Sounds like we have some haters. Shocker. She seems like she really knows who she is, and she likes the simple life. Sounds perfect to me. Rock on girl
What a beautiful place! It is the rainy season from May to October/ November. We love it. Yes, Panama has high humidity levels, depending on where you live. So does Durban in South Africa, or Toronto in summer. And many other places in the world. Just do your research and visit places to see if you can tolerate it.
Thank you Katie. My wife and I will be traveling to Torio and staying a week at an AirBnB next March. Our first time in the country. We are looking forward to experiencing everything Torio and surrounding areas have to offer. We are not making any formal plans as we want to just go with the flow. If there are any activities we should look for in early March let us know. Great video!
I was in Rio Hato last November. It was so humid, my contact lenses didnt bother me at all. Back in Canada I need to use eye drops constantly so I just stick to glasses. It was amazing clarity with the contacts. Everything is a trade off, I just had a few more Pina Coladas to counter the humidity. 👍😁👍
I think she said she came from Manchester. Very urban. I bet she equates tropics with 3rd world. I also bet her perspective and adjectives will change.
More unusual than, say, men? :) I've been a regenerative organic farmer in rural Nova Scotia, Canada, for the last decade, after having been a psychiatrist/psychotherapist in a big city for most of my career. Farming is not easy especially if one does all singlehandedly but it's doable. Growing big gardens with livestock partners to replenish the pasture and soil are the fun part while structure building and maintaining fence, and of course dealing with east coast Maritime winter aren't for the faint of heart. I aim to do something similar in a more temperate climate in not the too distant future in Panama.
Another Panamanian here, who loves her country to death. Panama is a third world country and the expats that think otherwise have not seeing the reality of what is going on for many Panamanians. It is a fantastic country but lets not pretend it is not 3rd world.
Katie, you did an excellent job describing Torio. My husband and I have been there and love it.

It looks so Beautiful there. I love the mountains and trees and not many people.

Enjoy your trip to Panama! You'll be AMAZED!
Love the rain in the background. Wish they would have acknowledged it and commented on how often it’s like that.
Rainy Season is December until April. Dry Season is the rest of the year.
Rainy season is July thru October Rains an hour or two mostly n the afternoons
@@ChrisJulyAdventuresDecember thru April is summer / dry season
Actually the reverse, I write that wrong 😔
@@ChrisJulyAdventures that's backwards
Lovely lot she got! I’d love a tour of it including the little buildings (casitas? Barns?) on the side
Lovely person, she sure seems happy and content.
Looks beautiful
Beautiful lady with awesome lifestyle choice.
Thank you for your video. Do you think a senior single woman who can be a little shy would be as successful as you as fitting in?
I am also a single female retiree. I was wondering the same. However this place looks like paradise.
Very interesting. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice. Good Vibe.
Katie, you are beautiful! Torio looks very nice. Love from Canada.
Thank you so much!
Nice.
What type of business ? So you have a Friendly Nations Visa ?
she has an online business
Good for u …woman power 💪🏻
I had to rewatch this cause of the rain.😅
How much for rent ???
Does anyone ever mention the infamous humidity levels in Panama?
It's the tropics so that comes with humidity. Humidity is great for your skin! If you don't like humidity, Arizona may be better for you.

No, they just assume that since it's in the tropic it would be understood.
It's the air that hugs you! =)

Guys I’m from vacamonte, Panamá oeste and I can tell that describe panama as a third world country is factual.
Jesusgirl, pray a lot. Go make your country better but don't be blind.
Please do that region again with a more neutral person. I like the "3rd world" there. Out at 5:49

So serious question. You left a 1st world country for a third world country. Why?
@@yoyomorena much better lifestyle!
@@yoyomorena it's not 3rd world in Panama. Life is much better in Panama.
"1st world country" = totalitarian government
That's unusual to find a woman who actually likes the countryside. She is going to eventually move to the City.

Sounds like you have limited experience with women.
👀Yea, misspoke for sure. Panama is definitely not a third world country....Panama is a high income economy with a history of low inflation.
@@auraleewolfe1632 which means?
@@adolfogomez5556she should not refer to Panama as 3rd World country!!!
Panamenian here, panama is a third world country and to let that tag get under one’ skin is beyond ridiculous, facts don’t care about people feelings
Just like in Cuba, blackout, no potable water, potholes on every road, even in the city. If that doesn't define third world, then what is?
