beside that, they training like 12-15 hours a day. not only valorant scene, other games as well. Smoggy just happy his hardwork got paid off

In this interview, Smoggy talked about some of the nicknames given by the extremely toxic Chinese fans and how he didn't like it. He said that he had to go to therapy because of how much shit he had to deal with when streaming or reading his DMs. Some called him a fraud for replacing Life and taking duelist role away from KK, when in fact those were team decisions.
The toxic nicknames hurt the most because it involves Smoggy's family making it very personal, Smoggy cried after winning releasing all of his emotions stacked since 2 years ago.
Not to mention the constant racism from certain foreigners.
To be fair, edg had the most off season matches, they really honed everything and worked their asses off

@@wyvern5400 EDG performed badly earlier this year especially in the Shanghai Masters. I didn't follow vct at that time too much but I think CN fans just picked out on smoggy b/c his stats were poor and that his real name could somehow be made into a pun with an ancient Chinese emperor, and that pun literally curses his family to die. When smoggy and the team's performance improved, fans started to post good comments but still using phrases derived from that horrendous pun. It caused so much emotional harm to smoggy, which he mentioned in a documentary by his team.
@wyvern5400 All edg members were getting hate because of their performance in Madrid and Shanghai. I mean, they were already getting way before that, so you could imagine how hard it was on the boys.
Like the guy above me mentioned, smoggy especially got a lot of hate, and the haters were even hating on his family (the guy above me explained it pretty well)
If Paper Rex is also able to control their aggresion, they would have already won a championship too. Like damn EDG's playstyle changed for the better.

Edg has the better coach and igl tho and i think edg's players are better and more versatile than prx

PRX are not very good at using sentinel utilities which was crucial in this Finals.
One thing just made me realized. From now on, each region need to work together. Come up with strat against other regions for the 2025 Champions.
