But in regards to the call: Turns out this was a playoff game that took place in New Jersey back in October. The team that benefited from the call actually ended up losing the game. The state's HS athletics authority ruled that the officials crew can still referee but no longer will be assigned to post season games.
If it makes y'all feel better, the opposing team (Vineland, the team that got fucked in that situation) ended up returning the kickoff deep shortly after this and ended up walking it off with a TD in the final seconds to beat the team the ref cheated for 20-19. Sadly the ref's cheating overshadowed the comeback so not a lot of people know about the outcome of the game.
The detective work on the fan throwing a water bottle was pretty CSI. David Caruso called and you're officially now on the team... Merry Christmas Jimmy & Jake!
There were also like 20 other people seated around the guy who immediately took photos of him and denounced him online right then and there so this was also super unneccessary which makes it that much better!
You can't get away with shite moves like that in front of 40thousand...smh
