I've done this before to a 7 and 1/2 foot tree. Taking off those lights took me an entire day. I mentally prepared myself because I knew it was going to be a long tedious job. I think I watched 4 or maybe 5 Hallmark movies that day, took lots of breaks, had some snacks & hot chocolate. That was my one and done for un-doing all of that "Elf" work and you're right. It's worth it and I'll never forget it. Thanks for sharing.
Halmark movies are the best to watch when working in our trees! I get to watch my son work when I watch :) He’s been in a few. Most recently he was in one called “Same Time every year” . It was cute:)
Came here via your post on Facebook (unfortunately I don't know what group that was in as Facebook disappeared it before I got back to it!) Thank you for such detail in your explanations. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.
Thank you for watching!! Such an exciting time of year isn’t it!!! I too love detail in the “how to”. I have watched many hours of you tube videos in my education of decorating for Christmas! Have a beautiful Christmas Season!! HoHoHo
Yes!!! I found you! This is exactly what happened to me! I thought I'd never get all my prelit out and I talked to Jesus alot that day...lol I found green wire pieces forever,,,lol
Hi I just found your channel. I’m from Ottawa. I recognized the red boxes of Christmas lights from Canadian Tire and thought you’ve got to be Canadian!! 🇨🇦 I love those lights. I had to snip off my lights from my prelit tree 2 years ago so I know the pain of removing them. I really enjoyed your video.
H Allison! Fellow Canadian! We are going to be up near Ottawa next weekend. Staying at friends in Renfrew and going to watch grandsons play in the Silver Stick in Pembroke! Then, Decorating at my daughter’s place during hunting week:) True Canadian season:) I’m happy you liked the video Allison:) Is this how you put the new lights on the tree you rescued?
Enjoy hunting week and your grandson’s hockey 🏒 Yes I try my best to weave in and out on the branch but never thought about each level separately so I don’t have to do it again year after year. Great idea.
@ appreciate the follow Allison! We can try all kinds of ideas on this platform!! If you have Instagram @corinnalynnchristmas there’s a sample of all the editing I’m working on:) I’m also on Facebook , pop by and say hi.
This was my first time watching your channel. You’re truly needed here. You made this look possible. I’d like to know how you attached the extension cords inside the tree and also how you styled, storage, and organizing of your decorations and tree.
@@Lemonpeel2021 thank you! You’ve made my day! The extension cord in this particular tree was stiff enough it stayed where I placed it. Some I have wired, at times I wrap a pretty material that coordinates with the decor. I will do a video on storage made easy :) Are you on instagram? I will post something quick on there first. Ho! Ho!Ho!
Sue! Thanks for watching:) Have you thought of putting a post on marketplace asking people if they have a tree waiting to be rescued???? That could be fun!!!
I purposely bought an unlit tree so I can do my lights the way I want it. Like you said every year I want the tree lit a little differently. :). Are you going to take the lights off again? or keep it? YESSSSSS....Please show us how you decorate a real tree!!! I am the same as you, loved my Frasier Fur tree but it kept getting so dry. My kids got mad at me but it just became a hassle with ornaments and pine needles everywhere!
@@dinatselepis1734 left the lights on this one, but thinking about running a set of larger round bulbs right up the centre, it gives a really warm look with depth:) The real tree is totally an option at this point:) Follow the Instagram @corinnalynnchristmas I just may story it. I’m trying hard to learn all the techy stuff:) hehehe
I bought two unlit trees 3 years ago because the lights go out. I love to run lights all day until I go to bed. I just add new lights every year when needed.
@@87jallen I do as well! On most trees. I did one tree with lots of colours , child like, Tigger tree, I liked bright lights in that one:) I think I posted it on my Instagram page. @corinnalynnchristmas

Great job Corinna Lynn! Did you wire the extension cord to the centre of the tree?
@@NannyB444 you thank you! I have done so before. This particular time I didn’t need to. It’s dependant on the actual cord and how dense the tree is.
I absolutely love your videos Corinna. You are so talented. Merry Christmas!!
Thank you Karen! You and your ease in front of a camera have very much inspired me! Merry Christmas!
How many lights on each strand?
Hi Joan:)
Each strand had 100 lights. Each box had 2 strands:)
When do you put your tree up?
