Alan, a suggestion for filming. When filming the sluice while it is working, why not place an umbrella over it so there won't be any glare on the water? These new mini-nugget traps seem to be one of your greatest ideas. Just wondering how things would work if you built a large, (3 mats wide) sluice for processing that tiny black sand from the Washington beach next year? I would think a combination of both large and mini-nugget traps, with a Large High-Low V mat between each Nugget Trap set.
nice clean up, it would of been nice to see what was in the different sections, clean the bottom mat, then the middle, ect just to see how much the gold traveled down the sluice,,looked like the nugget traps caught about 90+ percent.
The nugget traps did a great job. I have done the different sections so many times with about the same results I am just getting tired of doing it. But a good idea.

You have yet to make a mat that’s not impressive! Those nugget traps... more like every size trap. Lol They stole the show! Did you consider running just the slanted hi-low mat without the nugget traps in case the person just wants to run those?

Good idea with the umbrella. I have already made some changes to the nugget trap molds. we will see.

So the black sand came from Cape Disappointment in Washington state.

Glad you like them! The old timers left a ton of flour gold out there they had no way to catch it and it was to small to bother with.

Yes I do. I use a speed controller.

So far I have never wore one out. If you have the molds you can just make more for about for about $12.00 a square foot.
