- Radiohead have become one of my favourite bands, and after checking out their discography it is now time to move into some of the side projects. The Smile are a group made up of Radiohead members Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood with Tom Skinner. I have been backpacking and travelling around these last couple of months but when I heard the news they had released a new single for their second project I knew I had to check it out. “Wall Of Eyes” is the new album title and coincides with the title of this new single. When I return to the studio in the new year I will absolutely be checking out their first LP along with the new album when it releases. In the meantime here is my reaction and dive into the new sound by some of the boys from Radiohead.
My name is Jack and I love music, in particular Hip Hop, I decided to make this channel as a way to engage with other music lovers and because there doesn't seem to be a lot of reaction channels on TH-cam...My goal has always been to be open to all types of music regardless of my love of Hip Hop, on this channel you can expect a rich array of genres. If you're keen to join me on my music journey then please subscribe, if you ever want to give your thoughts on an album or song that I have reacted to, then please do. I want this channel to be a community and if you love music of any genre then welcome!!!
Great reaction!! Would love to see you reacting to the full 1st album "A Light for Attracting Attention". There's a lot to love in it if you're a Radiohead fan.
coming really soon!
Can't come soon enough. @@cavemanjackWill there be coverage of Atoms for Peace and Thom Yorke solo stuff?
Great Reaction!

Figuratively.
Yep, just a month away!
I wasn't super down with The Smile until I was lucky enough to see them live. Now I'm just grateful that Thom and Johnny are making music.
Can’t wait for “The Eraser” ..❤❤
Bending Hectic! Bending Hectic!! Incredible song with a beautiful story. Paints a very vivid picture. Can’t wait for you to hear it ❤
Can't wait!
This is such an infectious little tune, isn't it? I still have it playing on repeat. Going to see them in March, can't wait.

I love this song. Bending Hectic is most people's favorite. This is the song I play over and over.
Don’t know how I got here but I love your reactions!
Hahaha got to see it before everyone else !

Beautiful atmosphere ❤
Now it’s time to react to The smile’s cutouts album 👍
Backpack Jack love it mate! Safe journeys 🌍
Would love to see you do some reactions to some of Thom's solo work. "Twist" is one of my favorite tracks, and I think you'd get a kick out of it. The buildup on that track is just crazy. Almost as if he just mashed two tracks together.
Pre ordered the vinyl of the second already ❤, can’t wait to get it
AH MAN! You have a bunch of shows all over the UK if you can make it there somehow...wrong continent I know.....I personally believe in my bones we have one more Radiohead album (LP10) and that'll be a global tour. But if The Smile comes your way the venue's are so much more intimate and it is worth any effort to make it. They used a new producer other than Nigel which is a huge anomaly, but this guy did Thom's "Suspiria" movie soundtrack, so still part of the overall family. As for the future on the band, they have no tension, that helps, their kids are older so that's less of a factor after an 8 year break, and Thom and Jonny are 2 of the most incredible musical minds of the last 3 decades....these Smile albums show that doesn't just go away. #rd guitarist ED *the guy who does the 2nd rhythm lines and spacey echo effects and backing vocals( put out a solo album 2 years ago, as did the drummer, on acoustic guitar no less, and all signs point to one last Triple Crown send it on a gold record in a satellite for aliens to hear, final magnus opus. Jonny has 2 Academy ward nominations for soundtracks and will soon get a win, Thom is our Dylan, Lennon, Young, Johnson, Cobain talent and mid 50's isn't really post prime by any actual means. He has 15 years or more of giving us shivers and using new tech as it comes out like he did on his EPIC solo debut :The Eraser" which from 2006 to now the electronica seems silly now....all the members are either unplanned geniuses who happened to all meet in Grade School, find a gel that happens once in a century, and had 2 legitimate Savant level musicians randomly happen to be amongst them. The Universe is weird. Hell, their producer stuck with every album and even Thom's artist buddy Stanley Donwood did every cover after the bends and created the Radiohead bear logo and his art is some of the coolest stuff on earth regardless of RH. And their songs and albums kick ass. But I like The Smile a lot just as I did Thom's 2008 "Amok" with Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and other modest all star lineup.. It is a crucial record with a ton of sick tunes on it. You mentioned Jonny's movie scores....have you ever see "There Will Be Blood:? Daniel Day Lewis at his top game......arguably the best movie of the 21st Millennium and rightfully so. But the music and sounds are absolutely beyond pivotal and crucial to the movie...Jonny's genius rivals or equals Thom .... I am rambling.....I look forward to finding new bands to get into via your channel. I play guitar and definitely can play and love the joy of playing RH songs but well I am not much of a singer and Thom does NOT make it easy to sing along. Just know, after the solo and side projects, almost every RADIOHEAD album has a 6 to 12 collection of B-sides and there are scant few duds - some masterpieces - along with unrecorded covers, songs from livestreams, acoustic sets with Thom and Jonny, and the treasure all fans seek - the unknown mystery songs maybe played at one sound check that one guy has half of and the other has the rest, and many others fully played.......got to be 70 or 80 B-sides, and they are - yeah some odd ball stuff - but mostly fire, smoke, and eardrum provoking, toe tap evoking, vibes. Since they change their style and Thom and Jonny both stretched their musical boundaries, I for one truly hold out hope for album #10....the #10 has all kind of band lore so it would be the fitting way to go out. Until then hope 2024 is treating you great and keep expanding the obvious love you have for doing your videos!
Single name drop: UNKLE - Rabbit In Your Headlights (feat. Thom Yorke)
Clark feat Thom Yorke - "Medicine"
