The only change that needs to be made to this build for strict Inferno farming is to replace ground stomp with war cry runed for extra resist. With that change this is a very well rounded inferno solo barb build. The title says inferno/hell for a reason. Making slight tweeks to this build depending on how far you are will be necessary, but overall, it works.
I have to say that this build is amazing! I was having issues with my Barb in Act 2 of Hell, but once I switched my build to this, I haven't had an issue what-so-ever! Great build man, keep up the great videos!
Dude this video helped me out so much, ur a legend, haha was just about to give up my barbarian after the thousands of times i died from those elites. Keep it up man
Awesome build! I went from getting as much +dmg in normal and nightmare and was getting stomped in hell. Made vitality a priority with strength a close second and followed this build and dominated hell like it was nightmare!
Oh my god thank you force, I used to think you needed to have one each of the different types of skills; now I realize you can pick and choose whichever 6 skills you want! Also, sick build btw, cheers.
Nice build, I can see its usefulness. I am no pro, but I really like having Rend with the healing rune. If I rend 4-5 targets thats is a good amount of incoming heals, not to mention the bleed on the targets. Its a decent fury dumper. Rend> Revenge> Rend> Revenge. What do you think about that? Also what bosses are you farming for loot? or are you clearing zones for Champ packs? I am a big fan keep up the good work!! -Grey
I'm using the build in Hell, and workes like a charm. Using the talent berserker rage is a good addition if your survivability is good and you want that extra damage, you dont use any Fury so its a perfect combination! Cheers and thc for the build!
you can choose to use your skills as you want to, its somerwhere in "options" and "gameplay" on the right side, its called "elective mode" and lets you assign your skills as you wish
Thanks for this video. After watching this, I modified my build but instead of Ignore Pain, I chose to stick with War Cry and Invigorate. I find Wrath of the Berserker with Thrive on Chaos pretty useful as it extends the amount of time I stay in Beserker. Also I prefer Boon of Bul-Kathos for the reduced CD. Pretty awesome build you got there nonetheless.
Go to your options, then to the gameplay tab, on the righthand side look for "Elective Mode" make sure that is checked. You can put any skill in any slot.
It's safe to say we want to see how each class can work on Inferno. The strategy and gear requirements for each difficulty get more important, and improvising might not work for all of us. Great stuff.
Great build! I've been using it for a few hours now and now I feel pretty tanky with my barb. Can't say I'm invulnerable, though, but it's quite fun to play with and effective. Thank you!
Force do you find it absolutely necessary to use a shield? Or do you think that there is a barbarian build that can work without it? ty for any of the help.
Usually gear is on a "On need" specific. If there's a special item set or named item that's part of it. Otherwise, it will be extremely hard to get the correct stat combinations. As a general rule for Barbs: Strength and Vitality are what you're looking for.
Hey Force, big time subscriber. This is my first post however. I've been trying to figure out an effective barb build for the past week now and your is very similar to mine. Quick question though: in order, what are the top three attributes you aim for in your build? Str, Vit, AS, Crit, etc.. Thx!
Even so, if the "All Resistance" applies to physical damage as well, it might be better to swap to that instead of ignore pain. Dunno, might just be preference.
I put together a build like this back when i started hell. I tweaked it a bit on inferno and its been doing me great. Its great to see you had a very close build to mine. I think I'll put back in stomp cause i do miss it. How do you feel about using war cry with impunity over ignore pain? I'd love to hear your thoughts on that.
I've been using a this setup, with some minor tweaks occasionally when need be, but most of the time I'm using the same setup. Would have been nice if you covered your stats, resist all seems necessary to have on all/most of our gear. Looking forward to the next D3 vid, peace.
Thanks Force, great stuff. Unfortunately I don't get much play time (work + kids), so these vids help me a lot. I can get to a successful build without the time consuming skill check. So thanks again :-)
Can you PM your build please? I'd also like to know how you itemize your character (I.e., what stats on gear to look for first str>vite>resists, etc.). Thanks.
What rune do you use for "Ignore pain"? I use the same build, exapt for Cleave with "Reaping swings" rune and then Whirlwind with "Wind Shear" rune :) I play with a wizzard, but I have a feeling I can play a stronger build, so I´m hopeing to figure how some better builds :)
same question, under every single diablo vid. If one can't read options in the game- please go and play on console;) You need to go to options-> gameplay and you'll find there one that allows you to pick your skills more (not sure now it goes in eng version of the game).
Hey man if you could maybe show you gear next time you do something like this that would be awesome also, do you think two one-handed weapons are better or a two handed weapon or maybe a shield and a one handed weapon?
force a question: why dont you use leap&iron impact instead of rush? i know that 8% heal is nice but +300% bonus armor for 4s is also great. the big difference here i see is the mechanics of these skills. in D3 there are a lot of AoE dmg (lasers, poison fog, lava pools...). so if you jump over them they dont do dmg to you but if you rush over them they do. right? (i didnt actually test this but it does make sense). so in this logic leap is better def skill that rush. what do you think?
I've been using Bash with Instigation, Hammer of the Ancients with Smash, Ignore Pain with Ignorance is Bliss, Threatening Shout with the movement speed slow, War Cry with extra resistances, Earthquake with no fury cost and lowered cool down, Superstition, Relentless and Bloodthirst. It works very well for me in solo and in parties, you just have to aim your Hammer effectively.
This was exactly my thinking. I use almost the exact same build only I swap Ground Stomp for Warcry + Impunity. I also change out superstition for either Boon of Bul'kathos or Relentless. Otherwise, this is a very solid build. Superstition is great if you don't have the proper resistances, but being able to activate Wrath of the Berserker more often is going to help you a lot in large fights.
God I can't wait til my new computer gets here. D3 looks so fucking incredible, I bought it, but my computer can't run it. ♥ Force, you tease me so good.
regarding the issue you raised around 3:00 with the Revenge skill runes: Having 30% chance to proc will also heal more because of the following: 15% chance to activate and heal for 8% / 30% to activate and heal for 5%. You activate twice as much which means that you also heal for 10%. Just math :D
I see you have the description on the spells, for example 'hits for 110% weapon damage'. I play a demon hunter and my spell descriptions don't have that. its just 'hits target with piercing arrow... blah blah blah'. Is there a setting to show the damage percentage in the options or is it just supposed to show?
nice vid man, ive been doing the exact same thing sept for the charge, i have a warcry on. but when i solo i will try the charge, didn't know there was a rune that healed for it. too bad you didn't show any inferno gameplay, this build dosn't really cut it, but im pretty sure its mostly a gear issue.
Force, I'm a big fan of your channel and all your videos and I just wanted to know if you had managed to use this build further than Act 1 Inferno since Hell and Inferno Act 1 are super easy. Let me know if you tried this in Act 2 at least.
Noob question: How do I get the info about the percentages to this or to that in the description of the skills? In my game I get to see only a vague description of the skills.. Or do I need to reach inferno first? Another thing, when I'm beating in mosters, only when I land a critical I see the amount of damnage I've dealt on top of the monster. How can I see everything like it shows in this video? Don't hate on the noobs, you were one once too xP
One build for dps is having four abilitys on cool down and VQ with zombie charger bears. and SW. so soul harvest, mass confusion, haunt for the armor, two others take your pick. long cool downs are a good thing to have with this build so you Regen of mana is trippled. I dont use any more manna gains though with the aoe stuff that youput on cooldown because Youwant survivability you will be fairly close to the mob compared to the other offensive abilitys.
If you don't mind I would love to hear your build and the stats you want on items, I've tried attack speed, dmg, armour, health, loads of things and nothing is working.
I'm on hell act I with my level 53 barbarian, and damn those champions rip the shit out of me within seconds. I'll try the build you have (minus the level 60 runes) and hopefully survive long enough. Thanks, just in time too.
I've been using the same skills with a few differences. First of all, earthquake instead of wrath of zerker because I'm pretty sure earthquake does tons more dmg and with a certain rune, the cool down is lowered to 105 seconds and costs no fury. Second weapon mastery adds a lot a dmg. third I use threatening shout, this dampens a lot of dmg while still allowing revenge to pop often.
Hey, Force! I just thought may be you'd interested in making also videos for other classes and farming strategies? I think everyone will appreciate them. Inferno is really hard without decent equip regardless of your build and its impossible to find any really useful guides.
Ok so you have an Item like 100 str 129 vit plus percentage to attack or speed of weapon you will end up getting some diminishing returns the more points in, but it will still help. after the dps barely increses with more of a stat you want to go for plus damage and plus speed. You will get more of a return on dps than more str but it is still helpful In inferno you would need to have res and int gives it aswell as the items spesifically for it. dextarity adds to dodge chance for barbarian.
Question: how do you have both furious charge and revenge active? You have the ability to select 2 might skills with no tactic still there...how did you do that?
What kind of stats do you need for this build to work in act3-4? Im using exact same build, i have 600-700 res 1k str 1k vit and 12k dmg and 600 loh(btw is it worth stacking it for a barb? i'v heard mixed opinions), yet im getting slaughtered by elites and big mob packs in act3. Starting to lose hope and interest in the game :P
30% revenge, frenzy +20% dmg, Charge w/ DN, leap w/ +300% armor, ignore pain w/ 7 sec (works well with 20% healing, too), shout w/ +res complimented by pound of flesh, tough as nails and nerves of steel. Works well.
This is my exact build except I run Frenzy with Smite and Furious Charge with Merciless Charge. As long as you hit 5 or more critters with FC you can immediately cast it again - which means you can zigzag back and forth to kill off packs and minions. That's plenty of ae dps which means you can socket a chance to stun on Frenzy - the chance is low but with a full stack and a couple pieces of attack speed gear you can almost stun lock single targets.
Good build, I'd recommend if your soloing inferno to use this build, that is if your a Tank! For noobs like me you want 400 all res (act 1) 600 all res (act 2) 800 (act 3) 1000 (act 4). Unfortunately I still use War Cry with Impunity to keep my all res up to par. Don't be afraid to reduce your strength and vital for more res, it will help out in the long run. At one point i had 1300+ strength and res and found that its not worth having that much if you just die to every elite.
Force, you have helped me much with my SC2 and now you help with my D3! You are the man! I love what you do so keep on doing it!
This vid was in my wach later for 7years it was very help full ty bro
I have to say that this build is amazing! I was having issues with my Barb in Act 2 of Hell, but once I switched my build to this, I haven't had an issue what-so-ever!
Great build man, keep up the great videos!
By far the best build I have tried. I am basically invincible, and put out tons of damage. Thanks!
Dude this video helped me out so much, ur a legend, haha was just about to give up my barbarian after the thousands of times i died from those elites. Keep it up man
Thanks so much ! Ive been able to plow act 1 inferno with this build, helped make my first million and found some GG monk gear to sell for alot.
I made the exact same build on the website before diablo 3 even came out.
Thanks for making my thoughts sure about my build.
Awesome build! I went from getting as much +dmg in normal and nightmare and was getting stomped in hell. Made vitality a priority with strength a close second and followed this build and dominated hell like it was nightmare!
I wanted to find a Barb build for hell and 45 minutes later Force posts a video of it. WIN!!!
Oh my god thank you force, I used to think you needed to have one each of the different types of skills; now I realize you can pick and choose whichever 6 skills you want!
Also, sick build btw, cheers.
Awesome build Force. I Love your Barbarian ^^. He looks sweet. That's sword and one-hander he's using right?
thanks so far this build has been working very well.

Thanks for build has worked so far well im at hell act 1 and progressing well!
nice build. i tried it out b/c hell was kicking my ass and it helps out a good bit. i can run through purples and golds now without dying.
big ups!!!
thanks for this build. I am using it right now on Hell act 2, sure is making things allot easier.

hey force, what do you use to record your screen? i use a mac and i would like to share my builds on diablo. thanks!
yeah i havnt played any of the other Diablo's and i friggin love it
Even so, if the "All Resistance" applies to physical damage as well, it might be better to swap to that instead of ignore pain. Dunno, might just be preference.
Tried it. Works. Have not tried inferno with this yet. Although instead of using furious charge, I pick either war cry or overpower.
Are you going to post your builds for the other playable classes?
epic video force thumbed up
after ending act 1 in hell i thoat i wont get further anymore but now its super eazy finishing act 3 soon
Thank you man, this worked absolutely brilliant for me! :)
You have to go into your options, keybindings I think and look for elective mode. It allows you to switch out skills that suit your play style.
Great build! Ive been trying it out. Would Rend work well in this build?
go to options>gameplay settings and check the box on far right i think that lets you change all the options on the interface bar.
In the video you can see that he's using a one-handed weapon and a shield, however it would be nice to see that, I totally agree with you.
I've been using a this setup, with some minor tweaks occasionally when need be, but most of the time I'm using the same setup. Would have been nice if you covered your stats, resist all seems necessary to have on all/most of our gear. Looking forward to the next D3 vid, peace.

THANKS MAN! ;D I couldn't even beat single mobs in the Fallen Star act, then I took a look at this vid, and now I can go on xD
Nice video, as always, Force ... could you show us your current gear?
Nice vid Force. Can you describe your gear setup in this vid as well?
Force, what attributes do you focus on gearwise? I'd love to know how much your resists are, versus your strength and vitality.
Can you PM your build please? I'd also like to know how you itemize your character (I.e., what stats on gear to look for first str>vite>resists, etc.). Thanks.
Yo FSG, what kind of stats do have? Str, vita, armor, resists? Would be a gr8 addon. :D
What rune do you use for "Ignore pain"?
I use the same build, exapt for Cleave with "Reaping swings" rune and then Whirlwind with "Wind Shear" rune :)
I play with a wizzard, but I have a feeling I can play a stronger build, so I´m hopeing to figure how some better builds :)
To use 2 spells from any particular category you go to "Options" > "Gameplay" and enable Elective skills i believe.
same question, under every single diablo vid. If one can't read options in the game- please go and play on console;)
You need to go to options-> gameplay and you'll find there one that allows you to pick your skills more (not sure now it goes in eng version of the game).
Why no War Cry with the Impunity rune? That 50% resistance is essential to survive inferno
Hey man if you could maybe show you gear next time you do something like this that would be awesome also, do you think two one-handed weapons are better or a two handed weapon or maybe a shield and a one handed weapon?
It's called Ellective Mode, it's Under Options>Gameplay, Last one in the interface Window
force will u be doing one of these videos for each class?
force a question: why dont you use leap&iron impact instead of rush? i know that 8% heal is nice but +300% bonus armor for 4s is also great.

i feel smert. i never realized you could use multiple skills at a time from the same grouping. Ty ForceSc2strategy
This is a very strong build indeed. thanks force!!
God I can't wait til my new computer gets here. D3 looks so fucking incredible, I bought it, but my computer can't run it. ♥ Force, you tease me so good.
I agree with other comments, Force, letting us see the gear you're comfortably clearing with would add a lot to this information.
Thanks alot Force! Will use this on my Barb! I think it will help me alot.
thank god they are toning down the difficulty ramp between act 1 and act 2 inferno.
Force, can you do other builds for the barb? like a good dps/tank hybrid build as well?
regarding the issue you raised around 3:00 with the Revenge skill runes:
Having 30% chance to proc will also heal more because of the following:
15% chance to activate and heal for 8% / 30% to activate and heal for 5%.

Could you go over you equipment and how you evaluate the stats // what gems you pref?
Noob question: How do I get the info about the percentages to this or to that in the description of the skills?

Dude, can you tell us what items you are using, and what you are focusing on, like vitality or dps?
Loved this! Would you have a build for Monk?
Turn on Elective Mode. It allows you to use whatever abilities you like on any key.
are you perhaps interested in doing a similar video for demon hunters or monks?
Luckly I have found a build where I can solo hell with my Monk. But this makes me want to play my Barb. Good job Force haha.
I'm on hell act I with my level 53 barbarian, and damn those champions rip the shit out of me within seconds. I'll try the build you have (minus the level 60 runes) and hopefully survive long enough. Thanks, just in time too.
This sounds very interesting. Can you please post your build and what you are building with your armor please?
Thanks for the tip this is a really awesome build
Are you also finding that the Enchantress is the strongest Barb companion?
I've been using the same skills with a few differences. First of all, earthquake instead of wrath of zerker because I'm pretty sure earthquake does tons more dmg and with a certain rune, the cool down is lowered to 105 seconds and costs no fury. Second weapon mastery adds a lot a dmg. third I use threatening shout, this dampens a lot of dmg while still allowing revenge to pop often.
Any chance you would be willing to share what sort of gear affixes you are focusing on?
Force can u tell us what type of stats u stack for this build? Without knowing this it be hard to tell if i can use this build or not.
Im curious as to how you gem your gear - vit or str?
Hey, Force! I just thought may be you'd interested in making also videos for other classes and farming strategies? I think everyone will appreciate them. Inferno is really hard without decent equip regardless of your build and its impossible to find any really useful guides.
Hay Force can you do Gear/Stat Builds as well?
how u feel about using dual shouts with battle rage and war cry with the runes to buff 40% or 30% armor and attack? i find it quite useful
This solo build for Hell and Inferno, is it viable for bosses as well or is there a separate build just for bosses on those difficulties?
i believe boosting up all resist and vit then str is important in that order, also a good shield is complmentary and lifesteal weapons
What stats do you take? Focus on vitality/str then like lifesteal, IAS and damage?
Ok so you have an Item like 100 str 129 vit plus percentage to attack or speed of weapon you will end up getting some diminishing returns the more points in, but it will still help. after the dps barely increses with more of a stat you want to go for plus damage and plus speed. how much dps and health have your babarian? nice Vid :)
Please do a video with your gear and what stats you are focusing on
Question: how do you have both furious charge and revenge active? You have the ability to select 2 might skills with no tactic still there...how did you do that?
What kind of stats do you need for this build to work in act3-4? Im using exact same build, i have 600-700 res 1k str 1k vit and 12k dmg and 600 loh(btw is it worth stacking it for a barb? i'v heard mixed opinions), yet im getting slaughtered by elites and big mob packs in act3.

30% revenge, frenzy +20% dmg, Charge w/ DN, leap w/ +300% armor, ignore pain w/ 7 sec (works well with 20% healing, too), shout w/ +res complimented by pound of flesh, tough as nails and nerves of steel. Works well.
