- There was a lot of action on the Mission with all the permitted cruising in San Francisco, Ca. on July 13th 2019. 24th and mission is the place to be after king of the streets every year. To legally cruise with a permit is unheard of.

We do have the Ben Davis up here tho which was established in S.F. l think the white shirt n khakis was pretty much everywhere; it being a working class type style, or the marines with the belts n all. But yeah, L.A pretty much started it all. The first issue of Low Rider magazine came out in 1976 or 77, out of San Jose. Just sayin' the Bay pretty much followed up right then n there 'cause we're in the same state. It took a very long time for other places to catch on. But in every major city, in every state, since rock n roll in the 50's, people been cruisin on their boulevards; just not low riders. More hot-rods n that sort. I was born in '81, what'o l know. Hot-rods probably started in L.A too, haha, l dont know. Ok, lm done. 😐

San Jose California my dude. Also dickies and all that etc is not just an LA thing. Dickies are made and are from Texas, it’s just the movie industry that has a large impact on its popularity in LA. So to cruise with a permit is unheard of you say. Good thing you live in the land of the free. ha ha ha. In my country we do not have to ask permission to jump in a car and go for a drive, slow or fast. Another thing that makes me giggle a little is why so much G.M. products in the low rider community? Like as if dodge and fords never made a good looking car or something. Maybe is is like the 50 shades of corn as a food thing? maybe one day a Mexi -can will discover a mid 60's car with fins and steak with veggies can be just as good, or maybe a Mexi-can't do this out of fear of thinking out of the box. No matter i like the paint jobs on some of the cars and Taco's also, but not exclusively.
