Without a doubt my favourite TH-camr. I don't look forward to any other creator's content the same way I do yours. Each video is absolute quality. Genuinely hope for you to gain a lot more recognition on here. You manage to out-do yourself each video. I can't wait to see what's next my dude!
Great paintwork dude. I honestly can't remember how I even stumbled accross your channel, but I am loving the nostalgia of seeing these old GW minis, so I have subbed for more.
Hashut! Bless you! This is the year of the Chorf! Painting my Blunderbusses while watching; my resolution is to finish all my tyrannical little buggers in 2024. Love the robe on the Sorcerer! Inspiring stuff!
Dude- amazing work, absolutely love it. Thank you for being so detailed with the how you did the horns. I always struggle with getting that blend to look halfway decent.
I do like your clean style of presenting. No messing around. "I paint this, then this, DONT LOOK AT THE EYES YET, then I finish with the beard. Great stuff.
Beautiful paint job. Really loving these chorf videos. They're such weird sculpts. It feels a lot like newer Warhammer takes itself too seriously. These odd wee fellas deserve better.
Beautifully done. I remember having to grapple with these old metal miniatures back in the 90's to the point of having to psyche myself up before constructing my classic Zombie Dragon and Wight Lord. Kids today won't know what we went through, chewing bits of dry superglue off our fingers and making them sore, haha.
A tip for gluing together larger metal minis: if the two halves of a body are hollow, you can fill it with green stuff. Once it's dry, drill and pin it through the green stuff on the inside, rather than pinning the metal. The glue should also hold better.
This is an amazing piece of work Deets. One thing that's been really interesting is watching your style coalesce as you started on here so soon into your painting journey. It's really getting pretty distinctive now! Everything is so vibrant! Also interesting seeing the influence of one model on another as you go. Would you have thought to paint that bottom lip that way on the Lamassu if you hadn't just done Gobbla??
Thanks so much my dude! 😊🙌 Haha yeah I do feel like I’m starting to develop a specific way of doing things! I definitely would have made that big old lip a different colour but I couldn’t think of anything but purple because it would match the blue tone of the black.
Pinning models like this gives me flash backs to the old metal old one eye model. That model looks great when it was done but oh lord talk about taking more work to build then paint
I collected Lammasu, Great Taurus and some Rocket launchers. This means my CD army for TOW is a possibility. With non GW infantry but with most iconic units like Render bullcentaurs I also have 6 of. Bad Dwarfs are the best.
Great job, Deets! Adding that extra rib detail was ace and I love the more poppy colour scheme. You’re not wrong about the work involved in building old minis(especially metal) , the kids these days don’t know they are born 😂🤝
Tip re sculpting putties - I find tamiya epoxy putty much easier to sculpt with - its a better consistency, dries harder and is sandable and is easily blended into surfaces, yet isn't grainy like milliput. Also, I find clay shapers to be awesome tools when sculpting - they're like brushes but with silicon tips to them. The best brand is royal sovereign, but even cheaper ones are still very helpful.
I have an extra backpiece with banner poles if you need it for that Sorc. The correct one with Lightning Bolts. Not the more common Taurus one found on the other character models.
Wow, really an epic job! It is easy to paint a cool looking model well, but to give this chunk life is masterclass. I tried painting up old whitemetal models, and they took forever and I never got the details down nearly as good and easy as with plastic or resin. I can envision what the sculptor intended, but to "make it so" really needs some better understanding of the matter, and good technique. This also really makes me want to build and model a Chaos Dwarf army of my own but reimagined with kitbashing and self printed...anyone got 1000€ ? ^^
I hope you get to do some of those updated forge world artillery pieces they did for the chorfs in the early 2010s, especially since they appeared in Total war so faithfully
your by far my favorite WH Channel on youtube. The way we match our preferences, when it comes to miniatures and paint jobs is almost perfect. How would you feel of creating your own color palette for a video, maybe trying to match the style of the 80s color schemes without relyiing on the box art? Anyways, great video, i will watch them all!
Thanks so much man! I really appreciate it! Sounds like you have great taste in minis 👌 I’ll definitely be painting up some original paint schemes in the future 😊 Thanks for the support!
Always wanted one, but never managed to acquire this, currently trying to build the chaos dwarf army child me always wanted, but could never afford via the joys of 3d printing :D Got to ask, exempting the pinning to the base, why didn't you drill and pin the model as well as glue? would definitely help with the wings in future! Absolutely glorious job with the painting!
Banner poles is something I do not even recommend using. They are very soft. I did not used mine and it was a good choice as mine is a gaming piece. Also epoxy is great tool to glue this together!
Super glue will hold these minis together just fine. You don't need to be using resin just because it's a fad. If you're seriously concerned pin it or add a bit of plasticard along the rim to add some physical connection points between the two halves.
Hello from Sweden! love your videos❤️ i have a box of systers of Avalon if you are interested myself i am looking for bretonnia you might have something to trade with?? best regards André...
That is the beat any Lammasu model has ever looked. I legitimately shouted "Woah!" When you showed the final product. Amazing work.
Same! What a paint job!
*best
Thanks mate! I appreciate it! 🍻
Absolutely sensational model , it's so goofy. Really embodies the oldworld charm.
Thanks so much dude! Glad you like it!
Love it!! Big hat Chaos Dwarves are the best!
Praise Hashut! Brilliant ... as always!
Praise Hashut! Thanks mate! 🍻

Thanks so much dude! I really appreciate it! I’m glad you’re enjoying the channel 😊
I love this video. Also I found a bunch of chaos dwarf models on thingaverse but I would rather have the official models.
I love all of the monsters that used to be in Warhammer 5th and earlier. Unicorns, Pegasus, llamasu, etc, fun stuff
Great paintwork dude. I honestly can't remember how I even stumbled accross your channel, but I am loving the nostalgia of seeing these old GW minis, so I have subbed for more.
Thanks so much mate and thank you for the support! I really appreciate it 🙌🍻🤝

Thanks mate! I’ve got a long way to go but I’m hoping to get a playable army together by the end of the year as well 👍 Good luck! Praise Hashut!
Love this mini, paint job and your infectious enthusiasm for chorfs!
Absolutly marvelous model! One of my all time favourites. And beautiful painted, I wish see him and Your Great Taurus side be side 😀

Loved watching you bring this together mate, terrific work!
Thanks mate!
Some stellar work, I love the retro painting style 🤘
Thanks so much my dude! Glad you like it! 🤝🍻
Great job, excellent tips for the reds on the Lammasu. 👍
Absolutely killed it 🥲
Looks fantastic! Congratulations on a paintjob well done!
What a miniature! Great work.
Very clean and old school paintjob!
Sick! Thank you for the detailed breakdown.
Praise Hashut! Bless you.
Great work as always. Your Chorf on Lammasu looks absolutely fantastic!

Great stuff.
Hopefully they bring the chaos dwarfs back to make to order for Old World. I think they are my favorite WH Fantasy aesthetic.
Yes! My favourite model from childhood. One day I'll pick one up and see if I can do it justice now. Fantastic work as always, love the style.
It’s a beauty and so much fun to paint, you’ll have a ball! Thanks dude! 🙌
Amazing work. It’s awesome to see these old minis get some love with newer techniques
Wonderful paintjob!!!

The LOTR Shelob in metal was almost thrown at the wall three times....those bloody legs!!
Oh, and I still chew superglue ...
One of my favourite miniatures ever. Short and curlies rule!
Always live to see more Chorfs get painted.
Finished result looks amazing, you've done a fantastic job on the muscles on the Lammasu itself, really striking!
This is very well done. An absolutely brilliant paint scheme. Makes me want to start a Chorf Army.
This is a bucket list piece for me. I've been looking for a good one for years. I'm stoked for you. Great job!
Awesome work on an awesome model!
Freaking awesome!
Amazing work! 🔥🔥🔥

My man with another great video!
It super nice. Well done sir 🎉
He looks so great in the 360! You did so well!
Thanks mate! Glad you like it 🙌🤝
Looks fantastic. Love the classic metal models.
Thanks mate! 🙌
Phenomenal as always, nothing beats the Big Hats
You've outdone yourself with this one and truly let this classic model shine.
Thanks dude! I appreciate it! 🍻🙌
I got one of these years ago new in box still in the plastic wrapping for a steal
You’re a lucky man! 🤌🙌
Lovely work as always!
Love this paint job Big D! You did the Lammasu all the justice it deserved! Did not envy how tough this guy looked to put together though 😅😅
Thanks mate! Haha it was an absolute pain 😂🥲
"A bee bit my bottom (lip)! Now my bottom (lip) is big!"
Great work mate, looks tops!
Ungodly great ❤
looking good thare likr em will tune in to more as do more
Love it. I really hope the Lammasu gets a rerelease
Love how vibrant he looks in the 360 at the end, amazing work!
Thanks dude! Glad you like it!
This feels like the right moment for this channel 😊
Thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed it! 😊

Thanks so much mate!
You should play Total War Warhammer.
masterful.
Final effect is fantastic! Love Your style.

Nice man! I’m still a bit far away from playing a game of TOW with my chaos dwarfs haha.
You really went all out, but it turned out great! Excellent job on this!
Thanks so much dude!
Love it !!!!!!
Thank you! 🙌
Great job, Deets! Adding that extra rib detail was ace and I love the more poppy colour scheme. You’re not wrong about the work involved in building old minis(especially metal) , the kids these days don’t know they are born 😂🤝
Thanks mate! Haha it’s a slog but nothing beats the feel of those old metal minis 😎🤝

Epic
Cool 👍
Thanks mate!
For the joint better than green stuff on uneven surfaces (fur, ...) use super glue with baking soda. It re enforce the glue joint and fill the gap.
Wow, really an epic job!

What's better than a Chorf sorcerer on Lamasu? Two of them! Now you need a second one with the Raging Heroes head swap, it's kewel beenz!
Haha I wish!
I'm surprised the chaos dwarfs didn't come back for old world
I hope you get to do some of those updated forge world artillery pieces they did for the chorfs in the early 2010s, especially since they appeared in Total war so faithfully
The epitome of the CHORF
Thanks dude! Glad you like it! 🍻

great one! however - what would you like to change if you were paint it again?
Banner poles is something I do not even recommend using. They are very soft. I did not used mine and it was a good choice as mine is a gaming piece. Also epoxy is great tool to glue this together!
Good to know! Thanks mate!
Any kit I do I always replace banner poles and other pieces like it with brass rod.
@@scottm9605I use harden steel pikes for historical minis like 10mm dire from Northstar minaitures.
Top notch work there my friend, excellent stuff. How do you keep getting your hands on these rare mini's?
So the epoxy is a stronger bond?
I have been holding off on some period dragon ogres because of the hollow where some limbs connect
Yeah it seems to hold a little better in my opinion. More tricky to work with but give it a go :)
Super glue will hold these minis together just fine. You don't need to be using resin just because it's a fad. If you're seriously concerned pin it or add a bit of plasticard along the rim to add some physical connection points between the two halves.
