Wow , feel so lucky to have come across this . 1st Foxygen , then The Growlers , now this ...I'm starting to feel like Kexp is my cool older brother , who keeps giving me great mixtapes .
I love getting into a band a bit late, coming to search for the trusty KEXP sesh, and finding my gal CHERYL hosting it! She's always digging the music I like too and usually has them on. Ugh, when Domenic said "we love you," to her I melted 🥰 Love you so hard, Cheryl + Nothing.
I have discovered the KEXP channel only recently, and i'm very pleased to discover honest grunge bands like the ones that i used to follow when i was young in the '90s. There is still hope on this earth for people who use guitars and distorters at full throttle.
When Guilty of Everything first dropped, I couldn’t fucking believe how great this band is. Tired of tomorrow was such a beautiful follow up. These guys are the best
The comments section in their first performance on KEXP is horrible! Nice to see people have realised what good music is. Also I think this performance was definitely mixed more appropriately. Awesome performance as usual.
Stop beating these dudes skills down Go put a bad together and get on this station twice And then talk your shit. Go listen to Periphery if u want tech and reverb I'll be under the eL at church if u need me
Awesome band and great album but vocals need to be better live. Lacked at Denver show too. Some reverb and maybe some doubling would lift them a bit. Solid drummer.
yeah, I loooove their new record and their sound in general but I can't help but feel like that performance was very apathetic. The guitarist with the black strat needs to use his diaphragm more and hit/hold those pitches. Instrumentally it was great though.
Definitely agree with you, instrumentally it's sound, but the vocals are very lacking. I also think if they mixed the vocals lower in the mix and added a substantial amount of reverb, it would've been more how they intend to sound. But they would probably have to hire a sound engineer from Run for Cover to properly mix shoegaze lol.
they did hire a "run for cover" vet to mix this record! will yip produced it. but yeah, i agree. they're just a band that doesn't really try to be good or anything and just kinda does, which is cool
Oh my bad dude, I meant for this kexp session haha. I actually love the record, and think its produced extremely well.. Just always a bummer that their live performances never have the same effect as their records.
Definitely more of a blend of Slowdive and My Bloody Valentine. But there is much 90s alternative sound shoved into this band's sound it's hard to tell 'sometimes' (MBV pun intended).
Bardo Morales i was going to argue your point, which is in fact trash but then i realized that if i had a name like bardo fucking morales id be a bitter hater as well
Maybe my favorite band of my “middle-adult-age” era. It’s reflected lots of my deepest feelings. I love em.
Wow , feel so lucky to have come across this . 1st Foxygen , then The Growlers , now this ...I'm starting to feel like Kexp is my cool older brother , who keeps giving me great mixtapes .
Yes, KEXP is the best. It's where I discovered The War on Drugs, Bully, and So Pitted. What's next??
thou, the best band ever
Check out allah las on kexp
The app is great for late night mixes too
tired of tomorrow’s one of the greatest albums of all time
yeah love it
So true

Shout out to Audio Engineer: Kevin Suggs. He always does a great job on the audio mix.
For sure he done did nicely.
Amen! The mix is ALWAYS on point
Kevin Suggs what?
Lol... "I'm excited to have nothing live on KEXP"
@Ming Li Not only that...it throws Alexa for a loop. Alexa, play the band Nothing. *crickets* Truly is a dumb name for recogntion.
@@awolsurf-TC because bands pick their names thinking in Alexa, of course...
@linglingzhang7191It’s a great name.
@ling ling zhang Learn to query better, kid. I found them first try with two words.
@linglingzhang7191 "Nothing band" and done
I have discovered the KEXP channel only recently, and i'm very pleased to discover honest grunge bands like the ones that i used to follow when i was young in the '90s.
There is still hope on this earth for people who use guitars and distorters at full throttle.
lmao
A bit late but i think nothing is a shoegaze band although i do understand the grunge sound
fever queen is such a great song, and cheryl is love
vocals need way more reverb
Cheryl is such a nice person!
Andrew she seems so. She's always really excited about everything and Nothing in this case.
i love that woman
bear sets fire I know it’s been two years, but I just wanted to let you know that I saw what you did there.
A music angel.
Truly.
I saw them open for AFI more than once!! They're sick live. .
Wow this band fuckin rules... I’ve been sleeping on them way too long
When Guilty of Everything first dropped, I couldn’t fucking believe how great this band is. Tired of tomorrow was such a beautiful follow up. These guys are the best
This band is incredible. Hope they come to Colombia someday.
such a fantastic band!
Yes! Been following these guys for a while now and stoked to see them on here
All my mind is taken by Nothing!!
The comments section in their first performance on KEXP is horrible! Nice to see people have realised what good music is. Also I think this performance was definitely mixed more appropriately. Awesome performance as usual.
21:22 the cutest thank you ever
Eaten by worms...the beginning...goose bumps.
Can’t wait to see these guys next Wednesday in OKC!
The 2nd song remind me of Minerva by Deftones
I LOVE YOU CHERYL WATERS :D
Stop beating these dudes skills down
Go put a bad together and get on this station twice
And then talk your shit.
Go listen to Periphery if u want tech and reverb
I'll be under the eL at church if u need me
Amen
day, made. thank you
I feel stupid for not having listened to these guys earlier damn.
YES
I had no idea Steve Nash played drums.
I see grunge made its way back to Seattle!! makes me think of a supergroup between Nirvana and Radiohead.
They're heavily influenced by Slowdive, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, and Starflyer 59. In some of their songs you can hear a little MBV as well.
I hear something like Dinosaur jr too...but I like it!
@@markservilio2357 If they're not into Codeine, I'd be surprised.
I love these guys, they basically play stripped down grunge... fantastic sound.
that isn't nick. nice try tho
Turning Point t-shirt, nice!!
Love the guitar
9:29 Vertigo Flowers
16:00 was he gonna say whirr?? Hahaha
que banda mas wena csm!!! Saludos desde Chile!
Lonely bedroom creations I daily forget
amazing
wheres nick
muito bom
Cannot wait to see them!
omg that is good
Los amo.
Sounds like a clash between brand new and dinosaur jr.
anyone else think of New York I Love You when listening to the first track?
Awesome band and great album but vocals need to be better live. Lacked at Denver show too. Some reverb and maybe some doubling would lift them a bit. Solid drummer.
G O D L I K E
You can’t say no to Turning Point.
They're gonna have to step up their vocal abilities, seeing as they don't really want to be a shoegaze band anymore.
thats the truth
yeah, I loooove their new record and their sound in general but I can't help but feel like that performance was very apathetic. The guitarist with the black strat needs to use his diaphragm more and hit/hold those pitches. Instrumentally it was great though.

Reminds me of Failure and Nirvana.
Great band, they were fucked up lol. Props to the drummer for a solid back beat
is that a left-handed drummer? don't see that very often...
You've never seen Ian Paice?!
Left handed drummers rejoice!
Охрененные чуваки!
Nothing to see here 🤩
Where's Nick Bassett?
nothing is not a full time gig for him so he plays when he can
I think he just couldn't make it :(
his grandmother recently died
Whirr
"TEENAGE WRIST" please...
what happened to nick?
wtf, Shauntrack q haces ahii??
Where the hell is Nick Bassett??
Ummm...what? is this the same band from the recordings?
Hahahaahah
Im gonna stick to the recording.
bring Whirr back!!
DON'T GO TO WORK TODAY
LEAVE
When you play Nirvana on 1/2 speed this is what you get
Sounds like a mix between Radiohead and Nirvana.
Nirvana meets the pixies
dominics vocals are weak live..
I guess it's really hard to strum 2 strings while you're really drunk and high
Ride with chainsaws
Nirvana + Radiohead = Nothing
wut
Dave A I feel that so hard
Dave A you mean “creep”
I love Tired of Tomorrow, but they massacred the tunes here
Saw this band in Chicago, and this confirms it. Extremely underwhelming.
nothing special
NIRVANA
No, Nothing is more of a shoegaze band like My Bloody Valentine.
+Ocean Sage someone mentioned Radiohead in the above comments I feel like they're more that than nirvana. But I do see your point!
Definitely more of a blend of Slowdive and My Bloody Valentine. But there is much 90s alternative sound shoved into this band's sound it's hard to tell 'sometimes' (MBV pun intended).
Little Finger on the drums, ladies and gents.
Absolutely overrated band. They play nothing new with 0 songwriting skills and 0 musicianship.
Wrong.
Albert Morales you are an idiot!
Yes you're right they did play new Nothing songs.
I take this comment 0 percent seriously
Bardo Morales i was going to argue your point, which is in fact trash but then i realized that if i had a name like bardo fucking morales id be a bitter hater as well
good dudes, bad band
Great band. They need a better male singer though.
horrible sound
instrumentally it's awesome. Lay off the weed
+Whirrlinq Dont smoke it no more. Im sure if you like the band, u might also enjoy banging your head against a concrete wall.
+stepasidejesus
Me banging my head against the wall probably sounds as good as the music you listen to. If not better.
+Whirrlinq lol
+Whirrlinq I love chewing gum, but unfortunately i dont swallow it. I hear its bad for the digestion process.
This band was super mediocre live. I don't mean to be a negative nancy, but i feel like i wasted my money at their new york show.
