    Two videos in one day! Nice work Ricky and impressive how simple your design is but so effective too.

      Thanks Jonny, there's another one coming soon where I modify the Sunlu S1 to turn it into a bit of a monster.

    Thank you for this comparison! It's great that you used a control as a point of reference that is unaffected by other variables.

    I put a Reptile Heating Mat in my dry box, not tested but I'm assuming it improves the effectiveness

    Great video, just curious how long will the dehumidifier material last. I see 45 days on some advertisements, but I think your sealed box could greatly increase this.

      At least a year if you only open the box when changing filament I have found.

    Hi Ricky! I have finally made the decision and settled for the Creality Ender 3 S1 Pro. I've placed the order just an hour ago. Now I'm looking into a good dry box. May I ask for your recommendation on a good filament dryer? It can be a ready-to-use dryer or one that needs modification or a completely DIY one is okay. I'm willing to put in the time to make it work.

      Hi, congrats on your purchase, I think you'll love it! From what I've seen there is no perfect filament dryer on the market. The Sunlu/Jayo S1 is generally cheaper now but it needs some mods or at the least, the lid propped open to work the best. I haven't tried the S2 yet but I see nothing that suggests it will be any better as it still has no ventilation. Personally I prefer to save some pennies and buy something less expensive that will do the job but I've had people recommend the Eibos models. They are a lot more expensive though.

    Hi
    from my experiance if you add a fan on the dryer pack it boosts its efficiancy X2 to X4 times. so it might dry even better

    Have you considered installing a reptile heatting mat inside the dry box to heat the filament?

    • @RickyImpey
      @RickyImpey  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I did, but the idea was always to have many of these boxes so that each roll of filament has its own dry environment. It would get expensive to heat each one.

    considering the subject matter of this video, your shirt is funny! "SuperDry" - was it a coincidence?
