But or Rent - 50 First Dates - • 50 First Dates
Playboy vet Henry sets his heart on romancing Lucy, but she has short-term memory loss; she can't remember anything that happened the day before. So every morning, Henry has to woo her again. Her friends and family are very protective, and Henry must convince them that he's in it for love. - บันเทิง
Holy crap! As many times as I’ve seen this, I just now realized something. When they’re walking through the hospital, you hear Dan Aykroyd’s character (the doctor) say that they’re funded by an auto company out of Sandusky, Ohio owned by T.B. Callahan. Which is a reference to “Tommy Boy”! A movie Dan was in with David Spade and Chris Farley. That is so cool!
The movie is based on a true story where a man's wife was in an accident and lost of her memory, including him in her life. He makes tapes and stuff to show her about it and is still married to him. That's certainly devotion.
Aren't you talking about "The Vow"
This film is not based on a true story. The vow, is.
Yes it is..
... nooooope...
I had a brain aneurysm followed by surgery when I was younger and my memory was like swiss cheese after that and it took me quite a while to get better. I had seizure activity from it and had to learn things all over again. I was 30 when this happened. I look at this film ever so grateful what went on with her was not my fate and although I am on disability, I am very functional. This movie gets me very emotional
I also had a brain aneurysm, i had emergency surgery at age 19 after it ruptured. I love the comedy and the reality that it shows. I also had and still have some memory issues, and I think I have realized that if I can create new memories- that things will be okay.
I hope you are doing well.
Aloha also means circle, so it is said that the aloha you give is equal to the aloha you receive. A beautiful reminder that everything in this life comes back
God the culture in Hawaii is so beautiful
This was the first Adam Sandler movie to make me cry, and then Click destroyed me!
I love Drew and Adam when they do movies together each movie, they'd done together has turned out to be a great film.
Your fans prolly like seeing you tear up in movies just because it shows your vulnerability and ability to empathize with other people. It's coz you are a good human. 😅
9:04 have to watch miss congeniality!! 😆
this is one of my most favourite films ever!! i saw this and i literally said out loud “i have to watch this” i’m so happy to see you react to it!!!!
This and The Wedding Singer are two of my favourite Adam Sandler movies
Watching this requires watching Blended if you haven't
You should watch ‘I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry’
One of my favorite movies! When I was younger, this movie would play at least 3 times a week on the same tv channel, we didn't have cable so I'd always end up watching it. I even memorized most of the dialogue lol but even still, it makes me tear up and laugh every single time I watch it.
I'm so sorry about your mom JV. I lost my dad last Christmas Eve, he'd been sick for 6 years and it finally caught up to him, to us. I lived with him throughout those years, throughout my whole life. I'd always heard that having to watch someone you love slowly slip away is a special kind of pain... It certainly is, and if he wouldn't suffer for it, all I'd want is more time with him. It's been 6 months now and it still feels unreal most days. We had a lot of great times and great laughs those last 6 years in particular, and I know he knew how much I loved him, and even those I'm not ready to revisit those memories just yet, them being there waiting for me is a true blessing. My dad had cancer not dementia and I know they're not really the same, but if you can make any good memories with her at all, even if only you remember them, I would try if I was you. It's never not going to suck, I know they say parents shouldn't have to bury their kids, but burying your parents isn't easy either. They are the one original first thing that connects you to this world to life itself. Losing them is nothing short of losing a piece of yourself, and if they were good parents its that much bigger a piece. I really am sorry JV and I hope your mom doesn't suffer. My thoughts are with you and your family. It sounds like your mom is a great person and I'm sure she'd want you to find peace with this as you would for your girls... Easier said than done though right... Take care of yourself, great video!
My grandfather has di-men-sia, its not as bad as Lucy. But he forgets when you tell him or ask him something and he doesn't know what day it is... Or if he ate or not. So it's a lot... Of reminding
his reaction to her in a wet top. don't let wife see this haha 🤣🤣
true i was like hey hey you have a wife😂
thank you for sharing about your mother ❤ sending big hugs your way. stay strong for her ❤
I watched these over 20 times for sure. and I still cry in the ending.
Love the channel!! Can’t wait to watch when I get home !!! Please one day watch “phone booth” 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
One of my all time favourites. You should check out Blended . Starring both Adam and Drew. They work so well together.
We went through the same thing with my Grandma Leaver & my Grandma Leaver’s mother.
new subscriber here. nice reaction. keep doing what you doing man. praying for your mother.
One of my fav rom-coms. Thank youuuu
Music is the only thing that triggers memories in those around me with Alzheimer's Disease. Songs from their teen years, especially. I understand the frustration. Regarding repeating stories, I know I do and I tell the people around me, "Pretend we're married and you are required by law to listen to my stories over and over again." It helps. Much good luck and a wonderful Reaction.
29:12 How the hell have I not noticed the fact that the mental institution in this movie was funded by the automotive company from Tommy Boy? Considering Dan Akyroyd playing in both Tommy Boy and this movie, it is a subtle but fun callout.
I'm glad you loved the movie. Great reaction.
this is one of my favorite movies another one i watch every christmas is eight crazy nights
Just subscribed this is one of my favorite movies
I'm sorry to hear about your mom JV. My grandmother is in advanced Dementia know so I understand where you are coming from.
I LOVE this movie so much! It's the only Adam Sandler movie that I like because it is super sweet.
hey there, Justin I just wanna let you know you’ll make your way through it. I know you will cause my grandpa is currently going through the same thing and I know it’s hard, but we just have to be kind and loving and their time of hardship.
If you liked this one, you should watch (blended) it has the same two in it and it has Shaq and Terry crews
I am sending all my thoughts and best wishes to you and your family as you help your mother through her dementia diagnosis.
I speak from experience in saying that it is difficult to be the audience to that. My mother was my grandfather’s primary caregiver for the last six years of his life, and his dementia was severe, meaning he had to be in a memory care home. I helped where I could, and will tell you what we were told: every feeling you have throughout this is valid and understandable. And don’t be afraid to ask for help.
Best wishes.
Sorry for your mom ❤
26:30 I'm wondering what local official is unaware of her situation? Maybe it's a new one. 🤷♂️ Regardless, this is information that should be known inside of the department.
filmed on several different of the Hawaiian islands...
Lusia Strus, who plays Alexa, is a very beautiful woman irl. I love it when actors are willing to be ugly for a movie. One of my favorite examples of that is Charlize Theron in the movie Monster. She's almost unrecognizable and she was brilliant in it.
If you want to see a movie where Drew Barrymore plays the same kind of character as when she chased Ula with the baseball bat in this movie, check out Whip It! With Elliot Page, Kristin Wiig, Juliette Lewis, and a lot of others you'll know. That's a really fun movie about roller derby and being who you are vs what someone else wants you to be. Pretty standard stuff, but fun anyway.
"Caught me off guard" 😂😂😂😂
You should check out Blended, it’s another cute Adam Sandler/Drew Barrymore movie.
Noice! Love seeing this 💜
I love this movie👍🏼👍🏼
Stopped short?!
That's my move!

"Why does every movie have vomit?!" 😂😂
I feel you. My mom has Alzheimer’s she no longer remembers me and she can’t properly form sentences. She lives in a memory care home.
