I have now infinite rocket launcher and Ashley with knight costume. No skipping for me. It's their turn to be scared. Edit: since people are asking: you buy the infinite rocket launcher for 2m after beating the game at any difficulty.
Yeah I've beaten it 5 times already and I'm on to the 6th. Just like the OG, it feels infinitely repayable. Hopefully separate ways has a few more bonus weapons to play with as well
Its funny looking and really goofy but its more risky backing away. You can visualise that backing away, due to his width the chainsaw would get him quicker.
@@RileyJ3866 you can place mines on the ground where he spawns in phase 1 and load the rest onto the back wood beam, they'll still be there if you're quick enough for his 2nd phase and hell trigger the damage
You do not need a nade to break the padlock in Farm, you can get an angle and hit it with your pistol. Also after picking up the cog, just go up the ladder and straight to the lever, saves you having to run past enemies.
tbh that skip isn't even necessary unless you're optimizing a true world record speedrun. You can just duck under the tripwire bomb, go up the ladder, drop down to get the Flagon, grab the cog, and run right past the boar Ganado once he breaks open the door, and lure them to the tripwire. By the time you vault down next to the wayshrine area, they should still be a bit behind when you make it for the bridge and you get i-frames while pushing the wagon. Super simple, takes only a few seconds more and doesn't risk you getting hit by the pitchfork abuelita.
@@lovelyiceken Yeah it works like a charm everytime. Try out Chapter 1 and just run past everything you're not going to get hit. The boar head isn't fast enough to catch you after breaking open the door even on Professional.

For those that don’t know, when you acquire the golden egg, you can actually use it on Salazar and it’ll make him vulnerable and you can light him up with mag rounds and finish him quick.
just a few things you didn't mention Chapter 1 - The village skip can only be done in NG+, and the farm door lock can be shot and doesn't need a grenade. Chapter 6 - I've seen people say the Mendez skip has been patched, though I'm not 100% sure as others have said they did it but when I tried I couldn't do it Chapter 8 - again you do not need a grenade for the first counter weight as you can shoot it through the wall with some precision Chapter 9 - on assisted and standard the solution is 11:04, on hardcore and professional its 7:00 Chapter 9 - this can also be done with a few bolt thrower mines, a grenade, or a flashbang Chapter 12 - A rocket launcher also works Chapter 14 - it's specifically 2 heave grenades or 3 normal grenades for the wall to be 1 shot Chapter 15 - I believe it's the same as the wrecking ball wall, 2 heavy 3 normal
Great video! Just some additions 1. For the farm area shortcut you also can just shoot the lock through the window or even through the door without wasting a grenade. Same with the sun/moon puzzle. 2. Ashley section skip if you're playing on professional it's 7:00 for some reason while the other difficulties it's 11:04. 3. You also missed one, on the small island skip, you can lure the Brute into the lasers at the end to be a meat shield, and you can run past while he's being shot.
Chapter 7 Skip also works if you throw a Flash Grenade into the area the enemy spawns from (Aim for the area while moving towards it, it'll switch to the cutscene where they go for the lever, then get stunned by the flash, then you can pick them off with Broken Butterfly or a stronger weapon)
Jesus it’s amazing the amount of detail, Easter eggs and skips went into this remake. The developers pulled no shortcuts here. This remake was made with a lot of love.
Confirming chapter 9 gallery lever room skip works with a common flash grenade. I didn’t have crossbow or launcher so tested what I had available. Inch up until you see the flash grenade will land near the lever. Throw grenade and instantly trigger cutscene. You’ll see the flash go off just before cutscene but the Zealot is stunned. Enjoy!

There's an easier Mendez skip. To the right of the merchant there's a little corner right in front of the table. Face away from the wall, crouch, move backwards, and open the shop twice. If done properly you'll be through the wall, and can move up the mountain a bit to walk past. If you can't interact with the shop fast enough, it's probably because Leon is aiming down the sight, so unequip your weapon. If you're clipping behind the merchant's table, you're facing too far left
This video really helped me beat s+ on professional, thank you so much. I thought it would be near impossible due to playing on console when it comes to aiming but I managed to get it in 04:54 so thank you
Normally you follow the wooden bridge to the merchant and some boxes, this shaves off a few seconds rather than several minutes like many of the others.

If you’re going for a professional run most likely you’re going for that S+ Rank and all these (Minus the ch1 skip) will save you like 30 minutes. A considerable amount in my opinion, not to mention all the ammo conservation.
@@originsmaster8140 I did this skip by mistake because i heard "11:04 on the clock" somewhere online, then when i got back up my entire save was done for since i couldn't use the lamp to get the keys to the elevator, and i couldn't open the only other door out without going through the elevator.
Flashing the Sisters and knifing them both also works; not QUITE as fast but only a few seconds slower. That Salazar statue skip is handy though had no idea that was there
@@Pedroramossss depends on two things: 1. If you have the fully upgraded Sg09 or sentinel equipped 2. Iluminados charm This makes you God tier in melee. Knifing minibosses no problem.
Another "skip": at the small island starting area, you can bait the JJ into the red light of the sentry at the door he spawns, let him take the shots and walk past him to skip the sentry turning minigame
I did it before, but now he doesn’t take the bait. He either stays put and lights me up, or he jumps down and runs around to the other side. I think they might’ve patched it today.
There’s AT LEAST one more. In chapter 14 if you have the pig headed guy run into the auto turrets you can use his body to block the bullets and move past the first section of the map without having to reposition the turrets at all
4:39 a hand grenade works just as fine. Aim the grenade and walk until it shows that you can throw it on the spot, throw, then run forward to trigger the cutscene asap.
It can't...be stressed enough. Bolt Thrower damage cheese only works on Standard or lower. First off leveling up the Bolt Thrower doesn't matter. Damage doesn't affect the explosive damage from the bolts.
6:25 Is actually chapter 13, and another skip here is running up the stairs to the main door until the boar headed guy comes out and getting him to attack you so the machine gun targets him and you can run past the gunfire. Also at 7:15 chapter 15 you can take out the turret with 1 heavy grenade you just have to get a little closer with a better throw
MGS3 is loaded with that kind of thing, like how a later boss is vulnerable very briefly after a cutscene and can be sniped/killed, skipping that fight entirely.
@@wizoo2241 golden egg drops from chickens like any other egg, but they're pretty rare. And yes you can throw it on his monster body to make him vulnerable so you can unload on him
@@wizoo2241 you can get two by one in chapter 4 when you can freely roam the lake there’s a small area on right side of the map that’s full of chickens there’s one that you can pick. Second one is chapter 12 I think before you fight Salazar return to his throne area where you fall down the pits and use the cubicle puzzle to unlock a second golden egg.
Village skip is new game plus only and Mendez skip requires auto save. Which professional mode doesn’t have. Neither will help for S+ on that difficulty.
@@_maliciousIntent after the first time I bumped the bags it was, but no matter how many times I tried to kick the boxes under the second one, I could never do so without the bag opening, so I tried shooting em and it worked perfect.
That's just how that bit is supposed to work but worth mentioning, the bags that wiggle have them, you can also see them with the scope if you want to super quickly check before you run through
At 4:00 it's actually possible to save a grenade there and use yoir handgun, even though you can't see it directly. My guess is the hitbox is peeking just slightly so you can shoot it ( you need to shoot as close to the wall as possible)
You can skip the Mendez fight the same way for the bella sisters by placing mine bolts on the ground where he lands and the ceiling he grabs onto before triggering his fight you can glitch through the elevator door in Chapter 14 too
There are more skips in the game. You can kill Salazar with a golden egg and a few shots or just 2 golden eggs. You can cheese Mendez with bolt thrower mines just like Bella sisters. You can skip the laser turrets by getting grabbed right into them or luring an enemy into their area. Also I would count dumping the two giants into the lava pit as a skip. I'm probably missing some skips
I love how almost all of these are legit/rewards for understanding the game layout and spawn locations, and then there’s just the good old Mendez clipping through the map part lol.
The time you have to set the clock-door to is not always the same. At the chainsaw sisters level you dont need to use a grenade to open the door. Just walk up the stairs and jump down from above then you can open the door.
The only difference between the times is between Assisted/Standard and Hardcore/Professional. I've played the game 5 times on different difficulties and the times were always the same in their respective difficulties
you can use the scope - door lever trick on the gate that’s next to the wrecking ball to skip both the garbage area and wrecking ball section. the scope glitch works on any locked door with the “unlocking a slide bar” animation, and can be used to skip a shit ton in this game.
@@nahref99 By setting camera sensitivity to maxed and aim the floor while facing back from gate (double door that need animation to open slowly), then spin the camera fast (unscoping) while pressing F to interact with the door slide. Its only work on PC version but not on PS5 because they cant turn the camera fast enough to trigger this glitch. However, Capcom knows about this glitch and they decided to patch on next week to prevent this abuse happened again. Just dont bother doing it, try to find another strat for saving time faster like making faster line and route to minimize time to wander around.
Not sure if this was mentioned but it's important to clear that on Professional the Clock section with Ashley has a different solution than Standard. On Prof the time is 7.00 and standard is 11.04

I randomly guessed the correct time and had no clue you were supposed to do other things in the Ashley section first and was so confused on my first playthrough
You can also kill Salazar with golden eggs (throw them at the core. Twice in Hard Core.) Normal eggs does less damage but still brings slazar down for Knife action sequence.
That was explained in requests about Salazar Defamation by throwing eggs to his picture. He have extreme weakness to eggs and by hitting with it, he taking so much damage that can killed him really fast. This is the reference of Krauser with Knives and Mendez with Flame Grenades in OG version, they just make alternative version of it and most of us still dont know about Salazar weakness to eggs.
That cannon shortcut is such a troll from Capcom. Literally placed the answer next to us without us knowing before the start of the rooftop sequence. 😂
@@jacobcook7967 The upper elevator door needs a key but this can be skipped by inputting the correct clock time and just taking the bottom elevator doorway. Leon can go through this section without a key similarly, except Ashley already input the code so he can still go downstairs to that doorway.
for the chainsaw twins, you can shoot through gaps in the fence for that first gate you don't need to spend a nade on it, laser sight helps to know where the hitboxes are
4:35 for this skip (ch 9 lever room) instead of wasting a rocket launcher you can use a bolt with an attached mine instead shoot it on the wall behind the lever and right as the zealot comes through they will instantly explode which will allow you to pass through without all that ruckus
be careful with the chapter 15 one on professional you still have to go and takeout the enemies manning the guns up top the pilot does not take them out and no autosave to rambo run to the next section and auto save skip it.
That little hole next to the machine is a shortcut technically. I actually just passed this part in my Speedrun and I didn't know I went all the way around

4:35 For all the Remake players, (this was a commonly used trick in Resident Evil 4 2005.) you don’t have to use a Rocket. You can use the trusty ol’ grenade or flash. Either will stun the Cultist, preventing the lever from being pulled. 😁
They definitely are, there's also the Striker shotgun charm you can get from the shooting range that increases movement speed, referencing the Ditman glitch that speedrunners use. If you can get it from the first range it's definitely worth the 5 minutes if going for s+.
Notes: - Village skip is only possible in NG+ with the use of a rifle - I wouldn't call the twins skip a 'skip', it's more like a cheese... - Mendez fight skip isn't possible on Professional, which disables auto-saves
on ramon’s fight if you throw a golden egg at him it will take 70% of his life and will leave him vulnerable, making him pretty easy to kill + there’s a golsen egg on the room with the quest to throw an egg at a picture of him
I assume this video was made with all platforms in mind since that skip doesn't work on console. It'll probably also be patched out eventually unlike all the skips in this video.
@@zMaat pc only, back to the door and aim down sights to the ground, your character gets closer to the door this way, and while you un-ads turn around manually with your mouse and just spam f, you need to move your mouse REALLY fast, and once you get it, its REALLY consistent, like first try every time i do it now
@@zMaat There´s an easier glitch that still works after the newest update. 1. set Camera speed and fov to max. 2. crouch then look all the way down with ur camera then from the top of the stairs in Chapter 14 take 5 steps back while having ur back turned. Then turn around and spam F. If done correctly Leon will glitch to the other side of the door. Wolker4 made a Video showing this Glitch and I was surprised that it still works. It probably works on other doors too. But I´ve only tried it on Chapter 14.
If you're on PC you can skip the wrecking ball part all together by turning your aiming sensitivity to the max, putting your back to the double doors at the start of that area, looking down at your feet while aiming down with a scoped weapon and then quickly flick your mouse to the right while spamming the interact button and Leon will clip through the door, letting you proceed to the elevator without having to do the wrecking ball section.
I forgot what chapter but after exiting the village chief's house for the first time, if you kill the villager outside the cave, he doesn't warn the others and the dogs won't spawn but the tower still explodes sadly.
Yo I noticed that on my second NG+ and I was like man I remember 4 fucking dog s showing up in this scene but then I remember I killed the fucker, I also noticed it doesn’t let you kill him in NG run, like if they actually want you to experience the dogs fight
There's a missed one, right before the cabin fight when you join up with Luis and hide Ashley. You can B line the entire farm sections simply by running with Ashley towards the cabin where Luis is in, with tight formation until the cut scene shows.
Village Farm and Castle wall skip can be done with a pistol. There is a small spot but they are possible. On hardcore mode I was able to use a Heavy Grenade and Regular Grenade to take down the turret. There is also a skip for the Chainsaw sisters using all modes except Professional where you can grab the handle without issue. They also have Ramon very weak to a golden egg, so I'd save it over using it on the questline. 2 take him down without issue, one and a knife attack almost bottom his health out. Just some updates at this time.
Ramon was weak against egg because he was explained on request about defamation on his looks. By throwing the egg, he is very disgust with it and thus reducing his HP significantly like Mendez with Flame Grenade and Krauser with Knives on OG version.
If you're doing an S+ run you can sell the golden egg from the village for the sub mission for spinels to get a ticket for the infinite chicago sweeper at the start of the castle. You can get another golden egg at salazar's throne room inside a cube-locked shelf and use that on the boss instead.
@@Jared0811Gaming I meant an S+, no bonus weapon run. Might as well knock both out at the same time. You can sell the egg whenever for the quest to count.

I remember being so scared of chainsaw guys because of seeing my dad fight them in the original, so when i got to the sisters, i was so scared that used a flashbang and a bunch of grenades and they were dead🤑
Don't know if it has been said already, but you can't do that ashley skip, or to be clear, you can, but it breaks the game. I know it from experience. You have to go get the keys from upstairs and you have to use them to go up the elevator that breaks and makes you have to climb out of it. Again, from my own experience. If you do the skip from the video, you will lose the lantern in the lanterns puzzle, so you will get the salazar emblem but you will not be able to get to the room where you need to use it, since you should've gotten the keys and used the elevator first. Basically you get locked out of continuing the game and will need to restart the part with ashley. Sorry, but from what I know, the Ashley part needs to played in full.
Just be clear, had the video of chapter 9 skip continued, ashley would get the emblem downstairs but would not be able to get to the room where you need to use it, because she didn't get the keys and at this point you can't get them anymore.

It's either 7:00 or 11:04, there are two times as I got different times in hardcore, pro, and even standard.

Frag grenade works too you just have to make sure it goes where the explosion reaches around the corner

Normally you follow the wooden bridge to the merchant and some boxes, this shaves off a few seconds rather than several minutes like many of the others.

If you’re going for a professional run most likely you’re going for that S+ Rank and all these (Minus the ch1 skip) will save you like 30 minutes. A considerable amount in my opinion, not to mention all the ammo conservation.
@@originsmaster8140 I did this skip by mistake because i heard "11:04 on the clock" somewhere online, then when i got back up my entire save was done for since i couldn't use the lamp to get the keys to the elevator, and i couldn't open the only other door out without going through the elevator.
Flashing the Sisters and knifing them both also works; not QUITE as fast but only a few seconds slower. That Salazar statue skip is handy though had no idea that was there
I discovered the weak spot on the Salazar statue my first run, but only after I got burned a few times 😭

2. Iluminados charm
This makes you God tier in melee. Knifing minibosses no problem.

For the second skip, you don't need the granade. You can shoot the lock from the other window, the one next to the chest.
There’s AT LEAST one more. In chapter 14 if you have the pig headed guy run into the auto turrets you can use his body to block the bullets and move past the first section of the map without having to reposition the turrets at all
You can also make the Novistadore lunge into you and the stagger animation will push you just past the laser turret's aim.
Can also throw a grenade behind the ganado infront of the door and hopefully it’ll blast him into the turret.
4:39 a hand grenade works just as fine. Aim the grenade and walk until it shows that you can throw it on the spot, throw, then run forward to trigger the cutscene asap.

It can't...be stressed enough. Bolt Thrower damage cheese only works on Standard or lower. First off leveling up the Bolt Thrower doesn't matter. Damage doesn't affect the explosive damage from the bolts.

6:25 Is actually chapter 13, and another skip here is running up the stairs to the main door until the boar headed guy comes out and getting him to attack you so the machine gun targets him and you can run past the gunfire. Also at 7:15 chapter 15 you can take out the turret with 1 heavy grenade you just have to get a little closer with a better throw

MGS3 is loaded with that kind of thing, like how a later boss is vulnerable very briefly after a cutscene and can be sniped/killed, skipping that fight entirely.

@@wizoo2241 golden egg drops from chickens like any other egg, but they're pretty rare. And yes you can throw it on his monster body to make him vulnerable so you can unload on him

@@wizoo2241 you can get two by one in chapter 4 when you can freely roam the lake there’s a small area on right side of the map that’s full of chickens there’s one that you can pick. Second one is chapter 12 I think before you fight Salazar return to his throne area where you fall down the pits and use the cubicle puzzle to unlock a second golden egg.

Village skip is new game plus only and Mendez skip requires auto save. Which professional mode doesn’t have. Neither will help for S+ on that difficulty.

@@_maliciousIntent after the first time I bumped the bags it was, but no matter how many times I tried to kick the boxes under the second one, I could never do so without the bag opening, so I tried shooting em and it worked perfect.
That's just how that bit is supposed to work but worth mentioning, the bags that wiggle have them, you can also see them with the scope if you want to super quickly check before you run through

At 4:00 it's actually possible to save a grenade there and use yoir handgun, even though you can't see it directly. My guess is the hitbox is peeking just slightly so you can shoot it ( you need to shoot as close to the wall as possible)
You can skip the Mendez fight the same way for the bella sisters by placing mine bolts on the ground where he lands and the ceiling he grabs onto before triggering his fight
you can glitch through the elevator door in Chapter 14 too
There are more skips in the game.
You can kill Salazar with a golden egg and a few shots or just 2 golden eggs.
You can cheese Mendez with bolt thrower mines just like Bella sisters.
You can skip the laser turrets by getting grabbed right into them or luring an enemy into their area.
Also I would count dumping the two giants into the lava pit as a skip.

I love how almost all of these are legit/rewards for understanding the game layout and spawn locations, and then there’s just the good old Mendez clipping through the map part lol.
The time you have to set the clock-door to is not always the same. At the chainsaw sisters level you dont need to use a grenade to open the door. Just walk up the stairs and jump down from above then you can open the door.
The only difference between the times is between Assisted/Standard and Hardcore/Professional. I've played the game 5 times on different difficulties and the times were always the same in their respective difficulties

you can use the scope - door lever trick on the gate that’s next to the wrecking ball to skip both the garbage area and wrecking ball section. the scope glitch works on any locked door with the “unlocking a slide bar” animation, and can be used to skip a shit ton in this game.

@@nahref99 By setting camera sensitivity to maxed and aim the floor while facing back from gate (double door that need animation to open slowly), then spin the camera fast (unscoping) while pressing F to interact with the door slide. Its only work on PC version but not on PS5 because they cant turn the camera fast enough to trigger this glitch. However, Capcom knows about this glitch and they decided to patch on next week to prevent this abuse happened again. Just dont bother doing it, try to find another strat for saving time faster like making faster line and route to minimize time to wander around.

Not sure if this was mentioned but it's important to clear that on Professional the Clock section with Ashley has a different solution than Standard. On Prof the time is 7.00 and standard is 11.04

You can also kill Salazar with golden eggs (throw them at the core. Twice in Hard Core.) Normal eggs does less damage but still brings slazar down for Knife action sequence.

That was explained in requests about Salazar Defamation by throwing eggs to his picture. He have extreme weakness to eggs and by hitting with it, he taking so much damage that can killed him really fast. This is the reference of Krauser with Knives and Mendez with Flame Grenades in OG version, they just make alternative version of it and most of us still dont know about Salazar weakness to eggs.
Out of sheer curiosity I actually took out the AA gunner with a handgun, turns out it really works, just need to have real good timing & patience

@@jacobcook7967 The upper elevator door needs a key but this can be skipped by inputting the correct clock time and just taking the bottom elevator doorway. Leon can go through this section without a key similarly, except Ashley already input the code so he can still go downstairs to that doorway.

for the chainsaw twins, you can shoot through gaps in the fence for that first gate you don't need to spend a nade on it, laser sight helps to know where the hitboxes are
4:35 for this skip (ch 9 lever room) instead of wasting a rocket launcher you can use a bolt with an attached mine instead shoot it on the wall behind the lever and right as the zealot comes through they will instantly explode which will allow you to pass through without all that ruckus
be careful with the chapter 15 one on professional you still have to go and takeout the enemies manning the guns up top the pilot does not take them out and no autosave to rambo run to the next section and auto save skip it.

4:35 For all the Remake players, (this was a commonly used trick in Resident Evil 4 2005.) you don’t have to use a Rocket. You can use the trusty ol’ grenade or flash. Either will stun the Cultist, preventing the lever from being pulled. 😁
You can tell how aware Capcom is of the RE4 speedrun community with how many little things are in the game. Obviously, ignoring the sniper scope skips
They definitely are, there's also the Striker shotgun charm you can get from the shooting range that increases movement speed, referencing the Ditman glitch that speedrunners use. If you can get it from the first range it's definitely worth the 5 minutes if going for s+.

on ramon’s fight if you throw a golden egg at him it will take 70% of his life and will leave him vulnerable, making him pretty easy to kill + there’s a golsen egg on the room with the quest to throw an egg at a picture of him

You can skip the garrador fight and the ENTIRE wrecking ball section by glitching through the appropriate doors with a scoped rifle
I assume this video was made with all platforms in mind since that skip doesn't work on console. It'll probably also be patched out eventually unlike all the skips in this video.

@@zMaat pc only, back to the door and aim down sights to the ground, your character gets closer to the door this way, and while you un-ads turn around manually with your mouse and just spam f, you need to move your mouse REALLY fast, and once you get it, its REALLY consistent, like first try every time i do it now

@@zMaat There´s an easier glitch that still works after the newest update. 1. set Camera speed and fov to max. 2. crouch then look all the way down with ur camera then from the top of the stairs in Chapter 14 take 5 steps back while having ur back turned. Then turn around and spam F. If done correctly Leon will glitch to the other side of the door. Wolker4 made a Video showing this Glitch and I was surprised that it still works. It probably works on other doors too. But I´ve only tried it on Chapter 14.

If you're on PC you can skip the wrecking ball part all together by turning your aiming sensitivity to the max, putting your back to the double doors at the start of that area, looking down at your feet while aiming down with a scoped weapon and then quickly flick your mouse to the right while spamming the interact button and Leon will clip through the door, letting you proceed to the elevator without having to do the wrecking ball section.
Works on console too

I forgot what chapter but after exiting the village chief's house for the first time, if you kill the villager outside the cave, he doesn't warn the others and the dogs won't spawn but the tower still explodes sadly.

There's a missed one, right before the cabin fight when you join up with Luis and hide Ashley. You can B line the entire farm sections simply by running with Ashley towards the cabin where Luis is in, with tight formation until the cut scene shows.
Village Farm and Castle wall skip can be done with a pistol. There is a small spot but they are possible. On hardcore mode I was able to use a Heavy Grenade and Regular Grenade to take down the turret. There is also a skip for the Chainsaw sisters using all modes except Professional where you can grab the handle without issue. They also have Ramon very weak to a golden egg, so I'd save it over using it on the questline. 2 take him down without issue, one and a knife attack almost bottom his health out. Just some updates at this time.
Ramon was weak against egg because he was explained on request about defamation on his looks. By throwing the egg, he is very disgust with it and thus reducing his HP significantly like Mendez with Flame Grenade and Krauser with Knives on OG version.
If you're doing an S+ run you can sell the golden egg from the village for the sub mission for spinels to get a ticket for the infinite chicago sweeper at the start of the castle. You can get another golden egg at salazar's throne room inside a cube-locked shelf and use that on the boss instead.
@@Jared0811Gaming I meant an S+, no bonus weapon run. Might as well knock both out at the same time. You can sell the egg whenever for the quest to count.

Bruh the chapter 14 shortcut was a shortcut? I did that my first playthrough and just thought that's what I was supposed to do XD.
Don't know if it has been said already, but you can't do that ashley skip, or to be clear, you can, but it breaks the game. I know it from experience. You have to go get the keys from upstairs and you have to use them to go up the elevator that breaks and makes you have to climb out of it. Again, from my own experience.
If you do the skip from the video, you will lose the lantern in the lanterns puzzle, so you will get the salazar emblem but you will not be able to get to the room where you need to use it, since you should've gotten the keys and used the elevator first. Basically you get locked out of continuing the game and will need to restart the part with ashley.
Sorry, but from what I know, the Ashley part needs to played in full.
Just be clear, had the video of chapter 9 skip continued, ashley would get the emblem downstairs but would not be able to get to the room where you need to use it, because she didn't get the keys and at this point you can't get them anymore.
