Change Handle bar on Harley Davidson V Rod

This is one of my favorite upgrades on this 2011 Harley Davidson V Rod night Rod special
However, you will have to do some change to the bike beside upgrades your handle bar!
With this handle bar, your odometer has to be relocated under the custom airbox cover
There are few different style that you can choose which doesn’t require odometer relocate.

NICE!! I just got the same drag bars. My VROD stock handle bars have internal wiring so its taking me longer to swap out for the drag bars. Do you have progressive suspension for your shock setup? What height?
Nice! You’re talking about the rear shock? I keep it stock since the fender doesn’t Leave too much gap :)
This video was very informative for me because I plan on doing the same style handlebar but my main concern is the brake and clutch cables. Did they have to much play in them or is it more of a perfect fit?
They fit pretty good with 2007 nigh rod and up! Wires will be inside the bar, cables are outside no issues

@@DIY_Corner253 they look very good i absolutely love them. I'll be putting the factory color on mine when I get it painted mainly because I do like that color along with i haven't seen another one in that color. The color is black pearl matlic
Are the ones you remove the extended reach bars?
The one I removed was stock bar I believe
What do you do with the otmeter if you put the handlebars before the airbox
You can buy a drag bar with smaller diameter so you can mount the odor on it like OEM. The bar options are in the provided link
How long did it take for delivery from the time you placed your order?!!
Depend on seller but probably 2-3 weeks
Can that flat bar be installed on a 2017 Vrod muscle

I know you have the Airbox with the odometer but Could you install the odometer on that typical drag bar if you wanted to?
Great question! Modification maybe needed for sure. But you don’t want modify that nice bar. In the link I provided. There is another 2” bar with 1” tube in the middle for odometer to mount back on. Check it out
@@DIY_Corner253 Okay so pic C and D are the bars you can mount the speedometer, I see they both have a 135mm space
@@jdawg6439 I have not try them but that what I think the bar was design for. You should Double check with the seller just to make sure
Is their a special kit you have for placing the lamp, I see it is lower

Love the bars, but my gauges is on the top, and this bar wouldn't work with that, otherwise I'd for sure but these sick bars.
I've got a body kit from my old 2013 I was rear ended on, and a turbo ready to get powder coated, had to buy a new engine for a 2008 nightrod, the old engine blew, was a lemon, harley dealers suck at night rods, they're taking their time, I'm worried if I"ll even get it back.
for sure going to do my own work next time.

Mann! That suck. Yea dealer is alway the last option, cause it will be time and money consuming but for sure they will do it professionally with warranty. Hope your get the bike back soon.

My only concern is there is no space to put your phone on the handle bars. They look awesome but also look to fat for any phone clamp. Im bad at getting lost so I gotta have the phone on the handlebars lol
That’s right! I have not try with any phone mount but there are thinner bar out there look good too. You may try
