😋 My friend was like WTF is that and I took the thing off and then my friend says "WTF why'd you take it off? That antenna gave you car some character." People think it's a Cannonball Run thing and I do drive it that way though! Clear chrome dipped amber side marker lights.

I haven't noticed a drop in reception with the new antenna, but I mostly listen to satellite radio anyway. The facelift antenna just looks so much better IMHO. But, if you put a cb antenna on, it probably matches the original antenna better. I bet that does get some looks driving around.
Was it shampoo you sprayed on to do your clay work? How do you like the clay pad? I like the idea of using the foam cannon as you do, I’m gonna give it a go.
@@ccdetailing Although soap works well as a lubricant to clay, be careful on softer paint as the soap + clay combo can cause marring. Benz have hard paint usually so no problem but other cars not so much. Awesome job, car came alive!

Ur p&s brake buster is awfully watery in your foam cannon. Should be foaming up super thick man even diluted 50/50. Can tell u have a similar set up to obsessed garage going on haha. Also, get yourself some black nitrile gloves man. These harsh car washing Chemicals will eat away at your hands and skin in no time.

Watching him do the wheels practically without soap or suds was not satisfying. It's like spraying water on the wheels and scrubbing with a brush. That purple power is weak!
@@jdmkidk24 I use P&S brake buster diluted 50/50 in my IK foam pump sprayer and it comes out like the stay puff marshmallow man blew up right in front of my wheel. Stuff is truly amazing.

Agreed, I tried a dilution of brake buster to find out that stinks. I just use full power now. About 2-3 secs spraying per wheel covers it perfectly
