  • Walking TouThe National Museum of the Philippines, a Trust of the Government, is an educational, scientific and cultural institution that acquires, documents, preserves, exhibits, and fosters scholarly study and public appreciation of works of art, specimens, and cultural and historical artifacts representative of the unique cultural heritage of the Filipino people and the natural history of the Philippines. It is mandated to establish, manage and develop museums comprising the National Museum Complex and the National Planetarium in Manila, as well as regional museums in key locations around the country.
    The National Museum of the Philippines manages and develops the national reference collections in the areas of cultural heritage (fine arts, anthropology, and archaeology) and natural history (botany, zoology, geology, and paleontology) and carries out permanent research programs in biodiversity, geological history, human origins, pre-historical and historical archaeology, maritime and underwater cultural heritage, ethnology, art history, and moveable and immoveable cultural properties.
    Admission to the museum is FREE

    There are three national museums in Manila
    1. National Museum of Anthropology
    2. National Museum of Natural History
    3. National Museum of Fine Arts
    The one on this video is the National Museum of Fine Arts you need to visit the other two as well.

    This is not in Ermita. It is in Taft Avenue near United Nations Ave. & Kalaw. Ermita is like 2 miles away from this museum.

      Sorry pero di ako based sa Pinas kaya di ko alam mag commute mula sa MOA. Di na kailangan ng vaccine card pero to be safe magdala ka na rin.

    Sana ang Senado bumalik nalang sa building na’to…mas dignified kesa sa bagong tinatayo nila na alam mong pagsasawaan lang. Tapos, yung Manila Post Office ginawang National Museum at nagtayo nalang ng mga addional annex classical structures kung nasaan yung pinaka pangit na nakaka-highblood tignan na Immigration Building at doon ilagay yung mga iba pang Natural History, etc para nasa isang lugar at convenient at complementary sa Esplanade.
