Thank God! I found a video that proves crown can be fitted in qanba drone. This is very helpful, I hope we can see how did you fit the crown lever at the drone. Thank you.
Joseph Do I'm soon to be purchasing a Etokki Omni Korean, it comes stock with a Taeyoung Fanta, I can purchase a Myoungshin Fanta with my order. The question is, are these two sticks the same, except that the Myoungshin has a stiffer grommet? If that's the case I would only need to purchase a stiffer grommet for the Taeyoung right? Unless the Myoungshin is more accurate or is different like having a short throw or some other different aspect to take into consideration.
The are relatively the same other than the grommet stiffness. There are slight differences like the size of the battop is slightly different. And the finish of the Myoungshin is shiny vs the Taeyoung being matted. And other slight differences like that.
My only complain about the Myoungshin is it tends to cancel everything too quickly so I often get hit by rather easily steppable moves as it cancelled my SS
Hi Ashenn, you have to drill out the hole and buy a couple of converters. I made a series of detailed tutorials: th-cam.com/play/PLnivzxftldZWFEih2FWau8Ak4Zd9yvZmU.html
The crown 307fj feels too tight for me and I can't seem to hit the directions properly on it is it possible to fix this with a low tension grommet? I own the crown help me, it feels just right for me, if I can make the 307 feel like the help me that would be great.
I don't have any experience with that, but if you feel the tension is too tight, try a lower tension grommet. You can find a set of grommets with different tensions and try them out, and use the one that feels the best. I've seen a set of grommets somewhere before, but I don't remember exactly which site.
This actually makes me wonder if the Crown 307FJ would work better, and cleaner without the spring. Given I've accidentally forgot to put the spring back into the stick once, when i was changing rubber grommets and it still worked very well. However, now I question if I should remove it entirely to emulate the Myoungshin Fanta.
Coincidentally, I think the crown 309 is fully rubber grommet, and they have a sanwa mount version that doesn't require drilling out your case. It's like a shorter collar version that will just sit just under your case. I haven't tested it out yet since I'm satisfied with the Myoungshin and Taeyoung.
You will need a step drill bit up to 30mm in size. You can probably do it with a dremel... But I think the step drill bit is more the right tool for the job.
It's a tight fit and you might have to bend some of the pins, but it will fit. The Drone is a pain to mod though because the stick part is mounted to the bottom, not the top like most other good fightsticks. imgur.com/ViEkAZ6
Joseph Do how did you manage to get the clip back on the bottom since the stick is mounted on the bottom? And then how do you get the bat top through the top plate of the drone when the bat doesnt come off? Did you put it through after the top was on and somehow get the clip on in that little hole on the bottom?
I got the clip on through the hole in the bottom. Basically i just carefully place the clip in the right spot, and used a needle nose plier to click it lock. Sorry for the late response as I've been busy as of late.
deathfist does not need neutral positioning. That's only for EWGF. But on topic. I ordered me the Crown CWL-309ML today. I wonder how that one compared to the fanta sticks and the 307. In a week or so I'll be smarter.
@@jacsmi I see, good thing is the glass didn't break while drilling it. I'm just thinking if did you open the cover first and drilled it on the back? (to avoid breaking the plexi)
What kind if switches do you recommend for the 307FJ ? I noticed that I can't hit diagonals with it, I was told to get omron switches since the panasonic switches in it are not wide enough for it.
Mr do I found a Video with a koreanische some Mod the Drone with crown 309 MJ its a half collar korean Stick try this korean Stick If you had issues with the space in the Case. I use at the Moment the half collar korean Stick from crown. Crown MJ 309 and the SDL 301 DX WHO is in Partnerchip with Infiltration. I want to Transition to full collar korean Sticks like the Fanta or taeyoung or costume Sticks like the fujin lever. I want to know What is good after Using sanwa mounted korean Sticks?
Lol just a fiy, your backdash needs work, you don't input down in a backdash cancel. That's why you're keep getting sway, if done properly, you should only be seeing back, db, back, n back,db, back and so in in your command history.
Just for sway characters this applies. You can definitely do qcb,n~b to bdc with none swayers although if you can execute d/b,n~b (KBD) you will lessen the window you are exposed to long reaching mids like Kaz f+3.
yea i know, the reverse wavedash method is also known as the bootleg method, but like you said, doing the conventional way is the best method, i highly recommend that method to anyone trying to learn backdash cancel
All Korean joysticks work for all fighting games, not just Tekken. And by the way, a crown Korean joystick is superior because it does not rely on a spring in order to spring back into neutral. It relies on a rubber grommet/rubber silicone in order to spring back into neutral in a split second. And speaking of springs, springs suck because they break easily.
Yes, I used Tekken as my example, but it works for other fighting games and non fighting games too, like classic beat them ups, or arcade games on mame. Also, some Crown Korean sticks do use a spring and rubber grommet combination - depends on the model, like the one I have. But the Taeyoung and Myoungshin sticks are purely rubber.
Crown 307FJ relies on BOTH a spring and a rubber grommet, the Myoungshin and Taeyoung only relies on the rubber grommet. You can see a teardown of Crown and Myoungshin here, the Taeyoung is pretty much almost the same as the Myoungshin internally. There may be other models of Crown that relies on only the rubber grommet, but I don't have those. About 2:50 minute mark on the video you can see the teardown: th-cam.com/video/FvGQH7zQYRc/w-d-xo.html
i have the old taeyoung from like 17-18 years ago , those have a hella stiff rubber but return to neutral super quick and are excellent for wavedashing and a taller shaft then the current taeyoung out now , the old taeyoung shaft also fits inside a myoungshin fanta , also i have the very first crown303 model from 14 years ago before the . ( new crown 303's 307 309 collar and Jpn version ) was even invented . the actuator on the first crown303 model is bigger then any of the current crowns , it only uses a rubber and its very very fast and it doesnt have that glass over the shaft . i think the older versions of these sticks are much better then their current new versions . i have the past and current versions of these sticks . This was back in the times when korean sticks were not on any websites to buy , the only way of getting them back then was if u knew some1 in korea
"And by the way, a crown Korean joystick is superior because it does not rely on a spring in order to spring back into neutral" - ok, so how do you know myoungshin is not using a rubber grommet too?

How did you fit the Taeyoung Fanta lever into the Razer Panthera?
Hi Ashenn, you have to drill out the hole and buy a couple of converters. I made a series of detailed tutorials: th-cam.com/play/PLnivzxftldZWFEih2FWau8Ak4Zd9yvZmU.html
I used a Hori RAP4 for the tutorials, but I basically did the same steps for the Razer Panthera.
Joseph Do I used your videos for my rap 4. It turned out awesome. Thank you so much!!!
Very informative noice vid~ Currently own a Razer Panthera though haven't gotten to changing the gate, nor buttons
The buttons of the Panthera are already Sanwa... you can't get much better than those ;P (unless you prefer other colors).
Did you drill the Razer Panthera before installing the Taeyoung Fanta? Hope u can answer my question 😁
Yes, you have to drill the Panthera otherwise it won't fit. If you don't want to do this, I would suggest getting a Crown stick with a JLF mount.
