This Is the actual use of TH-cam instead of making bullshit videos about making pranks and roasting someone criticizing someone making these kind of videos will encourage the new generation… well hats off to you bro
You sir are what this world needs more of!!! Great job my friend! I cant belive your tenacity. 3000 LED's...dude...you soldered 3000 LED'S....3000!!!!! I wish I had your focus....but I dont and thats why I watch your videos...lol. Looking forward to your next project!
No. It's a step backwards. It is very inefficient and expensive. Even stand-alone photodiodes, which are 10 times better than LEDs, or transistors with an exposed housing, were not good in an emergency solution either. For a miniature photovoltaic system, buy a polycrystalline or monocrystalline panel and you have more energy production for significantly less money.
It's great when someone actually goes ahead and builds something instead of just giving theories and drawings, you've just got yourself another subscriber. 😎
First I thought that this is the worst idea ever. Way too big cost (money and time) to do something that is quite cheap these days. But you mentioned at the end that this was an experiment and you learned that it does not make practical sense. And that was the moment when you earned my respect. You had an idea, you made it in real life and checked by yourself if it makes sense or not. That's the spirit and a way I love ♥️
Even though LEDs and solar cells are principally inversely similar,… like microphones or speaker, optimization of design for specific respective applications is still paramount to their practical utilization.
The honest conclusion in the end supprised me. Accually I'm already used to fakes about energy production on TH-cam this much... that's kinda sad. So thanks for your honesty, I guess.
Thank you for the hardwork bro once I connected a few leds and tested the same thought of upscaling and making a solar panel. Now I know it's not enough of power.
Make every week something new...bro..I was waiting to see your new video for long .... When I saw your new video I was so happy that it is going to something new for me to understand...
I love it. Can you make a follow up video that upgrades this design? Maybe use a magnifying fresnel lens sheet and maybe test if having a sheet to magnify sun light increase output and if it does, how about checking if having multiple layer lens improves it.
@@terraint3697 it may also have another advantage like it can convert the full moon light into certain voltage. Or using a setup of reflecting mirrors with a hole for entering the light photons.?
For the next time try placing down a lot of photodiodes or phototransistors. Their PN junctions are more sensitive to light than to current. In case of regular LED when its poles are polarized the potential diference in the junction forces electrons to jump off the junction emitting the light and thus creating a flow of electrons (current). Photodiodes works exactly the oposite, when photons come through the PN junction, its created a small potential difference which will push the electrons away creating current.
I used this same principle in a calibration lab when they were trying to figure out how to calibrate a strobe light. I told them that an LED has a small photovoltaic effect. We hooked an LED up to our digital counter and shined the strobe onto it. It worked like a charm !!! I was very proud of myself.
"Is it a good idea to build one? Absolutely not." Your honesty in experimenting to get knowledge out is very commendable. Plenty of other channels would have called this "zero-point energy" or something ridiculous and hailed it as an energy solution for the future.
Led price vs solar cell Led price vs ready made solar cell price The output of the mono solar cell produce more power than led and its cheaper than led😂😂😂
Found your video out of nowhere. Got my respect and subscription! Question: how much did it cost to build vs how much is the solar panel you showed by the end? Thank you!
I wish you would've used the IR LEDs as they are plentiful in used remote controls around the world. Also, why not incorporate fresnel lenses from old projection TVs and see how much the output increases? I feel like you spent a lot of time doing something nobody else would really want to replicate. You make great videos, but I hope you spend a little more time on the concepts.
this is an excelent idea! today, we have to do something with SDGs for the earth environment so,i think it is able to make the environment better and better
First video of yours I have seen and I am amazed at your dedication. Wonderful video and am looking forward on seeing more of them. Thank you for your time and dedication.
Very cool best sci project I've ever seen great Ideo for pre stored electricity could charge a few 8.5 9v batteries through the day love this video gonna try this
That was really cool.

Love You From The Bottom Of My Heart❤️
How has no one noticed this comment
Shocked Seeing JRE commenting for an indian TH-camr. JRE is awesome.
Omg JRE Commented on his video!!
O man. He is putting a lot of efforts. He is a guy who never fails my expectations.
The white LED is really a blue with phosphorus, so that is why it's output is similar to blue?
Man this video had no meaning.. he just made it to promote pcbway.
He should use Indian products rather than those shitty pcbway PCBs
Ha bhai
This fun experiment
This madlad spent 3 days soldering LEDs. You have a lot of patience.
No use
The guy has crazy determination...im jelouse..lol
hahahhahaa
That's slow
He could’ve made smaller boards and dipped them into liquid solder, easily soldering everything in seconds
This Is the actual use of TH-cam instead of making bullshit videos about making pranks and roasting someone criticizing someone making these kind of videos will encourage the new generation… well hats off to you bro
Whenever i feel down because of the tomorrow test. There's always that one Indian guy who always backed me up

Morgan said "I love you 3000" that's why
I can imagine the efforts you put to make this video,
I liked it😊
I like that idea of comparing power generated between the types of LEDs
me too
Me too
I loved that video so much.
The value is not in the electricity, it's in the learning process.
Thanks so much for sharing.
I never knew LEDs could work this way.
Yep they do, but leds are much more efficient emmitimg light than making electricity from the light so nobody uses them as a solar panel
When I was a kid I used a headphone speaker as microphone in a project.
Also solar panels light up.
Neither did the one who gave a thumb down. Nice work and ideal.
I've known this for quite some time and I even got to try it out.
The 4:20 minutes of this video is same like the phone time 😂😂
Good observation

Bro I had never seen a guy doing this much of hard work. hands off
Dude, I really appreciate all the hard work you put behind a video.
I have to admit this was fun to watch and Learn from. Thank you for doing this experiment.
Even though LEDs and solar cells are principally inversely similar,… like microphones or speaker, optimization of design for specific respective applications is still paramount to their practical utilization.
I would like to see a solar panel lighting
@@bpyr2je5 oh,.. it totally works,.. it’s just not really bright, and probably not all too good for the solar panel.
Humbled that some ppl are so creative and hard working.
Single comment - you are really innovative and can apply technology in proper way . Admire this. Wish you all the best.
Oh man, thats the most unviable project I've ever seem. But it's still pretty nice and interesting. Thumbs up

Hi
wow fracnzoil here too
Well he did acknowledge that at the end 🤷
I still don't understand why this guy has only a million subs... you clearly deserve more
"Is it worth it? ... absolutely not. " ... I threw my phone in anger
Good joke tho🤣
Throw your dictionary too.

Good Job! Even if everyone know it, no one has done it. Thank you !
Next, I want you to make the sensor of the camera with LED.
in a way it looks like an art piece. everything needs patience and interest 🙌🏻
Thank you for testing the various colors - saved me so much time
Don't get disappointed, your efforts still educated us.. keep trying bro..
I see some potential there to make a panel the stores power in the daylight and emits light at night.
Like every garden light lol
aaron tole xd
We call that a daylight sensor in the real world... k? Don’t fret u can get it in creative mode :)
“potential” ha ;)
Like a regular more efficient and cheap solar (photovoltaic) panel?
Now this is the content I want. TH-cam finally gave me a good video.
Thank you for the hardwork bro once I connected a few leds and tested the same thought of upscaling and making a solar panel. Now I know it's not enough of power.
Wow...I can't believe it!
The yellow ones works very well
I wanted to make a solar panel using LED. You've helped me by this video.
I tried this a decade ago with IR LEDs and got good results, as well!
It is worked

Nice work bro. 👍
This type of project saves people's time. People know that this project will not work and they do not try it themselves.
I love it. Can you make a follow up video that upgrades this design? Maybe use a magnifying fresnel lens sheet and maybe test if having a sheet to magnify sun light increase output and if it does, how about checking if having multiple layer lens improves it.
Nice try...!😂😂😎
It totally does. More heat is more amperage. Also you'll get some more voltage too. Best setup is a parabolic trough mirror
@@terraint3697 it may also have another advantage like it can convert the full moon light into certain voltage. Or using a setup of reflecting mirrors with a hole for entering the light photons.?
Very interesting. Had no idea that an led was capable of doing this.
I watch all these but never make them.😂😂

Our Pm Modi does the same thing like you guys..high promises for the nation but does not gives a rat ass about anything 🤪🤪🤪🤪😂😂

Perfect :D video time 4:20 and 4:20 on the phone screen too :D
This guy is freking genius not just his ideas but good quality videos ❤️
This is too cool! What a great concept, this must have taking you forever to do. I like how you don't recommend building the solar panel.
for future projects with crazy amount of soldering, you can use a solder screen and a heat gun and take 3 days of work and turn it into 1 hour.
That was the Most Interesting Video I've Ever Seen. 😄
Next level creativity

great experiment dude ✨✨
the white LED is actually a blue or UV led with a fosphor coating that glows, that's why not much energy is created.

The reason is that IR Leds have a lower "band gap" so will produce a lower voltage
Imma try this rn now it sounds cheap too
