It's astonishing that it's even possible to make a list of 20 different mods, all of them total conversions. Mount&Blade is one of those games you buy not just because of the base game but also for its mods, like the Elder Scrolls series.
Yea, I'm positively surprised how many modders decide to pour their heart and soul into these projects without any monetary compensation, just out of passion. Especially in times where game development is more accessible than ever before (ue5) and people could also just make their own game instead. Gotta like what you do!
Anno Domini & Gekokujo were my all time favourite mods in Warband. I cannot wait for their counterparts to come out fully in Bannerlords. Same goes for the GOT & LOTR conversion mods.
Mount and Warcraft will be re released in the next couple weeks with all of azeroth and outland. It will be alpha with only scourge, humans, orcs, trolls and elves somewhat finished but vrykul will be playable and of course getting dwarves tauren etc with custom map assets back in will be a high priority moving forward from there.
Wow! I saw "20 mods" and the time stamp of 11 and a quarter minutes and was dubious. But you did a great job giving a hook for each mod, appropriate and riveting video that felt like a 3min review for each. Bravo!
because some of the people making these mods are like the characters in GoT, or partly even worse, I don't know the full story and have also only partly notice what was going on but there was a clash between the mods that was going from one person from one of the mods, and it was a real shit show, I'm happy that I was not Part of it and that we don't have these Problems XD

@@daldan66 I had hoped at least one mod would NOT be set during the AGOT time, but during the Blackfyre rebellion, Aegon's Conquest or even the Dance of Dragons. So many interesting scenarios and we get the one that's been done already
I like the idea of Story/Campaign mode where you follow the story of a character, like Kingdom of Arda and Burning Empires will have. Sometimes you want to play Mount & Blade, but don't want to bother grinding/farming/recruiting etc...
There needs to be a mod that makes the campaign worth playing. I’ve about 700 hours in BL and beyond the battles there’s really not that much to it, but the potential is insane.
Looking forward to all of the historical mods (especially Shokuho, Gekokujo got so many hours from me), Three Kingdoms, and the LotR one. Straight up, the *sole* reason I was confident in buying Bannerlord was because I knew that whether it was disappointing or not, the mods would be out of this world. Can't wait to be able to pour hundreds of hours into each one!
unfortunately, most will be canceled. Big mod names can be canceled as well. Most overhauls right now have no unique mechanics. Just simply 3d assets. This is a main reason most are being delayed or if they release, they'll just be native bannerlord with troop overhauls.
I'm excited for Realm of Thrones and AWOIAF. I refuse to play Trial of the Seven Kingdoms, cause that mod creator steals content from other modders, refuses to give them credit for it, and also spams hate messages on other GoT mod pages to try and shut them down so his is the only one. He's horribly toxic. Goes by KingintheNorth.
Awesome video man! I’m a long time mount and blade player but unfortunately had to wait for the bannerlord console release because my computer died a while back. I’m loving the game but I really hope they take some of these super polished mods and turn them into DLC for console. Atleast one of them would be cool. I just subscribed 😊
i got this game few days back, fucking thing is addictive as hell, charging into battle with my level 5 axe like a beast.. chopping down people like im cutting trees does not get old LOL i just wish i could controll a larger army at the moment and just power crush everyting in my path.. 155 troops just aint enough :P .. reminds me of total war.. so far im loving it.
The thing is: Today you don´t simply make a game. You make the foundations, a proper game on its own, and then you give as many opportunities to modders as you can. Then your game will develop into this: So many different games all with levels of detail noone would´ve imagined before.
Trial of the Seven Kingdoms has "Functioning dragon mounts" on their roadmap under "post release plans". trialofthesevenkingdoms.com/ The Realm of Thrones devs are also trying to look into the possibility to add dragon mounts (according to their Discord). AWOIAF: no current plans to implement dragons
Since _Napoleonic Wars_ is a DLC, I'd say my favorite total conversion mod was Gekokujo. Swinging that naginata around like an inkarnation of Bishamon, makes me feel like an anime character. Good times! So I'm mostly looking forward to the Sengoku one.
how many mod for multiplayer are able to be used right now apart bannerlord online and crpg? there are 2 more interesting overhauls forgotten realms (fantasy) and hyborian age (conan story inspirted), i cant find any vid about them do you have try those 2 mod yet?
I keep my hope that there is a Bannerlord to Warband total conversion to give us the world of warband in the engine and new calradia of Bannerlord. Warbands world will always keep a soft spot for me and while i can keep playing it i have a curiosity to see what it would be like in the updated world
One word: Gekokujo! The mod that put you in ancient Japan in Mount and Blade 1. It was absolutely amazing. Mods were more fun than the base game. Can’t wait for the mods on mount and blade banner lord. I just hope the ai gets a bit smarter.

They simply fail to create the proper code to make their mod good. Notice that The Old Realms already released because they have both 3d assets and good code. The majority of others are simply waiting for other modders to invent something so that they can come in and scoop it for themselves. This is fact btw. I know someone with first hand insider knowledge. They're helping about 4 big mod groups currently. A few are covered in this video.
Separatist crisis. a Star Wars adaptation where Clones and Jedi are two seperate teams and not one massive company xD Technically following the inhibitor chip ark it sort of makes them mercenaries so i guess it is fair for them to be seperate as first they serve as soldiers for jedi then military officers and trainers for the sith. But i expected something like clones and jedi to be same faction and at one point of gameplay a prompt show up "The chancellor declared the activation of Oder 66" followed by "Clones have betrayed the Jedi and joined Sith"
Game of thrones would be the best to experience the feeling of the world, stark and co , be so cool to relive the battle of the bastards , or Lord of the rings for the battle for helms deep and all the many other siege battles we all know and love .
that's the only thing the developer actually achieved to give the modders a sandbox to turn at their own liking. Well after all it is good but no one of this mods are actually out and I don't know how much time before we will see one of them. I totally understand but what they have a achieve is far beyond what the developer did in so many years of production
I’m sorry but bannerlord seems like the perfect example of over hyped modding, I’ve seen many games with overly ambitious mods with promises everyone wishes they can keep and none of them have produced any meaningful total conversions mods bar a couple. The modding tools just aren’t there and it’s a classic case of an amazingly ambitious road map that the moders just can’t accomplish and it sucks to see everyone in the comments being excited because there’s a 99% chance bannerlord mods will be a disappointment.

I really just wanna create some wars with the most famous warriors from each region regardless of time. Vikings, Mongols, knights, spartans, etc... A viking vs mongol war would be amazing.
in Mount And Blade 1 was a mod that mashed time and nations, like aliens could fight roman solders, it was very fun and had a lot of stuff from swords magic and creatures, to blasters and tanks. I looked like complete madness but it was ridiculously fun. unfortunately i do not remember the name

Maybe have the stats tweaked a little just so they're all competitive still instead of certain older warriors with weaker metals automatically losing to the most modern ones.
Personal opinion: we need mythical creatures. flying creatures, water creatures, rideable flying creatures, battle dogs, rideable wolfes, elephants, giants, dragons etc.

I tried Perisno multiple times and holy shit it is somehow less balanced than Pendor.

If you want something like that in the base game then the mod cultured start allows you to skip the early game

Yea. Outside of combat anything else felt point less and way too slow. Maybe thats just me but blood is the only way i ever got anywhere.
Now that the workshop is out it opens up alot of creators to get their mods out there
