About 10 years ago I was working with a guy who kept getting bouts of gout. He'd have to take time off and I'd be picking up the load. One time after he had been off for 2 weeks he was back in the office and he was legit apologizing to me and thanked me for backing him up. We began chatting and he was saying that he wished he knew what was causing it as he was doing exactly what the doctor was telling him to do and he had cut out all the stuff that caused gout. So I asked hi if he had cut out fructose and he looked at me like I was crazy. I showed him a video I had watched a few months earlier about what fructose does in the body and it's link to uric acid production. He watched it on lunch and came back to me asking a whole bunch of questions. I told him that there was no harm in at least trying and seeing what happened but if he was happy to always be in pain then don't do anything and just live like that. So I basically told him no fruit and NO food with high fructose corn syrup and that he will HAVE to read labels. He did it and I was on vacation the following week so it was about 2 weeks from when he started to when I saw him next. The first thing he did was give me a hug and tell me that for the first time in years he had spent 2 full days in ZERO pain. None. He told me it had been hard but he felt so much better that it was worth it to him. Of course his wife and doctor were going on and on about how unhealthy it was to not eat fruit but he told them that he'd rather die young pain free than live a long life in agony. He kept it up for years until he unfortunately died of cancer. but his gout was cured at least.

There are pesticides inside the fruits and cannot be washed out. The fruit dealers add it to the water for the fruit tree. And if the maximum of amount of pesticide A is reached, they will add B. Furthermore I heard from a colleague that many of them overdose, and go above the officially allowed amounts. For example by spraying in the evening.
There is a book, Drop Acid, by a doctor David Perlmutter about uric acid and gout. Humans lost the gene to make urokinase about 2 million years ago. Urokinase is the enzyme that breaks down uric acid in most other animals. So we easily increase our uric acid. Uric acid is used in the liver to metabolize fructose and now ethanol. He explains there is a theory that losing this gene allowed humans to better over-eat fruit before the winter for extra calories and provided an advantage versus humans with the gene. It kinda makes sense, but it's just a theory.

Question in own interest: I'm on off ketovore (for about a year) and experience muscle and eye twitching just like Lillie Kane. I salt a lot. Tried some Magnesium. Still got the problem :( (Also Libido is a little reduced in comparison to my vegetarian bulking-times)
Thank you so much for this timely message. I have been adding just a tiny bit of fruit to my carnivore diet and I couldn’t figure out why I was so triggered to eat more. Your explanation about how fructose affects our body made it all so clear. Thank you for your help!
I grow my own apples, pears and plums, as well as strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. No pesticides, 100% organic. That's the only thing I'll ever have on the side as a snack for my carnivore. I also think pineapple should be fairly safe -90% of lab tests show no trace amounts even.
Thanks Max for providing so much information in this video. I like how you get to the point and don’t fill your time with a bunch of “noise” as is evident with so many carnivore influencers and educators. I really appreciate you getting your points across in such a succinct and clear manner.
last time i recognize that when i was carnivore and i sit almost entire day i wasn't stiff. now when i'm eating sugar after hours sitting i'm stiff and even fell small pain in my legs when i stand up from chair. someone notice the same?
Same. In fact, the tissue in my knee tore for no reason except that, as the doctor informed me, my joint tissue was all broken down and my joints were "bone on bone". That was 6 years ago. In 2022, I had excruciating joint pain in my rear end (sacroilliac) that was so bad that even the thought of moving would set off muscle spasms that were more painful than childbirth. I went keto April 2024. Joint pain GONE. Except a tiny bit in my hand if I am sitting a long time and holding my phone. Or in my feet when I stand up in the morning after eating fruit at bedtime.
As someone who's almost become diabetic, this is helpful information! For the past 2 weeks I've been eliminating high glycemic carbs like white bread, white rice, and all sweets. I've been essentially doing the Paleo diet, so I've continued to eat fruit, but i do notice when I eat fruit with meat, it does keep me hungry than if I only ate the meat. Most vegetables give me gas so I don't consume most of them. I ate a bison steak yesterday, and was satiated for almost 5 hours. I felt consistent energy. Then I ate a small snack: an orange with some pecans. The pecans probably slowed down the orange's digestion, but I still felt this spike in energy. Then an hour later I felt a little drained and fatigued. I knew it was because the sugar in the orange. Perhaps Carnivore is one of the best ways to eat, especially as a pre-diabetic.
Paul Saladino did that? He is a sugar addict disguised as an expert. Because he does not eat a donut does not mean he is eating correctly. He claims everyone needs 300 grams of fruit sugar a day to "not die". such BS.

not always true. I've tasted crabapples before that were sweet and actually had a decent size to them. It varies year to year and also of course you have to find them when they're ripe...
The word 'Doctor'' is derived from the Latin word “docere,” which means “to teach.”. You are teaching us about health. You are a literal Doctor.. Dr. Max.
Literally the entire point of carnivore/keto is to be in ketosis (which gives the constant energy, weight loss and almost all other benefits), but when you eat sugary fruit you are thrown out of ketosis and you turn back into a cаrb junkie that just eats more meat than most other people, but who still runs on glucose nonetheless.
But long term ketosis leads to hypothyroidism and other hormonal un balance due to stress hormones involved. Same happened to Saladino, he also over trains on top of all this. You can be animal based, eat lots of meat(not fully cooked), fat, and some hydrating fruits. Salt, and fully cooked meat turns you into sugar addict, not raw meat and fruits. It takes time, but you will see.
@@desmomotodesmomoto2033 you’re right. People are so trapped and brain washed by the idea that fruits are bad for you. What tool bags. Our body has something called “insulin” and “blood glucose level”. Doesn’t it make sense it has been designed to help the body utilise glucose molecules for many functions in the body? People only eating meat will ultra crave carbs and they will become sugar junkies because they’ll relapse majorly.
if you're on keto diet, as long you eat animal saturated fat you'll be fine. 50-60 % fat of your calories is enough (it has to be raw of or not too cooked) because your brain will thrive on glucose produced from fats through neoglucogenesis
That is false. The entire point of carnivore/keto is for the body to oxidize the appropriate source of fuel, which are fatty acids from animal sources. It is indicated to eat one meal a day and in that one sitting eat enough animal protein to get a bump in insulin that signals to the kidneys to hold on to electrolytes, that's what these Saladidon'tknows usually don't do hence why they get cramps / have to supplement with electrolytes / go back to eating carbs.
How about honey? I always feel good for a while, but then i get spacey.. its like i am having a slight anxiety attack constantly, and olaying sports, that is just not possible for me. I lose awareness of the playing field and my own coordination feels awkward. I still feel kind of euphoric as i always do in ketosis, but i ate a teaspoon of honey, and instantly all bad symptoms disappeared. I do not get hungry at all anymore and honey makes no differenxe for hunger for me. Should i keep doing it, or am i then losing the building fat adaptation? My leg muscles especially get faster tired on carnivore, while i normally my muscles never get tired when playing hockey, now my legs guve out before my breath.. which is the opposite of how it normally is. Any info on these problems?
I did try Paul Saladino’s approach to animal based diet by eating fruit and honey, because I did have some heart palpitations on fully ketogenic carnivore diet. I didn’t feel as well as on lion carnivore diet, and the heart palpitations didn’t go fully away. Sure it tasted good (for a moment - honey started tasting bad to me after half a year) but didn’t make me feel my best. After I switched back to not eating fruit and honey my heart palpitations went away. I guess my body needed time to adjust. I also blame the oxylates. I have no proof, but I did eat a lot of almonds at some point. A few years ago I was feeling quite achy and out of sorts. I think I needed time to clear the oxylates out of my system. Now I’ve been doing just meat, butter and eggs for the past 20 months and I feel more energetic and optimistic about life than for the past 30 years.
Had that happen to me just today , I've been carnivore for 4 weeks and after breakfast I eat a orange ,i was hungry all day long afterwards and didn't know why , now I know
I eat Greek yogurt and berries nearly every day, guacamole on most days, but I'm otherwise carnivore. I've been trying honey, but I think it spikes my BS too much, but I still have a dab here and there. I was pretty hard carnivore for the 6 months prior, and keto for about 4 years. I maintain my appetite/weight (lost 120lbs) and I feel great with the fruit, and I also sleep really well (also another main reason I left pure carni). It works for me, and I think I'll cycle fruit/yogurt cycles with pure carnivore when I want to lose weight. I currently have about 50g of carbs per day.
Dude you nailed this subject, you explained this very well! 👍 Thing with fruit is you couldn't survive on fruit in the wild, imagine chasing an animal for its meat on fruit fuel, the stuff is like alcohol it burns up quick, you would burn out before you even threw your spear!
I was wondering and searching on this very question for the past few months as I've been experimenting around with my optimal diet. Most veggies are intolerable to me because of gut dysbiosis and liver toxicity. And I have adrenal exhaustion, and so I got into the habit of having fruit at bedtime for the past few months.
It depends on how metabolically out of whack a person is to start with. Took me over a year to be fully fat adapted, but I was previously very sick and transitioned slowly via going Keto before Carnivore
Paul Saladino is wrong. You do not need to eat fruits to live healthy and thrive. I used to listen to him until I watched him on a video saying that too many carbohydrates don’t cause insulin resistance. I don’t know how people who defend Saladino can justify him saying that too many carbohydrates don’t cause insulin resistance insulin resistance, unless they have been listening to vegans instead of real science.
@ That was on another video. I watched him saying exactly that too many carbohydrates don’t cause insulin resistance. There are a few videos of him saying it differentl ways. I stopped listening to him after he said that too many carbohydrates don’t cause insulin resistance. Anyway, too many fruits can cause insulin resistance. They are full of carbohydrates and one of them is fructose which many scientists say is the worse form of carbohydrates.
Carbohydrates (insulin) not only block satiety (leptin), but also fat metabolism, so that 100% of the fat is stored while you are in glucose metabolism. 😉
@ I am not a native English speaker, but I get your point. The thing is that satiety also is not leptin. Satiety is a feeling and leptin is a hormone. That are 2 different terms which have a tight conjunction, but they are not the same.
10:06 . The fructosamine test is used to estimate blood sugar levels over the previous few weeks, mainly by measuring glycated protein, primarily albumin. This test provides an average of blood glucose levels over the past 2 to 3 months, with more recent glucose levels having the most significant impact on the result.
hi i hope you can understand that as long we are consuming food in whole form regardless of Fat , carb or Protein , we will reap all the benefits from these macronutrients and have healthy metabolism. The problem only starts to come in when we are consuming these macronutrients in ultra process form where the natural state of the food has been removed and artificial chemical being added in that gradually destroy the metabolic pathway of human body which eventually lead to all the chronic disease.
On a pure carnivore diet, my appetite increases tremendously, I am always hungry, and then my blood sugar will spike like crazy if I eat ribeye or sirloin bc most animal are fed with grains here. So it's not a good option for me. Eating poultry or fish wont do that to me. (450 days of carnivore diet)
I will keep eating fruit, but i will have a open mind and listen to the entire video. For me, no fruit = shit sleep, feel weak, tired. even with good protein:fat ratio, fat adapt, electrolytes/sodium you name it. :) Do what works for you!
I'm one of the people that eat a lot of full fat Greek yogurt (with live cultures) on the carnivore diet. And I eat a lot of it every day like at least half a kilo (1200 pounds). Works well for me, but I come from the lowlands in Europe where people have 60%-80% chance to have the lactuse tolerant gene. So keep that in mind, many people are lactose intolerant and don't thrive on it at all. So you have to test for yourself, if you introduce Greek yogurt then see how the body reacts to it.
@TheOne-pv4rz I seem to be ok with it already eating it half a kg a day also haha thanks for the answer just curious why I haven't seen many ppl on carnivore also doing it but your answer makes sense
Dairy is perfectly fine on carnivore. I eat full fat yogurt (Greek and otherwise). Dairy consumption should be controlled though. It's very easy to stall or even put on weight using it, depending on how much you ingest. I use dairy more as a nice treat around dinner time, like a dessert, and usually not every day. As long as you are doing fine with it, keep doing what you're doing. :)
It isnt a problem. I am full carnivore amd dairy products as milk, greek yoghurt full fat and some cheese. Tribe ppl eat meat, and take milk and blood and they know how to ferment it to cheese. If you dont have problems wirh dairy eat the yoghurt it is very healthy for your guts and the high fat is also good for the cholesterol. Butter i use a kilo per person per week. I eat pork, beef, deer and also some chicken, drink organic raw milk, but once in a while a organic apple doesnt give me problems. In europe the law for organic are very strict.
I have seen and heard other people saying, not eating certain amount of cabs along with their high protein and grease diet seems to lower their testosterone levels. I am interested on hearing your comments on this regard please.
Since the new year full carnivore except for today. Great reminder to stay carnivore. I’ve noticed it in Chinese food today didn’t taste as good as I thought it would..
Note that, in the study mentioned, it's "low carbohydrate, " not "no carbohydrate." And the former could certainly include a small amount of fruit. Fanaticism is also something to watch for. There may be people who benefit from a zero plant lifestyle, but I'm not one of them, as far as I can tell. I've tried strict carnivore, and not so strict, and notice no difference in the way I feel or my body fat composition. I'm probably not the only one.

in the late summer i found one of those crab apple trees (natural wild apple). they are smaller & less sweet. so i ate a few. first one tasted nice then after the 3rd one my mouth started having a light tingling sensation & they just got too bitter so i spit it out. after that i didnt crave any fruit for days. so when we eat modern day artificially selected sugar loaded fruit like bananas & watermelons of course we will enjoy them due to the dopamine. but these are not natural food, they’re man made. best to have an occasional sugary cheat meal and eat majority meat diet.

Insulin blocks leptin. Wow. Thanks Max. I have been eating about 10 grams of dark chocolate after dinner. The feeling of fullness goes away right after and I figured it was because I actually didn't eat enough. Now I know what the problem is, so thanks again.
@@jeffslim9518 You mean, like a heroin addict being unable to do "just a little" heroin, or an alcoholic having to abstain from alcohol completely, is merely "an issue of self control"? Issue is that sugar, and carbohydrates in general, cause chemically-based addiction akin to hard drugs. Once you had gotten addicted (and 90% of people in the western world are addicted), you need to abstain COMPLETELY.

After six months of pure carnivore, I added a single banana per day. This prevents the fluctuations in my heart. Not every body is the same. The advantage of the carnivore lifestyle is that you can easily try things out. That single banana gives me more balance.
Hey Max, your video quality is improving so much as of recent, good to see fellow kiwis doing some good mahi. Carnivore was instrumental for me so I don’t doubt how much it helps others. It’s the first diet/way of eating that gave me hope after getting diagnosed with Ankylosing spondylitis in 2023 so I owe a lot to this community for giving me my agency back. The fact is carnivore simply wasn’t cutting it for me anymore pain wise and I was beginning to develop digestive issues I’ve never previously had. I tried many variations you mentioned, lion diet, no eggs, no dairy etc. I think it’s important for people to keep an open mind and to use your intuition to guide you. I’m not commenting here to rip on carnivores by any means, but there can be many benefits to carbohydrates looking from a bioenergetic perspective in terms of energy production and hormonal standpoint. All I ask is for people to experiment without dogmatism. Keep it up bro.

@@imageword5576 haven't he been surfing for years before switching to high-sugar diet? maybe it's the combination, i don't think a fruit diet can age him as fast as it looks, and maybe something else is going on too.. lots of fruitarians eats more fruits than him, and altho' they do look older it didn't happen as fast as Paul... the difference between Paul and fruitarians is the honey tho', so maybe honey is aging more than fruits?
Let's say he was missing something that he obtained from fruit, perhaps electrolytes (since fruit has no vitamins that meat would lack). That would imply that whatever meat he was consuming was deficient in those nutrients and that he could have simply eaten something else instead to fix it. Fish have lots of magnesium and potassium, as an example. Why would you go to fruit, which we all know contains something that is not good for your body to consume in large quantities (fructose), instead of address the problem another way? What Paul does for himself is his own concern, but when giving advice to others, particularly carb addicts, telling them that they can eat fruit is not wise. Not everyone is as physically active as he is, or has the same discipline. It's very easy to slide back into sugar addiction when you are presented with a "natural" and "healthy" version of it.
Fruit was/is a bandaid fix. Paul was not eating enough protein within a small enough eating window to bump insulin enough to maintain proper electrolyte balance. His kidneys were leaky. So he turned to fruit to spike his insulin. And now he is on 300-400 grams of fructose and glucose a day. There is no way this would have been ancestrally sustainable. Paul also ate too beef liver and may have suffered from copper overload and carbs would have relieved symptons of the associated hypervitaminosis. You may have noticed how Paul gradually reduced his liver consumption to a small bite a day. He still needs to shill for organs though because he wants to sell you organ supplements.
Saladino has many "reasons" for why carnivore/keto is bad, but he never considers that he probably wasn't consuming enough fat. I had that problem. When I increased my fat intake (and had to decrease protein a bit to accommodate), things got better. I'm still taking sodium supplements 3.5 years in though. I tried the fruit thing and just wasn't feeling as good after a few months, so eliminated it back out.
I had to find out he was wrong the hard way. After 4 weeks adding fruit and honey I would get shaky when I would go four or five hours without it. I also gained seven pounds. I also started getting joint and muscle pains again which was the reason I went Carnivore in the first place. I had to just stop and go back to meat, eggs, and butter only. Funny I started carnivore six years ago because of Paul, he was meat only then?
I try to respond to as many comments as possible. I usually respond to comments about 2-3 days after the video has gone out. The only time I don’t respond to comments is when I don’t have time. Some of the videos take me 40+ hours to make.
@max.german Appreciate that, Max! If that's true, I take it back. I went back to your last vid and didn't see any responses from you. There was another some time ago, the same. But if you generally do, otherwise, I stand corrected. Thanks!
I do not agree with this video. I did strict carnivore for six months (beef, eggs and water). I felt miserable (no energy at all), went down to 5% body fat, my cholesterol skyrocketed to over 800 and my triglycerides to 250. Went to my doctor (who's a paleo guy) and changed a bit my diet. I still eat about 900/1000 grams of meat a day, but I introduced some vegetables, a few low glycemic fruits, avocados, cassava, etc. And guess what, cholesterol dropped brutally (ok cholesterol is good, but not at the levels I had) and my triglycerides went down to 43. And I feel much better and my workouts are of another level. I don't know whether you believe in God... but in Genesis 9:3 He said "Every moving animal that is alive may serve as food for you. Just as I gave you the green vegetation, I give them all to you." So the better diet for humans is meat and vegetables as suggested by our Creator.
Got to say, I'm not buying the whole thing that modern fruits are up to100 times more sugar than natural fruits. They EVOLVED to make animals desire them to move their seeds around. No agriculture needed for them to develop this way. Granted there wouldn't be any seedless ones . I've eaten wild paw paws, native to East Coast North america. They were never industrialized. Got to say they're one of the sweetest fruits I've ever eaten. Wild Black berries. Less sweet but still tasty when ripe. Wild Mulberries, which I've never even heard of or seen fore sale in any store, are RIDICULOUSLY sweet.
I dont know man, when looking at the human anatomy we are clearly designed to eat fruit - from our eyes to our intestines to the shape of our teeth and mouth. I'm not saying you should exclusively eat any food group, I just think you're doing fruit a disservice. Especially when taking into consideration that a lot of the research that's done on fructose is done on high fructose corn syrup and not actual fruit with fiber and water. To me it makes sense to go on fasts, eat clean fruit (no chemicals or pestisides) and naturally raised chicken and beef. I dont know where this weird aversion to fruit comes from, on average I'd say fruit are by far the food group that makes most amount of sense to eat. You're quoting some research papers but disregarding all the other research papers that show the benefits of eating fruit. I'd say it's good to cycle between being fat adapted and eating primarily natural protein and fat sources to being primarily glucose based which the body runs on naturally. All scientists and doctors know that naturally our brains and bodies work with glucose and before humans started cooking food our main source of glucose came from fruit. So instead of picking and choosing research papers that suit your ideology, why not look at the broader research papers, how do people eat and live in the "blue zones" of the world, look at our own anatomy and come to a more general view on health and wellness. Just my two cents, Of course do whatever works for you
Our brains require a minimal amount of glucose that our body produces naturally on its own. Fruits don't contain any essential vitamins or minerals that cannot be obtained through other sources like dairy or meat. The aversion to fruit comes from the dangers of fructose, which we know is not good for the human body.
@@cynicist8114but this is the point, this standpoint is based on research consuming corn syrup and raw fructose in certain forms. This cannot be mistaken by fruits that contain fiber and glucose, not just a watery bag of water and fructose. Generally if you think about sustainability we have evolved in a way that eating only meat isn’t sustainable, especially for that many people. I have said it multiple times and saying it again, complete carnivore diet is becoming almost a cult just like hard veganism where people channel their narrow point of view into researches that base their standpoints. Our major problem is refined sugar, carbohydrates and bad quality oils mainly. Certainly not fruits and vegetables.
If I have to take my chances with any fruit or veg at all I would definitely do so with vegetables not fruit, as per a well formulated keto diet. I find the plant wanting you to eat it's fruit argument very unpersuasive. I would not want the higher sugar bomb, the glycation, acid reflux, bloating, onset of diabetes, rotting teeth or rotting fruit in the fridge for that matter! Chugging down pressed concentrated fruit juices is absurd. Mr Saladino can get away with it for now while he is metabolically healthy, still surfing for hours and all the rest of his exercise regime. Most people on carnivore are trying to get well!
Fruit never brought me pleasure, it was something I ate when meat was not available. Why would anyone WANT to eat them? I will never ever buy fruit from a store.
I don't think it has to be all or nothing. Paul has definitely lost the plot a bit. But there is a big difference between an occasional handful of berries and going face first into huge bowls of tropical fruits with honey daily like Paul does. The things you are saying are true but I really don't think a few berries are harmful. I don't think any self respecting cave person would have turned down some ripe berries. This would have varied by location and season though. The problem with our fruit consumption is that we eat like there is a hard winter coming up 365 days a year
I have to eat some carbs, I tried 100% carnivore but was losing weight, for the 90% population that turn into fatties, losing weight is great but for those of us that have been thin all our lives losing is not that great. It only takes less than 75 gm of added carbs and my weight does good.

We have two natural fruits in Michigan. Paw Paws, and Dew berries. July and August. If you are a bear, you should eat a lot of these. Funny, they were my two favorite fruits. I could pick them wild, eat them off a tree or bush. Fuck, how much could you eat, not much. No more cravings for those, at least they weren't manmade, or full of pesticides. Alright, there are mulberries on a tree, but if it grows too large, you can't reach them. It's bird food, people. Stop stealing the bird and bear food, people.

Berries here in UK only grow naturally in autumn, which maybe suggests we only used to eat them to fatten ourselves up for winter.
Something we never did. The body naturally fattens for Winter, due to less sunlight/melatonin.

I also think pineapple should be fairly safe -90% of lab tests show no trace amounts even.

great video, very informative!!
Thank you
Thanks Max for providing so much information in this video. I like how you get to the point and don’t fill your time with a bunch of “noise” as is evident with so many carnivore influencers and educators. I really appreciate you getting your points across in such a succinct and clear manner.
Fantastic video!!!!! Thank you 🙏🏻
last time i recognize that when i was carnivore and i sit almost entire day i wasn't stiff. now when i'm eating sugar after hours sitting i'm stiff and even fell small pain in my legs when i stand up from chair. someone notice the same?
When I went off carnivore once for nostalgia reasons, I immediately noticed stiffness and pain throughout my body. Never again.

I would like more info on ways to avoid elevated BP and cholesterol while consuming mostly beef. Any info would be appreciated.
@@desmomotodesmomoto2033 where did you get all that mis information?
That is false. The entire point of carnivore/keto is for the body to oxidize the appropriate source of fuel, which are fatty acids from animal sources. It is indicated to eat one meal a day and in that one sitting eat enough animal protein to get a bump in insulin that signals to the kidneys to hold on to electrolytes, that's what these Saladidon'tknows usually don't do hence why they get cramps / have to supplement with electrolytes / go back to eating carbs.

Good stuff Max. Thank you
Had that happen to me just today , I've been carnivore for 4 weeks and after breakfast I eat a orange ,i was hungry all day long afterwards and didn't know why , now I know
I eat Greek yogurt and berries nearly every day, guacamole on most days, but I'm otherwise carnivore.
Thing with fruit is you couldn't survive on fruit in the wild, imagine chasing an animal for its meat on
fruit fuel, the stuff is like alcohol it burns up quick, you would burn out before you even threw your spear!
I was wondering and searching on this very question for the past few months as I've been experimenting around with my optimal diet. Most veggies are intolerable to me because of gut dysbiosis and liver toxicity. And I have adrenal exhaustion, and so I got into the habit of having fruit at bedtime for the past few months.
how long does it take to become fat adapted?
4-16weeks
It depends on how metabolically out of whack a person is to start with. Took me over a year to be fully fat adapted, but I was previously very sick and transitioned slowly via going Keto before Carnivore
Fat adaptation isn't real. The moment you re-introduce carbs you go back to burning them.
@ why would you re-introduce carbs???

Paul Saladino is wrong. You do not need to eat fruits to live healthy and thrive. I used to listen to him until I watched him on a video saying that too many carbohydrates don’t cause insulin resistance. I don’t know how people who defend Saladino can justify him saying that too many carbohydrates don’t cause insulin resistance insulin resistance, unless they have been listening to vegans instead of real science.
Sugar reverses insulin resistance. Just do some basic research.
he said fruits don't cause insulin resistance, not carbs
@ That was on another video. I watched him saying exactly that too many carbohydrates don’t cause insulin resistance. There are a few videos of him saying it differentl ways. I stopped listening to him after he said that too many carbohydrates don’t cause insulin resistance. Anyway, too many fruits can cause insulin resistance. They are full of carbohydrates and one of them is fructose which many scientists say is the worse form of carbohydrates.
Well, he was vegan once...
Carbohydrates (insulin) not only block satiety (leptin), but also fat metabolism, so that 100% of the fat is stored while you are in glucose metabolism. 😉
"Carbohydrates (i.e. insulin)"
You need to reword that. You are saying that insulin is carbohydrates.
When you are not eatiing human food you are also fucking up your hormones which can make you hungry, depressed and all kind of things.
@ I am not a native English speaker, but I get your point. The thing is that satiety also is not leptin. Satiety is a feeling and leptin is a hormone. That are 2 different terms which have a tight conjunction, but they are not the same.
This makes zero sense and its also not true
@ Then please be so friendly and correct me. Thanks.

Hey max question is Greek yogurt ok on carnivore being dairy I've always wondered never seen many carnivores eat it?
In my understanding it's the fructose which makes the blood lipids sticky and harmful for the blood vessels

How do you get vitamin C on a carnivore diet?

in the late summer i found one of those crab apple trees (natural wild apple). they are smaller & less sweet. so i ate a few. first one tasted nice then after the 3rd one my mouth started having a light tingling sensation & they just got too bitter so i spit it out. after that i didnt crave any fruit for days. so when we eat modern day artificially selected sugar loaded fruit like bananas & watermelons of course we will enjoy them due to the dopamine. but these are not natural food, they’re man made. best to have an occasional sugary cheat meal and eat majority meat diet.

1:05 This is what Paul Saladino is experiencing on a daily basis 😊
(and ageing him fast)
it's more likely the hours of sun and salt water that are drying his skin out.
I get the spike with raw milk. Its a rare treat for me though.
Paul ate no fruit = had health problems
Started eating fruit = health problems resolved
How is he wrong?
@@brojoe4919for how long was he strict carnivore? Do you know maybe

His reasons are probably all green. Nothing to sell if you eliminate plants

Thank you young man. Great video. Carnivore is the proper human diet. William
Cheers William. I appreciate the support mate.
Yep he is! Goeke is absolutely guest you need to have on
I dont know man, when looking at the human anatomy we are clearly designed to eat fruit - from our eyes to our intestines to the shape of our teeth and mouth. Just my two cents, Of course do whatever works for you
Fruits you eat are not real fruit, but hybrids based on sugar sweetness, just eat foods that existed 20,000 yrs ago.
Interesting narrative you're pushing 🤔
Id like to see you eat real apples that make ur tongue tingly at the second apple😂
Tried to add blueberries, instant dermatitis
It only takes less than 75 gm of added carbs and my weight does good.
debate saladino then, you won't. he would clock you on this issue.
Please say that coffee is ok. I can't live without it. Carnivore for two years. Just meat, beef, lamb and eggs. Sometimes bacon.
he made a video about coffee, he didn't say it's "ok", or maybe a little bit ;) because he ended the video with excuses about why he drinks it anyway even tho' it's not ok
Dr. Judy Cho made a video about his bloods. Until he make a video about that then. I wont consider adding fruits
