I just received ours and I must say it's a brilliant piece of design, engineering, and construction. Removing the nozzle was a challenge even after watching the video, I'm 70 and my hands aren't as strong as they were, so I had to wait for our son to drop by to remove the nozzle. I did use it to blow out the garage before my sone arrived and I could almost just leave the Stubby Nozzel on all the time. I have 5 amp batteries and I didn't have any handling issues, but a neighbor has their small 2.5 amp battery that is half the weight, and that's the right combination of weight, balance, and power. so I may go but a 2.5 amp battery for car use.

Just picked up a ego 765 blower. It's unbelievable how much power it has. Just waiting on my stubby attachment. Drying a vehicle will be so much simpler now.

The Ego looks even better without the Nozzle

Thanks for that review. I want to get that stubby but Im not a fan on the latching mechanism. First,, it looks hard to remove it. It would be a superior product if it uses the same latching system ego nozzle. Second, I feel in the long run, the nubs that keep the nozzle in place will flatten out each time you install and remove the nozzle.

Idk what brand I got but my stubby nozzle looks like a factory attachment. It has the little green button on the side to unhook it and it fits perfectly. Actually fits better than the stock nozzle it came with.

Excellent video Brando! Thanks for pointing out exactly how the internal latch mechanism works. This is common question we get and your video does a great job showing exactly how the stubby nozzle attaches to the EGO blower. Do you mind if we share this video on our product page? Thanks for ordering from Stubby Nozzle Co.!

I am right handed so I feel it is missing a left hand grip location. I like blowers with two grips. Easy to move and hold for yard work and car cleaning. Less work on one arm. Left hand now just sort of has to hold onto the body.

Ego has a battery backpack that you can wear to take the weight away from the tool. Seems to be an excellent way to make all their tools lighter

Looks great thanks for the review! Drying with a shorter nozzle is sooo much better, great review! As the owner of an AP1 s2000 love your car. 😎

What are your long term thoughts on this nozzle? How has it held up?

Sorry for my ignorance, but how is this better than just using the blower without any nozzle? Just removing the long one and drying the car with no attachment seems like it would do the same job.

Thanks for the review. Just wondering if it will make any difference drying without using any attachment tubes?

I’m glad it’s super hard to get off because I don’t want the damn thing falling off on the car… LOL

Any tips on the drying process with one of these. I bought a 615cfm model for this very purpose. I’ve used it twice and feel like I could do a better job at being more efficient with it when drying my mustang

Hey Bryan. One of the best ways to make drying more efficient is to protect your paint with something slick, like ceramic or graphene, which makes it hard for the water to stick to the surface.
After that I like to start from the top down, just as you would when rinsing the car, but make sure not to spend too much time on the large surface areas as you'll use up a lot of battery time. Vertical panels are the easiest to dry quickly.
Another advantage to blow drying is having forced air to push water out from hard to reach areas like wheels, door handles, windows cowls, etc. so focus on those after you've gotten a decent amount off of the other panels. Then you can follow up with a drying towel for any excess.
