I've always said this is the Singing Cookes best album! I guess that's why I have it. Has 3 of their biggest hits on first side all in a row as well as a solid cover of the Stanley Brothers song Mothers at rest.
The Cookes should re-issue this album on cd because it would be a great seller on the product table. This record of mine has endured, as their song says.. "many hills & many valleys" but still sounds great! Had a minor skip on Victory Is Sweet and I cleaned and cleaned until it smoothed out. Sometimes we think a record has a scratch that causes a skip when in fact it is just some dirt or material clinging to the groove of the vinyl.

Love goes on just another hill
You know there's so many singers out there today and they bless our souls and help us and worship to God through their beautiful beautiful music but this group The Cook singers well there's something about them it's special so that it's different I can feel it in my soul when I hear them sing there's a sincerity there's a love for God there's a reaching out to others they aren't The real McCoy I would love to hear them live but I just listen to them that's as far as I can get. You hear about so many singers and groups that are just for the fame in the money and they want to be number one but when someone comes out and really worships God with all of their heart and soul you can tell the difference and that's how I feel about the Cook family I can feel the difference in my soul God bless you folks. I don't know if you're still singing I know you celebrated 50 years some while ago but whether you're past present or future you got a hold of my attention and I feel the Holy Spirit through your music thank you and God bless you

I am from Seven Springs , N.C. I used to be playing guitar with different part time southern gospel groups. I also went to a lot of gospel concerts with a great line up my favorites. You see that was eastern North Carolina was saturated with gospel concerts. You could go most anywhere and find a gospel sing in those days the years was the late 70's and 80's. I do miss those days.

I've been listening to this Cooke Family for years . I never get tired of them . They're much blessed by our Lord God Jesus. Amen
They are as great of people as they are of singers. All the family are great friends to me. It doesn’t matter where they’re playing or how big the crowd is, they always make time for conversation with friends, and Momma Cooke always calls me out during her part and thanks us for being there. What amazing people. I wish there were more in the world like them.
