You want to tape the holes prior to drilling, it avoid the clear to raise and the metal shims to fly. Never use a cloth to wipe it, it will scratch the clear. use a blower
Bought for 374$, delivered it to germany with taxes and so on i payed finally 585€ in Germany. My Yellow Mustang are waiting for installation. Weather arent good now (Winter) and i want to get it on...i hope it will fit perfectly..
Put this spoiler on today, and I gotta tell you it was a pain in the butt. The right side middle hole was way off. I had to file it down a bunch so I could barely squeeze it in. It was a very scary process. The whole time I thought I was going to break it. I double checked the template and everything was set fine. I don’t know why it ended up like that.
I just tried to install this today and I drilled the holes exactly on the template. And the spoiler did NOT fit. Right and middle side fit fine, however the left side of the trunk did not line up with the 3 bolts on the spoiler. Now I’m frustrated that I have 3 useless holes on my trunk. Going to a local collision tomorrow morning and see if they get fix and install this thing for me, I’m not about to try and fix it myself
I installed this on my 2016. Followed the template, double and triple checking everything was lined up. After the install I noticed a small Maybe 1/8 of an inch gap across the bottom side where it meets the curve of the trunk lid. Is this normal? Or do I need to make some mods to my holes to move it up slightly. It's really hard to get a close up shot of that exact angle, and honestly if I wasn't such a perfectionist it would probably not be noticed by anyone else. Please tell me I'm not going crazy. I'm just afraid of making the holes larger and not being able to screw them down. Thanks.
Very nice Install and very cool spoiler...Im waiting for my Wife's 2018 GT Convertible in Orange fury with the performance pkg and all the other bells and whistles for performance, but ford deletes the rear spoiler on convertabiles ....Would this spoiler work on this vehicle and do what its supposed to do or would it would be just eye candy? thanx in advance....Claude

4 Holes for bolts, 1 for alignment pin....so why drill 9 holes?
It has 4 bolts for the nylon lock nuts 3 alignment pins and 2 plastic push in spread style clips on each end plus the tape...it ain’t going anywhere
