Oh my! We LOVE giving recommendations! BTS doesn't really have a specific genre, so the music styles will be varied. I will agree with @emi for On Kinetic Manifesto and Black Swan. I will add Singularity, Blood Sweat & Tears, and Fake Love. Just enjoy the fabulous MVs, the good music and dancing, and don't worry about the BU if you don't want to get too far into the rabbit hole!
Hi Lauren, so nice to meet you! Honestly this request is kind of hard because even tho BTS are usually tagged as k-pop, they have music in almost every main genre (and they mix up styles too), so it depends on what you personally like to start getting into them. Gotta recommend you a few of them in some genres (notice some have MV and others don't, but you can watch cool performances of them instead, the ones with MVs are marked with a *): Pop: Boy With Luv*, Spring Day*, HOME, Dimple. Hip-Hop: Mic Drop*, Tear, the Cyphers (which are four, named according to the number). Ballad-type: The Truth Untold. EDM: DNA*, Best of Me, Outro: Wings. Here I put only group songs or songs in subunits, because each member has also solo songs or discography, which you can explore later.
ON Kinetic Manifesto Come Prima, Mic Drop Steve Aoki remix, Black Swan (haven't watched the mv yet I'm saving it lol, but it was amazing at their recent concert if you want to watch that footage but i guess the mv you can turn on the closed captions for lyrics the meaning is important), I like the SNL live performance of Boy With Luv, i love the choreography in Dope, Blood Sweat and Tears is Leo DiCaprio's favorite, I'm also saving that mv to watch for the first time
It would be nice if you were correct that after Dynamite Grammy snub (which it was, clearly BTS deserved best duo/group over two people that just joined together for one song that was less achieved), wish you were correct that it would be hard to further deny BTS. but whether or not BTS is grateful and gracious about their repeat nomination for Best Group, many of us, including hugh McIntyre of Forbes, consider them to have been snubbed again especially since Grammy included ten slots. When nominations were announced in two of the categories they were snubbed in, record if the year and song of the year, one of those had only 8 nominees with two slots available. And they added two additional a few days later, not BTS. Grammy's history of rewarding commercial success wasn't followed with BTS's Butter which broke so many records and global top sales , but no nominations for Record and Song of the Year, only Best Group nomination which was beyond a no brainer
the members actually did know about taehyung as he’d been training with them and going to school with them but he was just hidden from everyone outside of the company
V literally sat under the table near the trashcan during his trainee days while the others did their vlogs. Don't look at the hair, look at the faces and remember those. ETA: Tell your wife not to stress herself. She can just enjoy their music. :D
@@loralarson551 I gotta say, red RM & red Yoongi were hard to differentiate in 146P During PTD. It may not have been the same colour but it was close enough to make me, a 2016 ARMY, play the guessing game.
@@loralarson551 I agree but at 146p there is only so much you can distinguish plus it's fan live stream, it's shaky at best while being extra blurry and the boys are often just a "tiny blub" of pixel. I'm use to it and I'm not complaining since it allowed me to listened to the offline PTD ments. Just pointing out that even in the case of a 5 (almost 6) years old ARMY given the right circumstances, yeah mix them up sometime
You're no longer a "baby Army". There are many routes to becoming a full-fledged Army, and reading Demian is one of those routes. Listening to every album will come with time, but you've already proven yourself worthy! Tell Lauren that she doesn't have to follow the BU, she can just enjoy the MVs for what they are... very artistic MVs, where odd things happen sometime. lol. The BU is not for everybody, but she is aware of it, and that is enough.
I say you're no longer a baby army when you understand every video BTSxARMY put out even without context because you know all the inside jokes. For me it's was going through all their mvs watch all the Run episodes, Bon voyage, In the Soop. The boys were always authentic from the start so having themselves on camera is easy for them.
just wanna leave here that Dynamite WASN'T an evil plan of domination lol they've said multiple times that when they heard the song they all agreed that it just sounded better in eng so they left it like that + they wanted to reach with positivity to as many people as possible bc it was half a year since pandemic started and we all remember how hard these times were with all new adjustments and sacrifices we had to do. number 1 at hot100 wasn't expected by them, they were so surprised and excited and couldn't believe their eyes. some of them slept through the chart weekly announcement bc they didn't think it was something to anticipate. i don't disregard that it was really a smart move and the company most likely saw where this is going, BUT esp with this movie reference it sounds like bts released dynamite with a hidden intent that was meticulously planed lol. they've also said a lot of times that dynamite wasn't in a schedule at all, if not the pandemic, they would have been touring that august, but the world was closed off and ofc they had a need to promote to reach out to armys at least this way, so they did dynamite bc it's a happy song for the dark times :)
Exactly. It was meant to cheer people. This narrator sounds like a car salesman. I dont care much for this video as an introduction, but still better than that Idaa one.
Not to mention BTS were supposed to be on a world tour in 2020 for Map of the Soul: 7. But because of the pandemic the whole tour was cancelled. BTS has said had the pandemic not happened Dynamite probably wouldn't have happened.
Dynamite was feel good be happy. They did admit Butter was that but also their hope of winning the Grammy this year. I think Permission to dance came back to the Dynamite reasons. So it was a bit of both. That isn’t wrong. They are artists and a Grammy probably means more to them to bring home to Korea then even for themselves. For RM, Suga and probably JHope it is validation of their years of hard work. Since they have written and produced since the beginning. That of course is not discounting everyone else’s efforts.
@@maykacha4987 Butter was not for Grammy's. Some reporter asked them during the conference if they wanted a Grammy for Butter. RM didn't know how to answer that question. Saying no was stupid. They wanted a Grammy. But saying it was for the Grammys was also hubris and not why they made the song but they didn't want to say no either. Suga didn't have that problem and simply said yes. He didn't care which song he got the Grammy for he just wanted to have one and both answers were "wrong". The question was stupid and maybe a trap. It literary had no "right" answer.
Her smile as soon as you stared with “It’s a great day to play everybody” gave me everything I could ever ask. She’s so beautiful and seemed very comfortable, loved her being here with us this time!! Bring her again more times!! 🤍✨
You definitely don't NEED to delve into every aspect of BTS content to be a fan. Just listen to a BTS focused Spotify playlist and enjoy the music. Follow your own path of discovery and listen to what you like. And the term "Baby ARMY" is more a term of endearment from us... as in YEAH you are NEW TO BTS! WELCOME and let us feed you content. :)
I understand it's intimidating to get into them. But honestly, most of us ARMYs didn't start thinking we would watch all of their content. I just casually listened to their songs and watched their videos for a while, until there was that spark that made me honestly want to explore deeper. And I'm definitely not caught up. I was hoping I would be able to get through a bit more now that BTS are on vacation, but then it turned out that they only meant that this was a vacation for them, not for the ARMY, so we've been almost busier in the last few days than when BTS are working 😂. Anyway, I just meant to say, that you shouldn't put too much pressure on yourself, thinking you have to know everything about them to be a fan. There are casual listeners and casual fans of them (though not actually that many, because they do tend to turn casual listeners into ARMY 😂). As far as the "boyband" think goes, yes. There are negative connotations in culture when it comes to that word. That's why ARMY is not fond of people calling them that. Not because it's not technically true, but because if you describe them to someone as a "boyband", there's a high chance that person is then gonna make a lot of assumptions about BTS in their mind and maybe deciding not giving them a chance, because they'll assume it's not gonna be their style. The same thing goes for the "kpop" label (well aside from the fact that we were kinda kicked out of the kpop community by the fans of other groups a few years ago 😂 - it was a by-product of another attempt to bring BTS down). Like, just look at the amount of people who are shocked that BTS rap. That's basically why we don't like the "boyband" label much. A lot of the times it's used as a derogatory term, especially in the media (which is another story of it's own, let's not go there).
I get annoyed with the Nsync Backstreet Boys comparison bc their choreography was Mickey Mouse compared to BTS, they didn't rap let alone while dancing, and only BTS is another Beatles global phenomenon but with remarkably none of the ego or arrogance that accompanies that level of success
I started by listening to the music, and then all of a sudden I realised I’d listened to every song. I moved on to compilations and loved their personalities which led me to run BTS. THEN I joined army twt, a fully fledged army
V was never hidden from the other members...he had been training with them all along, he was just a surprise to the public. They were releasing music before debut....cover songs etc on SoundCloud. I think the main reason that ARMY dislikes the "boy band" label is because boy bands aren't generally involved in the writing/producing elements of their careers like BTS is. They are handed music and told how to perform it. That's not to say they aren't talented, they just don't have the involvement in their careers that BTS do. BTS were given artistic freedom to write about things that were relevant to them and their generation. I understand your wife's point about the volume of their content being intimidating, but like you said, it can be enjoyed at a multitude of levels. You can just enjoy the music or you can take a deep dive. Being a "deep dive" person myself, I am hesitant to jump into any other groups because BTS keeps me busy! The presale for the LA tickets happened because those who had tickets to the previously cancelled tour (due to Covid) got first dibs. I laughed when your wife said "they're almost caught up, how much more can there be?" because BTS never fails to keep us fed. It can seem like too much maybe to a new fan, but you get as involved as you choose in the fandom and content. I don't think you would be baby ARMY by any stretch. Baby ARMY isn't a negative connotation....it just means you are lucky enough to still get to enjoy some stuff for the first time. I enjoyed hearing your wife's perspective. Thanks for another great reaction.
My personal opinion... I think Pink is probably one of the few American artists that isn't afraid to champion the underdog with her music and outside of it, to show us her life, and to stand behind what she says. She also always sings live and does incredible stunts/acrobatics during her live shows. :)
To this day I still can’t re-watch AHL especially the 1st episode. Poor baby Jungkook. It brought me to tears when he said he just wanted to see his family and say goodbye to his mom because he thought he was going to die. My mom instinct kicked in and just wanted to protect the boys at all cost. My son is the same age as Jin. Today is his birthday. DOB: 12/12/92.
BTS share a lot about their feelings, their ideas, their hobbies, their struggles, their mental health... But, they're very private about family and their personal relationships. That remains private. So, they do stablish boundaries. They also take social media breaks when they want, although since they're seven people, each member handles this differently.
Awww hun, its not just knowledge based, the most important thing about becoming an ARMY is that you just love them. You watched them grow, and are watching them grow now in real time, you understand and its just catch up now, and you get entertained along the way. You talk about them, pour over their content, involve your friend and wife. Hun...You are ARMY xoxo
You're no baby Army. Being in an Army is knowing it in your heart. Your love for the boys and how their influence can help you and you helping others around you. How you contribute yourself to the group, the fandom, their movement and showing yourself as a good example of their mission statement. Time has nothing to do with anything and there is no such thing as graduating. Some Armys can have been there from the beginning and some can be fairly new, say 1, 2 years but it just means how dedicated you are as a fan. What counts is how much we all know how you love the boys! Glad your on board and love your reactions, keep up the good work!
Please don’t consider BABY ARMY as derogatory. It’s a sweet term to call new fans who are beginning to learn about BTS. We just love it that you are interested. 🤗
According to suga, you officially become an army the day you find them….so I think you’re the only one who knows if you’re an army or not yet. Have you found bts? I love your reactions 💜
Don't stress her out! 😂 Just enjoy the videos and also watch RunBTS episodes to get to know their personalities and then you can decide how deep to dive. 💜
V was there for 2 years, the members knew he was part of the group. RM says he knew he was mischievous the day he showed up, and V went to his high school graduation. Jimin and V went to high school together before debut. I like you're doing your best to try to describe cultural differences and the history. Good job, keep going!
I think going through your first full comeback counts as graduating as a full army. There is no experience like living through the hype and excitement of a comeback and everything that comes with it.
Lol I will have to agree, I am about to experience this myself for the first time. I just experienced the online concerts and omg it was amazing!!! I hope I can buy the new album coming out in 2022!!!!
So wonderful that your wife stands by your passion and understands BTS as we all do and support them like we do too. Kudos and love both of you and of course Lucas.
I’ve heard many ways people say you would “graduate” from being baby army. From experiencing your first comeback to going to your first concert(the latter I would say is unfair) but I think it’s really up to you. For me it was when I went back and knew I’ve heard every song in their main discography because I took my time doing so and really dove into it and researched a bunch which took me about a year. That won’t work tho for someone who binged the entire discography in a weekend. But of course there will always be something new to learn with this group that as someone who’s been army for 2.5 years at this point I always love discovering some obscure fact about them. I think you are the one who decides when you stop being baby army. It’s when you feel like you’ve established yourself and feel confident enough to say that you are no longer baby army.
Also it bothers me that he didn't change the part about Bang PD "lying" to Yoongi. He didn't lie to him. There was a FULL hip hop group planned at first. Yoongi, RM and Hobi were part of it with Supreme Boi (who became a producer) and 2-3 others. Bang PD decided instead to make an Idol group. With an Idol group they have to dance so the other rappers left, Supreme Boi became a producer and Yoongi was going to follow but Bang PD convinced him to stay with the group. So he never lied to him, the facts changed when the group style changed and he talked Yoongi into it. The members did know about Tae from the beginning. In fact Jin used to make lunch for him and he went to school with Jimin. Only we (the fans) didn't know, he was off to the side in many of the vlogs especially the group ones. Tell Lauren, just hopping around the music is fine. She doesn't need to immerse herself in the world.
I'm so glad that your wife watched this update with you. It is one of the best videos out there. And, even of she doesn't become a BTS fan, @ least she can better understand why you are a fan.
The members knew about V. Having a surprise member was a marketing tactic. Just a little extra to stand out among the many other groups that would debut that year.
I feel like you graduate when you’ve gone through the main content and most importantly live through a real time comeback with the music video and album drop countdown and live shows etc ie the start of a new era
I'm not the one to tell you when you will stop being a baby army but for me is when I had followed/viewed the BU, listened to all their album (including all the solo work) and understanding the inside jokes. That was for me to feel like I belonged to ARMY.
I believe u. I watched several bloggers talking about BTS with less knowledge and research... like just doing it to gain views . Since when we see the word BTS we will watch it. Baby ARMY.. he is. If BTS did not become world famous he will not react with this video. I cannot believe what A real ARMY is. He has to be a member, take an exam , watch countless concerts , buy records, follow them defend them.... etc. i saw the ARMYs in LA recently and i cannot described the support and love they gave to BTS... I followed them since 2016 And this man is right he needs more research. Youre right an army like u will tell him when he will graduate...
@@ethelbocalig5120 An ARMY like me? I think you misunderstood my reply. I meant for me to not feel like a baby ARMY anymore I needed to do all those things. I've also started getting to know BTS in 2016, right after Young Forever. It took my a while to listened too all their SoundCloud songs and RM's solo work (at that point) and, frankly, even now 5 years later I still feel like a baby ARMY sometimes. Honestly, I think you're always baby ARMY because there is so much to learn about them that they have yet to say or express (with good reasons - they have the right to their privacy). Each time they come out with new stuff it's like discovering them all over again because they redefine themselves every comeback.
Before they actually debut they can release covers, vlogs, dance practices. So some people are actually following their journey in real time from the very beginning. We can really see it in the Rise of Bangtan series episode 1. But in the case of BTS in particular, RM and Suga were already well known in the underground rap industry. The difference between hip hop groups and kpop groups is the music first of all, aesthetics, how they present themselves, and what is expected of them, AND kpop group dance. Although BTS (and some other kpop groups) do many different genres and are pretty versatile. And also all the members knew V was in BTS, they were all living in the same dorm. The last member to join was Jimin as he said. When they were filming vlogs he was in the same room.
Tae was Just in Hawaii and thanked Army who pretened to Not know him in Public so He could enjoy His vacation, so even If they are celebritys the fandom is trying to give Thema a normal vacation
With regards to their sold out SoFi concert, the presale was for those of us who had tickets to the MOTS7 tour that was cancelled due to covid. We got 1st chance to buy tickets since we had them before and couldn't go. There was also a presale for official fan club type thing, but idk too much about that. The way the tickets were sold for PTD in LA was frustrating, ticketmaster made it a nightmare. We were lucky to get tickets even with the presale. As we clicked on empty seats they were selling out. Very high stress! We couldn't all sit together either, and this was presale! Craziness 💜
The real reason Bighit didn't reveal V, according to a recent interview with Bang Si-hyuk, was that they didn't want other companies to try to poach him. I am not sure, but I think the other companies might have tried to lure JK away.
I can relate, Lauren. BTS have so much contents that it’ can be overwhelming. I wish I have more time to explore them but between working full time and part time jobs, taking care of kids and 2 dogs and being married, 3-5 hrs a day BTS related is not enough.
The girl says that she can't get into BTS because its "overwhelming" which in other words means that she is simply not interested. When I first got into BTS, I was just like the guy in this video, I would take my time to learn about the boys. When you love something you do not feel overwhelmed by it, you simply take time to learn about it and it is exciting (for me it was anyway), in other words, its truly a matter of interest, and the girl is simply not interested to learn more about the boys, which is fine, nothing wrong with it, not everyone has the same interest 🤗
I have to say well done! Excellent reaction video. I must admit, in general I do not enjoy other BTS reaction videos. They tend to have a user vibe and don't add to my life and joy. I agree with your lovely bride... I witness your sincerity in regards to BTS 7. I love that your wife is involved. I witness that her inclusion with your work only enhances your marriage and family. As I read the comments below, I am impressed by the longest, most intelligent, kind, deepest and richest comments I have witessed since I started my BTS 7 journey in August 2021. They each have enriched me personally. I have no doubt this is a reflection of your own intelligent, kind, deep and rich aspects of your beautiful self.
All the members of BTS were officially concluded by 2012. This gave them 1 full year to interact with potential fans by posting music, covers, vlogs, etc, in an effort to have financial support as soon as they debuted. This was a crucial and effective strategy Bang PD came up with, especially because Big Hit didn’t have the funds to waste.
When that time i didn't know anything about BTS i can't even remember of how i started to like and love them and at first there's so many content to catch up to BTS i was overwhelmed too and look at me now, i almost know every content they have, those videos is worth my time beacause they made me at my happiest in times that i don't have anyone.
Aww, you wife has a beautiful smile! Just remember that you both can take it slow and listen or learn whatever interests you at that time, no need to dive head first into BTS. Thank you both for this reaction!💜 Of course I know GidKidDAD is an ARMY, but I hope both of you know that neither of you have to learn anything if you don't feel like it. And there's no rush either. Edit: Just so you know if you watch another live stream concert, you can put subtitles on, but the subs are just for when the guys talk to the audience. And they might be a bit delayed or incomplete. I believe only the BigHit staff and the other BTS members knew about V, it was a surprise for the fans and the media though.
Something to think about is that the recruitment process took years This video made it seem like it’s in chronological order but it’s not really. For example, when Hobi was thinking about leaving the company JK was already part of the team. JK cried and begged him to stay but this video didn’t mention that because it hadn’t introduced JK yet. When they started to do logs and open their twitter account it was near the end of 2012 or early 2013. They’ve been training and recruiting for a long time before they introduced themselves to the public. People came and went but we only talk about the ones who actually stayed as members. Also the members definitely DID know about Tae. It’s just that the public didn’t know.
I get your point about JK but I think this is one of the best origin stories out there. I didnt mind him saying jhope wanted to leave before him mentioning jk because the segment wasn't about jk. RM wanted to quit as well I think maybe they all felt that way at first. Also I like how this guy put them in order of joining because many origin series have them mix up. Im also glad he updated this as well. Anyway not trying disrespect your opinion I full understand your JK comment , I just wanted to say this particular origin story is one of the best out there.
@@teresanike7181 I agree it’s one of the better ones but it could be better. I only bring up the JK story because it’s an example of how this video might mislead some new army to think that it all happened this way chronologically when it was a bit more complex than that. I do like how they go in order of joining as well.
It was great! I like your reactions...They are so sincere! And your wife is lovely 😊 I'v been watching all of your BTS reactions for 3 days straight now- kind of got pulled into a rabbit hole 😂
So Happy Lauren could join you with the Reaction to BTS. Yes, it’s a wonderful way to play. Again Lauren Welcome to the Entrance of the most Amazing Rabbit Hole in the World. Hope you return whenever you can 💜 💜 💜 💜 💜 💜 💜
Yes!!!!!! You're wife is so on point. Same for me, just learned about K-Pop September this year and through BTS, now an army (baby army) through and through. K-pop was never mainstream internationally and only became "at least" mainstream thanks to BTS. I like hearing your wife's pov, she represents I feel some of us pandemic born armys. Just don't be intimidated with their content you can go through them slowly if you want. Their music is truly beautiful and impactful if you read their lyrics.
I started following BTS after the release of Map of the Soul: Persona. Boy with Love actually came on as an ad in the game I was playing. One listen and I was hooked! Yes, at first it can be daunting but the more you listen the more you want to learn and there is always helpful guides that can jump start you on your journey. BTS is the best decision I ever made
Hi Lauren, 🙋🏾♀️ V had been a designated member early on. Bang PD mentioned that he didn't want him to be poached by other groups. Here's my theory, V was poor from a farming community and he's mentioned going to the big city was a big deal. I think he would have easily been swayed by nefarious companies preying on his sheer innocence. He was about 16 yr old. Additionally his lower registered baritone was very unique in idol music and he would be a great asset for harmonies to any team. I believe they wanted to make sure he didn't get swayed. Let's not ignore his looks, 😍 I think he looked younger than JK at the start but they are were still growing and they knew a hottie in the making.
There may be something there, but, from what Bang PD said: it was a marketing strategy, to announce "there's a secret member", so more people would get curious and be attentive to check their debut. Edit: I've heard confirmations of this by pre-debut ARMYs too. People were super excited to get to see this mysterious 7 member.
@@lobaetoile8440 Yep that too, I don't want to forget the marketing genius of Bang PD, but, I've worked in entertainment so it's my theory and as theory goes it's nothing but a speculation not a rumor.
absolutely love this so much. thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to get into BTS, doing the research, taking it very seriously even though you have a choice of just being about the music alone. thank you for emersion yourself into the whole entirety that is BTS and fandom. Welcome new ARMY. 😊💜💜
im a 67 yr old army since 2017/2018...i just do the music, their concerts, Run....and i feel like an army....not baby army. i love love love them ! dont be overwhelmed, just do a trip thru their music....its enough. mv are the best and their practices.
I love BTS and have for awhile. This year in Australia we have had many months of Lockdown and being 68 with a lot of time on my hands I have watched many BTS TH-cam videos. Their journey of success has been difficult but amazing at the same time. I think they have succeeded as they are an unique group. I have only recently found your channel and I’m really enjoying your analysis. You want to become knowledgeable about BTS which is great. Keep up the good work and I’ll continue to watch.
Also, I've been a (VERY ACTIVE!) ARMY for two plus years and I'm STILL finding new songs and covers from them every month or so and I gave up on Run BTS around episode 50 and decided I'll get through them when they get drafted. The amount of content is vast and they keep dropping new stuff every day. It's a full time job to just stay up to date so I understand the way how it might be intimidating. Still worth diving at your own pace tho!
When you make it to/through your first comeback, you start leveling up past Baby Army, like through all the promotions leading up to it, so whenever the next title track for an actual album happens, if you make it through and stick around - 4 year Army
I don't think you'd be considered Baby ARMY anymore. More like a toddler 😂. You know their names, a huge chunk of their stuff, you're already doing BU and most importantly, you understand their journey and their personalities and the reason they're so big. I'd say you have graduated 😂. Graduating from a baby doesn't mean you know everything. But even if you still want more time, I think you can safely have an official graduation once you go through your first full comeback (meaning full album release). The next one is gonna start a whole new era too, so it's probably gonna be huge.
I think the reason that they’re comfortable showing their true selves to us is because for them ARMY is FAMILY.. so they know that they won’t be judged and will be loved unconditionally.
I would say you’re already an Army, versus a baby Army. Although, one of the main differences is understanding each members personality, quirks, and inside jokes. This goes beyond just knowing their songs, accomplishments, and background. It takes time watching their live streams, Bon voyage, Run BTS, etc. Though to be honest we don’t tell you when you are an Army. YOU will know. When you compare what you’ve done as a fan for other artists, to what you’ve done for BTS, and how they’ve impacted you and you life…You’ll know. That’s my personal opinion. I use to listen to music, buy the music, and maybe go to a concert for bands I loved. Then BTS came along and it went far beyond. Their happiness makes me happy. Their sadness hurts. Their statements and values were ones I wanted to share. I learned I could truly love people like a family member, even though I have never talked or met them. That’s what made me realize I am an Army. Everyone’s journey is different. But trust me, you will know.
Your wife is pretty and looks very young. I love her smile when you said your opening . Taehyung has always been there.he became a trainee before Jimin came but they kept him as a surprise member.
It’s okay Lauren. You find BTS when you most need them. I was very late to BTS. I knew of them but wasn’t interested. I started listening to them in 2018 by accident and have been blessed to have found them when I did. Like J Hope said, “liking BTS is the best decision ever!”
Of course, we like you. I'm looking forward to watching both of you react to BTS and their works. I personally appreciate you both not over reacting to BTS. Thanks for sharing this video with us. We ARMYs enjoy seeing another person get to know BTS and their music.
Just speaking for myself it doesn't matter when you discovered BTS but as long as you love/respect all seven of them you're good. I didn't learn everything overnight and a very large part of discovering the boys was through amazing comments left in different TH-cam videos that I've watched since 2018. You've come such a long way from your first reaction and it was sweet to watch you explain things to your wife, too. Hopefully she'll grow to enjoy them just as much since ARMY families are such a joy to watch them share it together.
I totally get her. I was like that before. Afraid of getting to them and felt its so overwhelming. You dont need to force yourself girl to like them. But i promise you they are good people. Its worth knowing them. Worth reading subtitles. Thank you for doing this reaction. Both of you. Your wife is very pretty. When do you graduate, there’s no specific time to graduating to Baby Army stage but i guess in my humble opinion its when you learn songs, their hardships, their albums, their shows and you can identify the strength and weaknesses of each member and still love them. I think its when you reach the level of acceptance that its how they are. They are not perfect but perfect reason to spend your time, money, your effort and your emotions if that makes sense
I sound like her 6 months ago. Hehe but I bet you, if you stay open minded and dig in a little further (just take 1 step at a time. the greatest thing about army is they allow you to admire bts the way that works for you, no pressure), you're going to be a fan in no time. 😅
Hi Army! It’s Lauren (GKD’s wife)
What are the top songs you guys recommend me checking out for me to get the best feel for BTS?
I would recommend on: kinetic manifestó and black swan, but remember that it always depends on your taste in music :)
Gotta recommend you a few of them in some genres (notice some have MV and others don't, but you can watch cool performances of them instead, the ones with MVs are marked with a *):
Pop: Boy With Luv*, Spring Day*, HOME, Dimple.
Grammy's history of rewarding commercial success wasn't followed with BTS's Butter which broke so many records and global top sales , but no nominations for Record and Song of the Year, only Best Group nomination which was beyond a no brainer
the members actually did know about taehyung as he’d been training with them and going to school with them but he was just hidden from everyone outside of the company
exactly
That a master piece😉😉💖
V literally sat under the table near the trashcan during his trainee days while the others did their vlogs.
Don't look at the hair, look at the faces and remember those.
ETA: Tell your wife not to stress herself. She can just enjoy their music. :D
They never have the same color and when one of the others chose a color that's the it's not the same shade.
@@loralarson551 I gotta say, red RM & red Yoongi were hard to differentiate in 146P During PTD. It may not have been the same colour but it was close enough to make me, a 2016 ARMY, play the guessing game.
@@A-maze1306 lol RM is taller than Suga and their smiles are definitely different.
nods!
True💜

I dont care much for this video as an introduction, but still better than that Idaa one.
yeah agree

@@cohe8098 welcome, I purple you 💜
Don't stress her out!
"People saw the sparkles in their eyes..."
V: Nah, that's eyeliner
She is lovely and bright and shiny. You scored.
Dear Lauren, You guys are great. Jo Ah Yo~
Your question is not UNFAIR when it comes to BTS songs...
It’s nice to see you showing the boys to your wife. Enjoyed your wife’s honest reactions. Looking forward to your next reaction with your wife.
The members knew about V. Having a surprise member was a marketing tactic. Just a little extra to stand out among the many other groups that would debut that year.
she is so pretty and nice!! purple u!
I followed them since 2016
And this man is right he needs more research.
I really like how honestly you speak. You seem very genuine. Keep going, I'm really enjoying your BTS reactions.
The sound I made when I saw the title in my notification was absolutely inhuman. I'm so excited!
The real reason Bighit didn't reveal V, according to a recent interview with Bang Si-hyuk, was that they didn't want other companies to try to poach him. I am not sure, but I think the other companies might have tried to lure JK away.
This was rumour spread(about v) by army..not true...
Please don't continue to spread misinformation.
She is such a sweet person...i would love to see her in more videos... :)

Yes!!!!!! You're wife is so on point. Same for me, just learned about K-Pop September this year and through BTS, now an army (baby army) through and through.

We like her.
The next one is gonna start a whole new era too, so it's probably gonna be huge.
its really overwhelming! dont rush yourelf, just enjoy the journey . its not the same for every ARMY. welcome!
you already do more than some armys from years ago tbh thank you for respecting their work and have so much love
the members did know about taehyung, they just promoted bts as a 6 member group to the public before debut
I’m so glad you watched this one. This is one amazing ytber made documentary
Yr wife very beautiful.... morw so ever her smiles .... 🤩🤩
THANK YOU FOR INTRODUCING BTS TO YOUR WIFE.. KEEP IT UP 💜💜💜
It was nice to see your wife and let her learn a little about the boys
You can see that he’s really trying to drag her into the BTS Rabbit hole. It so cute ☺️. This is every army when we find BTS initially!
Sending love on both of you 💜 💜
I am checking out your BTS journey... I just need to stop and say *Lauren has the most beautiful smile, just RADIANT and kind.* 💜
I think the reason that they’re comfortable showing their true selves to us is because for them ARMY is FAMILY.. so they know that they won’t be judged and will be loved unconditionally.
YAY!!!! Lauren time!!!! Welcome, and Borahae
Your wife is beautiful 😍😍😍she can understood clearly 💜
I really enjoyed the video. She is just pretty and very smart. Congratulations
Nice that you can share this with her. I can see the love between the two of you. Blessings from Kentucky for the upcoming Holiday and New Year.
Yes they have been nominated again for Butter as best Deo or Group.
