- Tool Time - Quality Chinese Lathe Overview
This is a quick video to capture for posterity the really nice Chinese lathe that we acquired with the Precision Machining Workshop batch of gear recently. Dad has spent some time cleaning and checking through, and this showed its class very quickly. The machine is solid, and mounted on a heavy cast iron base, certainly much better than the cheaper end of the market we are used to seeing!
Thanks for watching - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
Sweet machine! Thanks for sharing it with us.
My pleasure! Thanks for checking it out and letting us know mate
Nice tool, congrats
Yes, thanks
I heard you might have another lathe video coming up in the future, looking forward to it! 🙂
Very much so! Next one will be a complete refresh on a Unimat 3 lathe and mill combo, including retrofitting CNC capability to the lathe! If you haven’t yet seen it, check out my AL960B playlist!
A very nice lathe Marcus...
it's quite a beast for sure :-)
It looks bloody nice!
If i hadn't picked up a hercus 9 i would have taken it i reckon! The hercus is a bit worn (but I've not looked at it closely yet) and I've no charts for metric/imperial gearing, though I do have both gear sets.
Nice machine anyway, good score for someone!!
I much prefer the chuck mount too!!!!
Nice steady too!
Looks similar to a Taiwanese lathe I used to have.
I want lathe machine
I have an older version of this CO630 Lathe from built in 1981, I can't get the change gear off the lathe to change it from the 127 tooth to a different one, I tried a gear puller, tapping with a hammer, put some heat on it. Nothing seems to work. Anyone know if there is a trick to it? The other gears came off fine. Thank you
I’m afraid I do not know, good luck with finding the solution
Nice lathe, too bad it’s moving on. Cheers
What brand an model number is the lathe??
That’s a great question, will need to check out the documents, but it wasn’t from “the usual suspects”
2245. Wow.
she fairly winds up hey!
What is the name or fabricate of the Maschine. Thx
made in china C0630A
No clutch for threading
Not for my money. Lathe chuck bolts are just a cheap mini lathe sales gimmick.
She was pretty cheap tho
Good Chinese rubbish 😂👍🏼
