Note 10 Plus is still a fantastic device.
I still have it,next to my Galaxy S23 Plus.
The Note 10 Plus is the most beautiful design ever made by Samsung.

I had my Note 10 Plus for 3½ years & it served me well.
I just wanted a new phone so I got the S23-Ultra & haven't looked back since. I thought my Note 10 Plus was great until I got the S23-Ultra & it's a huge difference & blew the Note 10 Plus out of the water.
I only upgrade every 2 to 3 years to get the most bang for my buck bc they're mini computers & expensive as Hell.
Sammy comes out with a new phone every 8 months with very little uogrades.
You can't go wrong with getting the S23-Ultra, but the only thing I hate is it doesn't have SD Card support
    😠 😡 🤬

My N 10+ is four year old now and hands down the best phone I have owned. I cant see where the tech leap is to justify trading in such a sleek fast and beautiful phone at this time.

I'm concerned about the reduction in ram from 12 to 8 gig.

Concerned about what? I rarely use 12GB of RAM on my PC. What are you doing with your phone?

It could be because you have a better processor and you don't need as much ram
And that way less consumption on battery
And 8gb for the multitasking that you do there I guess it should be fine
      Just assuming

    I have the N10+
Was this close to getting the 23, but then, while on a walk one day, i thought ,"why?" My N10+ still works just fine, it's paid off, works beautifully for what i use it for (browsing, pics, texting). Seeing this video further supports my decision. The 23 has faster this and that, but i don't game. I watch YT and Netflix with zero issues.
I MIGHT jump to the 24 next year if, for anything, the upgraded OS and Bixby.

Honestly there really isn't no comparison. Yes the Note 10 plus is still holding out, still takes great pictures and uses a 45 watt charger but in terms of performance and camera capabilities the S23 is in a league of it's own. Still though you'd be better off getting the S22 Ultra if you're looking for a good phone that's still receiving updates. You cannot really tell any difference in performance on the 22 and 23, btw I laugh at those rushing to get the 24. It's a damn gimick.

Love my broken s10 and note 10+ (dying battery from stressful gaming) hoping to get s23 ultra if the s24 ultra is flat display

but you already know that there is a 4 year difference between them...

I'll be honest, I like the Note 10 plus which is what I am using now but really loved my S10 plus more because 1. It was smaller screen and fit in my pocket better. 2. Battery life was way better.
On my S10 plus I get over 2 day on the battery under normal use and barely 16 hours on the Note 10 plus. What's worse is the S23 ultra I have been eying even gets worse battery run times.
So basically you have to ask yourself this question? Do you want a phone with all the latest bells and whistles that barely gets 6 hours on a charge? Or an older phone that can get up to 3 days and still function fine?
Imagine getting stranded and happens a lot more than you think. But Imagine getting stranded and getting no signal you desperately try finding an area that will give you a signal to send for help. You going to trust a 6 hour phone or trust a 2 day phone?
