    Good Job man, interesting to see how those items are fastened to the belt.

      I thought I would speed it up a bit as I have assembled webgear so many times in videos that I thought people might be getting sick of it :D

    Looks good to me. Liking the british made first aid pouch with the lift the dot fastener you don't see them forsale often.

      @@ChrisfurrsMilitaria1941 No. The British ones normally have snaps instead of lift the dots from what I can tell.
      But inside its marking are still pretty clear 😍

    If the dates/makers marks are to faded to read, try an infra red camera. Oddly enough, cheap baby cams can be really useful in showing up dates that are invisible to the human eye.

    What's wrong wrong with the bruni 8mm 45 ? I worked on a few in the past maybe I could help. One other thing is I'm an ex airsoft player but don't play due to being old but still like to collect replicas . How do you cover your defence with ukara as a reanactor?

      @@andrewscott7485 I have no idea whats wrong with it. I think it is just knackered. I dont have a mag for it either.
      I used to airsoft to. Ukara is not really relevant to me. Most of my guns are deacs which anyone can buy just because they want to have them. And if any shops need a "defence" then I just show them a picture of the Jeep 😂
      Ukara is not really relevant to reenacting unless you are trying to buy airsoft guns.

      @@Truffle1947 Probably the hammer being to worn down to push the pin far enough into the percussion cap, they grind down pretty quickly as does the pin itself if the pistol itself hasnt shat itself before then. Have had a fair few over the years, all do the same eventually.

    the one thing that mainly caught my eye is the m41 jacket you're rocking. Id say it looks too big on you. What brand is it and how old? there seems to be something amiss with the sleeve/body lenght ratio to me. Which is what really identifies a good m41.
    WPG's latest m41's have become quite nice and are known for a bit more roomy fit for larger guys but still with a good correct cut. Worth checking out!
    And nice 1919!

    • @Truffle1947
      @Truffle1947  27 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Maybe it is just how it comes accross on the camera?
      It fits nice. If anything a tat tight around the gut!
      I do have another one that is the next size down but that is really to tight oh me.
      I just need to loose some weight. They are both miltech ones.
      Yes I am very lucky to have a wartime pattern M1919A6 :D

    • @prinzalbatross9526
      @prinzalbatross9526 27 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@Truffle1947 I agree that the jacket does look rather long on you. The cut makes it look more like the arctic M41 than a normal field jacket. Never tried one myself but in the US groups I have not seen anyone say much good about Mil-tec M41s, preferring ATF, WPG, or even the Bronson brand ones.

    • @blastbri1997

      @@prinzalbatross9526 The latest ATF ones are sadly horrible now. Everything they did right before they have ruined.
      Best bet is WW2IMP, Bronson, WPG or original. in my humble opinion.
      Tbh the latest miltecs are not bad. They definently win over ATF's atm.

      @@prinzalbatross9526 I will keep an eye out for some other brands and see what difference there is. I know I cant go a size down that is for sure 😔

    • @prinzalbatross9526
      @prinzalbatross9526 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@blastbri1997 Really about the ATF ones? I've seen lots of complaints/ disappointment that they don't do wool lining to "save the consumer some money" but I haven't heard anything beyond that. The lining is why I don't have one myself.
      I have the second to latest WPG run and love it except for the pockets being low and the lining getting loose and baggy because I machine washed and dried the jacket but that's on me.
      I also have a Bronson and really like it, no complaints from me but the lining may be too green for someone's taste. However I don't think that's inaccurate, og lining color probably varies a bit.
      My only real complaint about WWII Imp is the cost. Sure the quality is probably some of the best but it's almost prohibitive to get more than one or two items from them when there are plenty of cheaper, still good quality vendors out there.

      @@chrispig7748 The webgear is very heavy duty. But I think the real answer is that in a way thet dint. It will of gotten battered out in the field.
      One of the field manuals covers keeping your webgear in god order. Im sure I saw that mentioned in one of my manuals. But I am sure that in reality therevis only so much you can do in combat conditions.
      As for the soliders themselves. Well there were stronger men than me that is for sure!
