All these beautiful gospel songs brings back my childhood memories. Momma was always playing the Cookes on a tape, radio or however she could very inspirational. It was importance for Daddy & Momma to have us listen to something worth listening to…. @ 54 years Obviously It worked. I still seek out all the old gospel music, it has so much feeling of Gods love in. You can feel it in words!! I absolutely loved to hear my daddy sing with mynand momma solo! Praise God! Keep doing Gods work!

Man. It's been YEARS since I have heard this group. I got saved in 1987 in a small North Carolina Church of God. Over the years I have had so many Gospels Cassettes. This was one of them. Like so many, you leaned them out and never get them back. I thank you so much for posting this. I needed this tonight. I really did.

Love this album and "Lonesome Feeling." "The Hey Boys" was written by Herb at a moments notice from Doug Dillard. He wrote 2 versions of it, he said. I've yet to hear the other one though. I've got so many albums with Herb on them: Emmylou; Desert Rose Band. ad infinitum

My mom used to sing some of their songs in church and pop Cooke could write them mama songs hear him sing them was like chewing gum it never lost it's flavor but him and my mom both are with Jesus now 😢

I remember my grandparents had all their albums when I was a kid in the 70s.

I drove all the way from New Jersey to North Carolina to see Mike play 3 songs for a Shriners benefit. It was worth the drive. Also saw him at the Philly Folk festival 25th anniversary and again at a high school. Loved watching him play. Georgia Mae just blows me away every time.
